the two-faced Adopted Girl Who Melted CEO's Ice-Cold Heart-Chapter 798: Remember the Feeling I Gave You
The man experienced a brief moment of panic but quickly suppressed his vulnerability, coldly resolving to guard his woman. Even against another version of himself, he refused to back down.
Ignatius Leclair ran his hand through her soft hair and asked in a low voice, "What’s the script you picked this time?"
He climbed into bed, revealing his toned chest, gesturing for her to lean in close. His deep, ink-like eyes locked onto hers.
Delphine found his demeanor exceptionally alluring for the first time. Feeling a bit shy, she covered her face, exposing faint dimples and leaned against his chest. As she began talking about the script, her eyes lit up brightly. "This time, it’s a suspense screenplay. I’ve never seen anything so stunning before."
Delphine rolled over, propped her head up with her hand, and chatted with him about the newest script.
The script is called A Letter from an Unknown Woman. The story is set aboard a luxury cruise ship. During a New Year’s carnival hosted by the internationally renowned M Company, seven lucky users who purchased M Company products were selected to receive a seven-day luxury cruise trip.
Seven individuals of vastly different backgrounds received a letter and a ticket on the same day, embarking on a journey toward death.
Since it was nighttime, Delphine’s voice was soft and slightly husky. She delicately explained the brilliance of the screenplay to him in detail, her excitement causing her voice to involuntarily rise at certain points. Her bright eyes sparkled as she shared her thoughts.
Engrossed in the script, the young woman radiated a gentle glow that reminded him of the youthful Delphine Carter—once a girl whose laughter had the same luminosity.
Ignatius Leclair felt an extraordinary gentleness in his heart; her voice seemed to fall directly into his soul. Without waiting for her to finish, he pulled her tightly into his arms and said in a low, raspy voice, "I’m truly happy that you’re willing to share your films with me—your joy. You must always stay happy, understand?"
Surprised to be pulled into his embrace, Delphine let out a soft smile as he encircled her body with a firm grip. Pressing her face against his chest, she listened to his heartbeat, catching the faint, crisp scent of pine emanating from him. She asked softly, "What were you discussing with Dr. Jane tonight?"
Ignatius’s body stiffened momentarily. On such a night, he truly didn’t want to bring up another person. In a low voice, he replied, "I felt a bit unsettled, so I asked Dr. Jane to come over for a chat. Supposedly, it’s beneficial for mental health. If you’re willing to talk to me in the future, then I won’t need a psychologist anymore."
There was a hint of amusement in his voice. Delphine quickly shook her head and laughed, "I need to go act in films to support the family—you should keep seeing a psychologist."
Hearing her response, Ignatius narrowed his phoenix-like eyes and flipped her over, pinning her beneath him. Though he knew it was a sensitive period and he should maintain some distance, her fresh, fair skin after the bath, her deep black, enchanting eyes—they made it impossible for him to resist. Lowering his head, he kissed her fervently. In her ear, he murmured in an almost imperceptible voice, "Remember the way I make you feel."
What followed was fragmented and blurred. Delphine woke up late the next day; the man was already gone.
Delphine called Kyla Zamora, informing her that she’d found the perfect script and could start preparing for negotiations and production arrangements.
The market for suspense dramas in the country has always been robust. Delphine’s second film shot after entering the industry also carried suspenseful elements, so preparing A Letter from an Unknown Woman wouldn’t pose too much difficulty. This new drama has seven main characters, each of varying ages and professions. Since it’s a suspense drama, the focus lies on the actors’ skills, not their looks. Delphine planned to cast seasoned, capable actors for the roles.
