As soon as Kuro spoke those words, the easy-going smile on his master’s face faded and a blank look took over.
There was even a hint of concern in his eyes as he looked at Kuro before he stood up.
"It looks like a situation I should take a look at. Kuro, lead the way for us."
Kuro’s master told him and Kuro turned around. The people parted unconsciously when his master took a step forward and it was easier for them to get out this way.
"Hey wait a minute—! Where are you going—! I’ll come with you as well."
Rhiner told us as he followed after us. He was the first one to recover and unlike the rest, he was stubborn enough to ignore the warning his body was giving him regarding the monster in front of him.
Kuro thought he was a foolish human and he was not sure what his master would do to him because of all this.
Luckily for the human, his master was in an understanding mood today and just gave the man a lazy look.
"If you want to follow me, you are more than welcomed to. But only if you keep yourself in your lane and do not covet what is mine."
The warning was solid and Rhiner took a step back. By the time he recovered to ask more questions, his feet had already followed the two strangers outside.
They all headed toward the alley where Kuro was taking him and a familiar scent hit their nose. Rhiner felt alarmed and tried to run, only to be blocked by Kuro.
"Don’t cause us any trouble. Let master handle Kyle."
Kuro told him but Rhiner gritted his teeth.
"I don’t know who you are and why you are with Kyle, but I am not about to let someone I know and care for become monster bait. Step away from Kyle now or else—"
Rhiner threatened, only to be shocked silent as Kyle reached out toward the stranger with an almost fascinated expression on his face.
He looked comfortable and relaxed, almost as if he trusted the person in front of him.
Kuro noticed his look and decided to speak up as well.
"As you can see, we are not Kyle’s enemies. We are on his side, no matter which side that may be. You should be more worried about yourself. Are you sure you are feeling fine? You have started to get influenced by this dungeon as well."
Kuro warned and Rhiner finally paid attention to himself, only to find some things wrong.
He could not explain what he felt wrong, but a part of him felt suppressed and the world around him smelled duller.
Rhiner could still smell and feel Kyle’s pheromones but it almost felt like a fog was covering his mind when he tried to focus on it.
"Ugh, my head... it hurts. What is happening to me?"
Rhiner asked as he tried to rub his head, only to fail as the pain started to spiral out of control.
"The dungeon is trying to change you. You must have taken some food or water from here unconsciously. But because you are strong, the process is a little delayed."
Kuro summarized what was happening to Rhiner. But most of his words went in through one ear and out through another.
Rhiner wanted to focus on his words, but his panic was making it a little harder for him to be able to calm down.
"Tsk, get a hold of yourself. Otherwise, you will become a liability for Kyle and us all. Stop panicking. Once this dungeon is cleared, you will go back to normal."
Kuro got annoyed and placed a hand on Rhiner’s shoulder and shook him. That caused Rhiner to finally snap back.
"Y-You are right. I need to focus here. What about Ace? Is he fine?"
Rhiner asked, the influence of the dungeon finally lessening on him. He felt freer but also mortified that he had shown such a weak side of his to someone else.
"Kyle will be fine. The dungeon tried to force his heat cycle out early, but I suppressed it for now. There is no need to panic."
The stranger told Rhiner and for some reason, his words felt reassuring.
It might have been the way the stranger clutched Ace that made Rhiner trust him, or maybe it was because the dungeon still influenced him, but his jealousy felt muted.
"Anyway master, this is not what’s important. Kyle is still marked as the king. What should we do about that?"
Kuro asked only for his master to chuckle.
"Hmm, if Kyle is marked as the king, then he will ascent as the king. There is no need for you to be worried. Everything in this dungeon is made for his sake."

Why would everything in here be for Kyle’s sake? And who were these two people? He had a lot of questions.
Unfortunately, Kyle was not in a condition to tell him.
The omega looked half dazed and his body also staggered against the stranger’s. It almost felt like he was going into heat.
But surely that cannot be right? After all, Rhiner could not smell the strong omega scent that came with an omega in heat, right?

Unlike him, Theo could not only smell Kyle, but also feel his body burning where it touched Kyle’s. He wanted to let go of Kyle, but his body won’t obey.
