Chapter 50: Illusionist eyes

(Kitsuna POV)

Nodding my head in approval. I smiled at seeing how easily these 5 healers dissect and point out every organ and telling me how important they are. I was quite impressed at how fast their learning skill was. It only took them 2 hours to remember everything.

“Ma’am, I am still a bit confused about how this will help us heal people?” One of the healers ask.

“It will make you guys understand where to start healing and how the organ looks like. For example, you guys might have focused on stopping the bleeding first, then internal organs, right. Well, know you guys know that that is not the most important thing. It is still important, but what if the lung got punctured by a sword? What’s more important, the sword wound or the lung.” I explain, looking at them.

“The Lung.” The same healers said. A second later realization struck her, and she nodded in understanding. “Thank you, Ma’am.”

“No problem. Remember, visualization is also imported when it comes to magic. Will you guys stay for the torture side as well?” I ask.

“No, I am fine.”

“Same.”

.....

“Yeah, I am done for the night.”

“I will stay. I think I will learn more, and we can help if needed.”

“I will also stay.”

“Cool, you guys will be a great help,” I said, nodding. Looking around, I started to move some of the bodies around, making it look more gruesome and eerie.

When I was done, I walked to Trinity and asked. “Can you tell your men to get the rest of the captured people here? Except the vice-captain and the commander of the federation army? I have something planned for them. I want to talk to the vice-captain first.”

“I can do that. But why do you want to talk to the vice-captain?”

“You will see. She is way more interesting than you guys think.” I said, smirking.

“Okay, follow me. Luckily the commander is in the same wing as his vice-captain.” Trinity said before going down a hallway again.

Following her down, mom came and walked next to me.

“Why did you say she more interesting than we think?” Mom asks intruded.

“It’s more an assumption, but I think it is because of her that we didn’t see the attack coming.”

“But she is only a Puppeteer.”

“That might be so, but she is a demi-human. The federation discriminates against demi-humans, but she is a vice-captain. Why is that?” I said, smiling.

“If you say so. I am leaving it up to you anyways.” Mom said, shrugging.

“Don’t worry, I will get a lot of information out of him,” I said with an evil smirk.

“Here we are. They are both behind this door. They are still in separate cells, though.” Trinity explains, coming to a stop in front of a metal door. Done explaining, she opened the door and walked in.

“Aah, you finely arrived. You won’t get any information to of me, Haha.” A man said from behind bars to the right. His voice was full of confidence and determination.

“Haha, I can’t wait to break you,” I said, giving him a smirk. The one with the most determination is the funniest to break.

“Haha, like you will be able to break me,” He said, smirking back.

“Yeah, you think so? Sadly I can’t start with you.” I said, faking my sadness.

“I see. Go ahead. She doesn’t know anything about the federation anyways,” He said, still smirking.

“It doesn’t matter,” I said, creating an ice wall sealing his vision off to the cell his vice-captain was in. Walking to the cell across from him, I saw a dog demi-human sitting in seize a position in the middle of the cell. She was also looking down with closed eyes. Looking at her, I sighed in anger and mumbled. “It’s worse than I thought.”

“Can you open the door? I want to go inside?” I ask, looking at Trinity.

“Not happening. She is way stronger than you.” Trinity denied immediately.

“I don’t think she would be attacking me,” I said.

“I don’t-” Trinity started to say, but Mom interrupted her.

“Open it. I think I know what you want to do, Kitsuna, but do understand we cant trust her that easily.” Mom said, taking the keys from Trinity and opening the cell for me.

“I know, I know. Thank you,” I said, walking in. When I was in, I made an Ice wall behind me, making it a private room. And for the first time, Apricot opened her eyes and looked at me, confused.

“Did you not hear that man. I am no use to you,” Apricot said with an emotionless voice. Not answering her, I walked closer to her. Looking her over, I saw she had 2 dog ears on top of her head, with the right one being cut in half. Her tail was also not in good shape. I couldn’t see what color her fur really was as she was dirty.

“You aren’t useless, are you. I mean, you were the vice-captain of the attack squad.” I said, walking around her.

“Hmph, like that means anything.” She snorted, looking down again. Walking even closer to her, I put my hand on her head, making her start shivering like crazy.

“Why are you shivering like that,” I asked, confused. Crouching down, I looked into her eyes. Seeing her eyes shake, I sigh and take my hand back.

“So they did something to you, didn’t they,” I ask out of interest. f𝗿𝗲e𝒘e𝚋n૦𝘃𝙚𝑙.com

Not receiving an answer, I sighed and started thinking of a way for her to start talking. I wasn’t planning to start torturing, but I needed a way for her to talk.

“Okay, I got it. You don’t want to talk about it, but let’s get you cleaned up,” I said, standing up. Walking to a corner of the cell, I made an ice block in front of me. After finishing the ice block, I put my hand in the middle and started blasting some of my fire magic, making the ice block a tub with some water in it.

“There, that should do it,” I said, walking towards her again. Seeing me walk to her again, she started to move backward. “Hey, I’m not going to do anything bad to you. I will only wash you. Then we can start talking again.” I said, picking her up princess carry. Walking back to the tub with her struggling in my arms.

“No, let me go!?” She shouted, struggling. Feeling that most of her power was gone, she looked at me and opened her mouth.

“It might be a bit cold sorry,” I said before she could speak and dropped her into the tub.

“COLD!?” Apricot shouted when her head came back up to the surface. She was about to jump out when I pushed her back into the water.

“Stay! You are dirty.” I shouted while undressing her.

(10 minutes later)

‘That felt so wrong in so many ways.’ I thought, holding back my embarrassment. Sighing, I thought back at how her body looked. There were so many scars on her, and they didn’t look like battle scars.

Feeling my killing intent building up again, I sighed to calm myself. Looking back at her I saw she had the clothes on that I gave her.

‘That’s another pretty face. At least she isn’t from the capital.” I thought, looking at her. Now that she was cleaned up, I could see she had light brown fur, and her looks weren’t that short of Kaydas’.

“Who gave you those scars?” I ask. Hearing my question, she looked down and sat in front of me.

“I got them in fights,” She said with her emotionless voice.

“Fights for your body?” I ask. Seeing her stiffen up, I knew the answer to my own question. “Well, seeing as some of these are fresh, and they are mostly on your back. Gives me also a clue who gave them to you.”

“...”

“So you can’t say something against your master,” I said. Sighing again, I added. “It’s fine. I have enough info already. I won’t ask anything about that topic again.”

“Thank you,” Apricot mumbled in a barely hearable voice.

“Don’t worry. I got a question for you, though?” I said, putting my hand on her chin.

“Yes,” She said, trying to pull away from me.

“Can I remove your contacts? I want to see how your real eyes look like.” I ask, looking at her eyes.

“No, you will be weirded out,” She said, still struggling to get away from me.

“HUH? Have you seen my eyes? I don’t think they can be worse than mine,” I said, pushing her down and quickly removing her contacts. Gasping at the sight of her eyes.

“Illusionist’s eyes? One of the more common eye powers this world has. To think you had those.” I said, looking at her eyes. Her eyes were a mix of multiple neon colors together, making it look like she had two rainbow orb for eyes. Some would say it looked weird for a person, but it was actually beautiful.

Illusionist’s eyes are a special type of eyes that makes illusions looking like reality. Even Mom, with her skill, can’t beat the illusion eyes. She will still fall for it even if their levels are this far apart. The only way to win against it is to know about it and to know what sort of environment you are in.

For example, her Ilussionist eyes won’t easily work on me at the moment because I would know it is her, and I would know if something is out of place. The more I looked at them, the more annoyed I became. Seeing my reaction to her eyes, she started to chuckle.

“...” Apricot didn’t say anything but stiffen up, seeing me get annoyed.

“This is just unfair. Why do I get scary eyes when I could get something this beautiful.” I said, crossing my arms and pouted.

“Hehe, really, that your reaction,” She said, chuckling.

“What are you making fun of me,” I said, still with my cheeks puffed up.

“No, no, it’s just you really look childish at the moment.” She said, hiding her smile.

.....

“Ooh, seems I made you smile, little doggie,” I said, taking her hands away from her mouth.

“Hey! How are you so strong?” She said, pulling her hands out of my grasp.

“Strong? Haha, Nah, I’m way weaker than you actually.” I said, laughing. “The reason why I can best you at the moment is that you have suppressors on, and I have frozen most of your muscle without you knowing. Not enough to leave permanent damage but enough for me to overpower you.” I explain, pointing at the metal braces on her wrists and ankles. I also dispelled my ice magic in her muscles.

“I see. Why are you so nice to me?” Apricot said, looking at me, confused with a hint of hope in her eyes.

“Hmm, because you have suffered a lot, and I want to free you,” I said, tilting my head.

“Free me? You can’t do that, can you?” She said, trying to hide her excitement.

“Sadly, I cannot free you completely as you were a federation soldier. Slave or not. But I can get you to be our slave instead of that rapist over there.” I said, smiling at her and pointed to the ice wall.

“I will still be a slave. What’s the difference?” She said, a bit depressed.

“Yeah, but only until my mother can trust you,” I said, shrugging. Standing up, I added, holding my handout. “But it will be better than that man, won’t it. So, what do you say will you join me?”
