The Trending Topic Herself: The Villainess is the Superstar!-Chapter 174: Bloodbath
Rose Adler heard Leo Lancaster’s words and frowned deeply, the anger on her face yet to dissipate; just now, she had a major argument with Leo Lancaster.
Now, turning the corner, she encountered Maya Monroe, and Leo Lancaster made such a request. Does he really not value her suggestions?
Rose Adler’s expression was grim, but in front of others, she couldn’t directly undermine Leo Lancaster.
Scott’s face wrinkled; he constantly remembered Ryan Spencer’s teachings and the daily reminders: "Brother Leo, this, this doesn’t seem appropriate..."
Leo Lancaster looked over, his gaze like a knife soaked in warm water: "What’s inappropriate?"
"This..." Scott brought Ryan out: "Brother Ryan said Sister Maya now isn’t suitable for any scandals. She, she’s finally managing to clean up her image, if there’s any unexpected incident..."
Just by saying this, Scott seemed to recall the dark days, wherever he went, followed by a horde of haters who hurled insults.
"Don’t worry, I promise not to let any gossip that shouldn’t appear come out. Besides... I just want to catch up with Maya."
Scott was in a dilemma for a moment: "This..."
The main person suddenly spoke lazily: "Brother Leo, let’s postpone this for another day; I’m used to being in my own RV, I’m not quite comfortable changing vehicles."
What was there to catch up on between the two of them? Maya knew she wasn’t the original owner, and even possessing memories, she couldn’t guarantee she wouldn’t slip up. After all, to some extent, Leo Lancaster was very familiar with the original owner.
"You’ve grown up suddenly, and have many opinions of your own." Leo Lancaster sighed, but there wasn’t much emotion in his eyes.
His voice didn’t sound angry at all, still as gentle as a flowing stream: "Let me at least escort you to your car; I’ll be reassured watching you get in."
Maya nodded her head softly.
With so many people outside, what danger could there be? However, what Leo Lancaster said wasn’t much of an issue, she agreed anyway.

Ian Rowe looked boringly at the scene outside the car window, faintly seeing numerous glances cast in their direction. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
The RVs and luxury cars here weren’t uncommon, but billionaire-level luxury cars were still a bit too conspicuous.
"She hasn’t come out yet..."
Vincent Summers sat in the driver’s seat, yawning from fatigue: "Hmm... Maybe she’s held up... Don’t they say these celebrities always have tons of issues? Encountering a crowd of fans, they’d probably have to spend some time juggling them..."
Ian Rowe’s gaze casually stayed on the outside, but suddenly paused, then his eyes narrowed, a hint of gloom flashing through his sight.
"I’ve heard, you know, last time at the airport there was quite a well-known celebrity..." Vincent Summers was still chattering nonstop, suddenly hearing the door open behind him; when he turned to check, Ian Rowe had already left the car.
Vincent Summers quickly unfastened his seatbelt, shouting: "Ian, why did you suddenly leave? Wait... Ian, can’t you wait for me? I can’t keep up!!"
The night wind roared furiously, and Vincent Summers’ voice was scattered into the air in the next second.
Ian Rowe’s gaze was locked firmly on the figure not far away, unprovoked anger boiling inside, searing rational thoughts away.
He could feel the constant scrutinizing glances from people around; Ian Rowe typically disliked being treated as some rare specimen by the curious eyes of a crowd.
Yet at that moment, the thought of searching for her overpowered everything.
"Leo Lancaster, didn’t expect to run into you here..."
The night wind bleak, tousling his hair and revealing increasingly stern features, a tone chilled by the breeze. Yet the faint smile at the corners of his mouth seemed unchanged from normal.
Leo Lancaster clasped Ian Rowe’s hand, a look of surprise in his eyes, but his smile had faded slightly: "Ian, are you here to pick up Maya?"
"Maya?" Ian Rowe savored the name, affection in its calling sounding cold, as if spitting ice shards: "I remember you two were childhood friends, right?"
Leo Lancaster paused: "We still are now."
Ian Rowe chuckled lightly: "How foolish of me, you still will be in the future."
Leo Lancaster’s expression stiffened.
Ian Rowe didn’t overlook his altered expression, finding in that moment a peculiar calm emerging in the heart melted by scorching oil.
Yet his face remained unaffected, still smiling amiably: "Thanks for bringing Maya out; I remember you have plenty of matters to deal with, so we won’t interrupt you."
Every word emphasized ownership.
"...You’re too kind."
Seeing Ian Rowe suddenly, Maya felt her slightly dazed consciousness refreshing, she took this chance to move next to Ian Rowe, wrapping her arms around his waist, rubbing her head against his broad chest.
"Honey, you came to pick me up; I’m really touched..."
Some things had long been second nature, like sweet-talking Ian Rowe.
"Did you miss me so much that you rushed straight over..."
Ian Rowe looked down at her fluffy hair, couldn’t help but gently stroke it, another hand wrapped around her waist.
Inhaling the fragrance from her, all the irritation seemed to gradually dissipate.
He raised his eyes, looking straight at Leo Lancaster: "The night is cold, and she’s afraid of the chill, I’ll take her back now."
Scott shrank next to Maya, inexplicably feeling the surrounding air frigid as if ice daggers were about to fall from the sky.
Leo Lancaster was still in a daze, unable to recover, his gaze sunk.
Since childhood, he’d never heard her acting spoiled like that, like honey from a jar, sweet to the core, entangling the heart entirely making it hard to breathe.
Leo Lancaster lifted his head, a faint smile appearing: "...That’s indeed so, then Ian, you should leave quickly to avoid the chill, Maya’s health is weak, whenever she catches a cold, she needs a few days to recuperate."
"Is that so? I’ve never seen her catch a cold." He said this while already wrapping Maya in the coat he’d prepared if need be.
Maya wasn’t aware of the gamble between Ian Rowe and Leo Lancaster, but as soon as the down jacket was draped over her, she felt stiflingly hot; she immediately expressed resistance, grabbing hold of the garment to tug it outward.
"I don’t want to wear this, it’s too thick, uncomfortable inside!"
Ian Rowe didn’t release his hold around her: "Don’t take it off, bear with it; you can take it off in the car."
Maya seemed truly calmer now.
Ian Rowe once more looked at Leo Lancaster, his gaze hardly mild: "Then we’ll leave first; visit me when you have time."
The moment they locked eyes, sparks seemed to ignite the air.
Leo Lancaster’s smile nearly faltered, watching helplessly as Ian Rowe half-hugged Maya away, yet still forced a gentle demeanor: "Take it slow on the road."
