The True Heiress is the Reserved Fiancé's Exclusive Memory-Chapter 618 - 632: Koa’s Proposal (8)
"It’s nothing much." Mia Ginger smiled faintly.
Strangely, she didn’t feel like sharing her matters with Koa Jackson with others.
Even if that person was her own mother.
"You clearly seem to have something on your mind." Aurora Cooper glanced at Bradley Cooper, then back at her face, gesturing to the spot next to her. She gently said, "Sit down. Stay and chat with us for a while."
"Alright." Mia Ginger agreed with a light smile.
She walked over and sat on the sofa beside Aurora Cooper.
Aurora Cooper smiled and said, "Your uncle and I were just talking about you. Have you discussed going abroad for studies with Dr. Jackson?"
"No." Mia Ginger answered truthfully.
"Why not?" Bradley Cooper looked at her in surprise, "Did you have a disagreement?"
"Not at all." Mia Ginger chuckled, "Brother Jackson seems aloof usually, but in reality, he’s not. He’s very good to me, won’t argue with me, let alone let me suffer any grievance. It’s just me, overthinking."
"What are you thinking about at your age?" Aurora Cooper scolded her with a glance.
"Hmm." Mia Ginger thought for a moment, helplessly said, "Actually, I don’t know, just feeling a bit anxious."
"Did you remember anything from the past?" Aurora Cooper asked.
"No." Mia Ginger felt a bit helpless.
Bradley Cooper glanced at her, "If not, so be it. People who lack some memories tend to overthink, but past things are past. You have to look forward in life; immersing yourself in gloomy emotions is like trapping yourself in a cocoon." 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
"I understand." Mia Ginger pressed her lips together.
"I thought you two would discuss going abroad for studies." Aurora Cooper smiled lightly and gently said, "Since it hasn’t been brought up, let it be. Take your time to think about it, but make sure to keep it in mind. It’s normal for people your age to fall in love, but love shouldn’t be blind. In life, apart from love, there are many other important things, like your career. You’re still young, maybe you don’t take what we say seriously now, but if you regret it in the future, it might be too late, understand?"
Mia Ginger bit her lip and after a moment, asked, "Mom, why did you deceive me back then?"
"What?" Aurora Cooper was taken aback.
"Why did you say that Dallas Taylor was my fiancé?" Mia Ginger voiced the question that had puzzled her for a long time.
"..." Aurora Cooper thought for a moment, "I just felt that you were too deeply involved in that relationship."
"Is that so?" Mia Ginger frowned slightly, then after a moment, smiled and said, "I see. I was just asking casually; I’ll think carefully about going abroad for studies."
"No pressure." Bradley Cooper reassured her.
"I understand." Mia Ginger smiled as she stood up, "I’ll go back to my room to rest first."
"Go ahead." Aurora Cooper said gently.
"Okay."
Mia Ginger nodded and walked towards the bedroom.
From morning till night, she had been rushing around to several places, naturally feeling tired by evening.
Mia Ginger first took a shower.
