After a moment, she couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
She turned on her side and opened her arms to the Chancellor.
The Chancellor shook its body twice, stood up, placed its two front paws on her bed, and nudged its black nose towards her.
Mia was amused by its serious demeanor.
She leaned forward, hugged its head, and rubbed her cheek softly against its fluffy fur, whispering, "Mr. Chancellor, shall we go for a run?"
The Chancellor remained silent.
She continued hugging its head, gave it a sidelong glance, and queried in confusion, "Are you a mister?"
Caiden brought it here, and she still didn’t know if the Chancellor was male or female.
The Chancellor looked at her, still maintaining a mysterious air.
Mia helplessly patted its ear, muttering, "Is that the only expression you have?"
Getting its ear patted, the Chancellor shook its head, withdrew from her embrace, and squatted a step away.

She climbed out of bed.
Put on her clothes and took the Chancellor out for a walk.

With the Chancellor in tow, she walked slowly along the route Koa usually took for his runs.

Ever since Koa boarded the plane, there had been no news at all.
Though only a few hours had passed, it already felt agonizing for her.
She was so lost in thought that she didn’t even notice she had wandered into the middle of the street.

The Chancellor suddenly barked twice, startling her.
Mia was momentarily stunned, and the Chancellor looked at her firmly, wagged its large fluffy tail slightly, and walked earnestly to the side.
After walking a couple of steps, it stopped and turned to glance at her, waiting for her to catch up.
Mia smiled, about to leap over, when a horn suddenly sounded in her ear.
She turned her head to see a black stretch limousine stopped nearby, its window slowly rolling down to reveal the smiling, surprised face of Aurora Cooper.
"Chairman Cooper."
"Such a coincidence." Aurora looked at her with a smile and said in surprise, "You live here too?"

Mia hesitated for a moment, then shook her head, "No, my boyfriend lives here."
"Then why are you out here alone?" Aurora looked at her inquisitively, asking in a very gentle voice.
