Chapter 507: Chapter 518: I’m Back (7)

Koa Jackson and a nurse wheeled Mia Ginger to the side doctor’s lounge.

"Dr. Jackson."

Seeing Koa Jackson lost in thought, the nurse beside him gently called out.

Handing him a razor.

Koa Jackson raised his hand to take it, bent down, and calmly lowered his head to shave Mia Ginger’s hair.

Koa’s hands were still a bit shaky. The nurse watching him felt that his movements were incredibly slow, overly quiet, and excessively gentle. She dared not speak.

No one knew how much time had passed before Koa Jackson finished shaving Mia Ginger’s hair.

He said to the anesthetist beside him, "Thank you."

"It’s my duty, don’t worry too much," the anesthetist replied with concern and proceeded to wheel Mia Ginger out.

Koa Jackson stood in place, taking a deep breath.

Headed to the changing room.

He put on a full set of sterile clothes, bowed his head, put on gloves, and entered Operating Room No. 1.

For the first time, the lights felt glaring.

Causing dizziness.

Professor Quinn had already prepared, looking at him with concern, "Are you okay? Don’t worry too much."

"I’m fine," Koa Jackson looked at him, thought a little, and softly said, "I’ll be the lead surgeon."

"..." Professor Quinn was taken aback, and after a moment, looked at him in surprise and objected, "How can that be?"

"I can do it," Koa Jackson met his gaze.

Professor Quinn stared at him for a long time, seemingly lost in thought, before nodding in reluctant agreement.

"I’m counting on you."

As Koa Jackson finished speaking, he stepped onto the operating table.

Professor Quinn closely followed.

The lights illuminated half of Koa Jackson’s fair face. He wore a mask, standing beside Mia Ginger, holding a scalpel, scrutinizing her for a moment, then lowly voiced, "Begin."

Everyone on the platform instantly became solemn.

Watching him made everyone tense.

There was none of the usual ease and relaxation when they were usually on the operating table with him.

The nurse beside him felt it especially deeply.

Every so often, Koa Jackson would turn to her and quietly instruct, "Wipe the sweat."

Time ticked by.

By the end, the nurse had no idea how many times she had wiped sweat from Koa Jackson’s forehead.

It was a lot, far more than any other time she had assisted him.

——

Outside the operating room.

Aiden Jiang and others who had rushed over were anxious.

Seeing that three hours had passed, Aurora Cooper couldn’t stay calm, clutching her arms, pacing back and forth rapidly.

Turning, she bumped into Bradley Cooper.

"Don’t worry, they said Koa Jackson is inside," Bradley Cooper reassured her in a low voice, holding her shoulder.

"He’s inside?" Aurora Cooper glared at him, gritting her teeth and too angry to speak.

Aiden Jiang glanced at her and said calmly, "Koa’s medical skills are still reliable, don’t worry too much."

"You have a big heart." Aurora Cooper shot him a look, grumbling, "Your daughter was barely in her first year of college and went to live with a man, and you were at ease. What do you consider a problem then?"

Aiden Jiang: "..."

Their complicated relationship left Mason Sutton and Bradley Cooper unable to interject.

Margot hurried over to support Aurora Cooper, quietly comforting, "Don’t be angry, sister will definitely be okay."

Aurora Cooper looked at her and stepped to the chair beside her.

Bob Ginger sat next to her, rubbing his hands nervously.

He seemed very tense.

Aiden Jiang withdrew his gaze, looking at the tightly closed doors of the operating room, and heavily sighed.
