The Top Omega Hunter Wants a Quiet Life [BL]-Chapter 183: Ch : Toward the End- Part 3
"Ace... are you alright?"
Rhiner rushed toward me as I staggered. We were right in the middle of clearing out a dungeon when I was suddenly hit with a dizzy spell and almost went down. But since I was not alone in the dungeon, other people picked up the pace for me.
My legs shook and I could feel something trickling down my face. I looked down with my fuzzy vision, only to see blood ticking down my face at a fast pace.
"Blood—! You are bleeding? Oh no—! We need to get you to a safe place as soon as possible and look you over—! Hey, back down right now. You are in no condition to be standing up..."
Rhiner complained as I pushed past him to get back to my feet. I needed to see the end of this dungeon at all costs.
I called forward my familiars to blast the core of the dungeon. That action suddenly caught people off guard and by the time they realized what was happening, it was too late.
The dungeon had already been taken care of and I had finished another task at hand.
I ignored the worried words that Rhiner was sprouting at me and decided to head toward the next dungeon.
"What’s next?"
I asked, and the alpha beside me sighed before he grabbed my arm to tug me down. His strength proved to be insufficient, but he still did not let go of my hand.
"First of all, you need to calm down. I know that you are worried and all, but panicking like this is not going to solve anything. You are going to collapse at this rate."
Rhiner told me and that sounded appealing. I wanted to close my eyes and surrender myself to my fate as well.
However, the gazes of people around me brought me back and reminded me that it was not a good idea. I would disappoint too many people if I disappeared like that.
So, despite my body’s protest, I pushed myself back to my feet and looked at the alpha in front of me.
"Sorry. I did not mean to push myself past my limit. Maybe I am pushing myself too much... I feel dizzy."
I finally complained as I stood on my feet. A few drops of my blood fell on the ground and Rhiner pushed his hand on top of my eyes to make sure I could not see.
"Just rest for now. Close your eyes and allow your body to relax. Leave this dungeon to us. We have been clearing dungeons for the past 10 years as well. There’s no need to take on all the burden for us."
Rhiner reminded me and I sighed before I allowed sleep to claim me... or so I thought.
But as soon as I closed my eyes, I could picture him—Theo sitting in front of me, and he looked at me with an endearing expression. His hand outstretched toward me as he gave me a patient smile.
"Kyle, come with me. I had been waiting for you all this time... are you alright? You have a weird expression on your face. But don’t worry. Everything will be fine now."
He told me as he insisted on helping me out. I felt my voice caught up in my throat as I extended my own hand toward him. I wanted to take that hand as well.
But just as I placed my own hand in his, I sensed something. That feeling was not coming from my dreams. Something was going on outside and it was dangerous.
"W-What is—"
"Don’t pay attention to what is happening outside. Just pay attention to me and what I am saying to you. Come and join me, Kyle... hey, where are you going?"
Kyle asked me to join him and I would have done that, had a hand not grabbed me from the outside to drag me out. I let out a yelp as I was dragged outside by an unknown force.
When I opened my eyes, I met Rhiner and Lynn’s eyes. The pair looked at me worriedly and Lee Minho frowned as he met my eyes.
"This is the first time I meet you in ages and this is how I find out your secret? With you almost collapsing in front of me and giving me a heart attack? So, would you like to tell me what’s going on?"
He asked and I shook my head. I had no intention of speaking to anyone about what was going on with me.
The alpha sighed, almost as if he expected it. But Lynn did not stay quiet and gave me a worried look.
"Kyle, I know that it’s difficult for you to open up with us. But do remember that we are not your enemies. You can talk to us about things that are bothering you."
Lynn promised, but I did not even know where I could start from. There was just too much to go through and not enough time.
Still, that feeling of things being wrong kept bothering me and I wanted to check that out.
"Talk about something? Well, there is one thing I wanted to talk about. I sensed a weird feeling in the air when I was sleeping. Did anyone else feel that as well?"
The alphas in front of me looked confused at my words.
"A weird feeling? I cannot say that I understand what you are saying. But if you are sure, we can ask the research department to check on that?"
Lynn asked me and I nodded. I pushed myself to stand and walked out of the room. The three alphas looked stunned as they stood behind me.
I turned around to give them a glance and a glare at the same time.
"What’s wrong? Are you not going to follow after me?"
That snapped the three out of their daze and they followed me to the research and development department. And as soon as we reached that side, things started to go wild.
