The True Heiress is the Reserved Fiancé's Exclusive Memory-Chapter 546 - 557: Is It Love? (8)
In reality—
He saw Olivia’s frown and felt a bit worried.
But he really couldn’t help making a comment.
Olivia ignored him, got up from the bed, and went to the dressing room.
She took out two pieces of clothing and said indifferently, "You just stay here then. I won’t keep you company. I’m going to take a shower first."
Victor’s gaze was locked on her, and he remained silent.
In his sight—
Olivia had already gone into the bathroom, and with a crisp sound, locked the door from inside.
"Tch." Victor rolled his eyes in frustration, feeling bored, and wanted to leave the room.
The sound of running water came from the bathroom.
He hesitated and then didn’t feel like leaving anymore, so he simply sat down in front of the vanity table.
Olivia didn’t care much for dressing up, and didn’t have many things. Since he was bored, he took everything she had and examined each item.
He wasn’t impressed.
What brand are these? He hadn’t even heard of them.
Too shabby!
Olivia took a twenty-minute shower, blow-dried her hair till it was half dry, and came out wearing clean clothes.
A light beige sweater on top and black pants below, very plain.
With her simple face, she couldn’t look any more modest.
Victor frowned at her and snorted, "Dressed like that, people who don’t know might think you’re the housemaid."
Olivia paused, but didn’t respond to him.
"Didn’t you hear me?" Victor said irritably.
"I heard you." Olivia glanced at him and replied calmly, "There are no strangers in the house. Even that lady you brought knows I’m not a maid, so no one would mistake me."
Victor snorted coldly, "No progress in over ten years. There’s no one else quite like you in this world."
"Did you come up here just to pick a fight with me?"
Even a rabbit will bite when it’s cornered. Olivia was already in a foul mood from her encounter with Dallas Taylor earlier, and was just starting to relax after a shower, but now she couldn’t hold back and snapped back.
"Oh!" Victor smiled in surprise, "Angry?"
"No."
Olivia applied lotion to her face, not bothering to get angry with Victor, otherwise she would have died of anger long ago.
She had long since become immune to him.
Victor watched her back, wanting to say something, when suddenly there was a knock on the door from outside, "Miss, dinner is ready."
"Coming." Olivia replied, tidying her hair a bit, and headed out the door.
Victor snorted and followed out slowly.
——
In the dining room.
Midway through dinner, Madam Williams glanced at Olivia and suddenly said, "Keep your schedule free this weekend."
"Got it, Mom." Olivia responded with a smile.
Victor, who was eating, paused suddenly, losing his appetite.
Can she not be so obedient?
Not even asking for a reason!
However, Madam Williams smiled and said, "Do you remember Young Master Lewis we met last time?"
"Which Young Master Lewis?" Olivia was puzzled.
She had gone on many blind dates; there must have been at least two or three with the last name Lewis, right?
"The only son of the chairman of Hendrix Real Estate." Madam Williams reminded with a smile, "We met two weeks ago, didn’t we? He said he liked you very much and called twice, but you didn’t answer..."
"Oh." Olivia thought for a moment, "I forgot to save his number. I don’t usually answer calls from strangers."
"Really?" Madam Williams paused, then continued, "Forget it then. Meet him again this weekend. Get to know each other better. I think he’s a nice kid, and his personality complements yours."
