Chapter 269 -269: Effects Of Free Will

“You dilated the passage of time within the space occupied by the dome, didn’t you?” Avanora asked.

“Yes… as you said before, even if I set up the perfect environment, it would still take at least a few billion years for the soul essence to transform into a complete soul and then develop into a complete being. And I don’t want to wait that long,” Damian replied as he walked toward them, still going over the abilities he possessed at the moment.

“The birth of a brand new race will produce an enormous amount of providence and speed up the reemergence. The faster it happens, the better. That’s why I went as far as spending so much energy to establish a Temporal Dilation Field to accelerate the process.”

“How many years of dilation have you established?” Avanora asked curiously.

“One hundred years inside the space equals one second outside. One hundred years of dilation,” Damian replied simply.

“Damn, that seems a little too much,” Tiana said, clearly impressed by what her husband could do.

“I agree. The amount of energy needed to sustain this space is extremely enormous. You could have lowered the dilation ratio a little,” Elizabeth added.

“It’s necessary, and the energy to sustain it is being channeled by my World Tree sisters,” Damian explained.

“Wait, you can borrow energy from the World Trees now?” Sasha asked, her eyes wide.

She knew how much energy a World Tree could possess.

After all, World Trees were the energy sources of countless worlds, especially ancient ones like Yggdrasil and Isha, which governed hundreds of worlds with their power.

That kind of energy was simply unimaginable.

If her beloved brother could really access the energy of the five World Trees, then…

Just thinking about the possibility of someone possessing access to such an unfathomably immense amount of energy, enough to sustain hundreds of worlds, was overwhelming.

And more than that, knowing her beloved brother was the one with such an ability filled her heart and mind with pride, love, and excitement, just like the other sisters.

“Yes… although I only use the energy I channel from them for things like this, not for myself,” Damian shrugged before continuing.

“But you can still use it for yourself?” Grace asked, holding his hand.

“Yes,” Damian replied, gently patting her head. “A few weeks ago, I made certain changes to the World Tree system.”

Damian then began explaining exactly what he had done.

It happened a couple of weeks after he reunited with his family.

It wasn’t anything major, just a very small change, but one that was highly effective in boosting the rate of the reemergence.

As previously established, the five World Trees are the sources of the hundreds of worlds that exist throughout the universe, spanning both the Lower and Upper Planes.

The number of worlds each World Tree governs depends on its age.

Older World Trees preside over far more worlds than their younger counterparts, and as a result, they possess vastly greater reserves of energy.

This energy corresponds directly to the number of worlds under their dominion.

While contemplating this system, Damian conceived a small change, one that would greatly accelerate reemergence and bring about numerous benefits he could already foresee.

That single change was this. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

Instead of the World Trees directly supplying energy to the worlds they governed, as they always had, all of their energy would first flow to him and only then be distributed to those worlds.

Through this adjustment, Damian effectively became a Moderator and, to some extent, a controller, someone capable of regulating and directing the energies produced by the World Trees.

Afterward, many invisible changes began to take place.

First, since all energy was now channeled through him rather than flowing directly to individual worlds, Damian altered its distribution.

He made it so that the energy from all five World Trees would be evenly distributed across every world, regardless of plane or which World Tree originally governed it.

Ordinarily, elder World Trees possessed far more energy than younger ones.

They governed hundreds of worlds and often produced energy far in excess of what was required to sustain them.

In contrast, younger World Trees, which governed only a handful of worlds, generated just enough energy to maintain stable operation.

Any surplus they accumulated was reserved for the eventual creation of a new world.

Elder World Trees, however, possessed such vast reserves that their excess energy alone was sufficient to create dozens of worlds.

This energy would otherwise remain unused.

Now that all of this energy flowed through Damian, everything changed.

The surplus energy of the elder World Trees, combined with the necessary output of the younger ones, was pooled together and redistributed equally among all worlds governed by the five World Trees.

As a result, even worlds under younger World Trees, previously sustained by only the bare minimum, now receive far more energy than required, enough to dramatically elevate their growth.

This redistribution would significantly accelerate the progression of every world.

Moreover, because the energy and accompanying elements were distributed evenly, worlds of the Lower Plane would receive the same level of nourishment as those of the Upper Plane.

This would force the Lower Plane worlds to adapt and balance themselves accordingly, driving their growth until they naturally rose to match the standard of the Upper Plane worlds.

The third benefit was that, as the one channeling energy from the World Trees to the worlds they governed, Damian could use that energy for himself whenever and wherever he wished.

If one were to consider the energy he channeled from the World Trees as his own, then functionally, Damian possessed infinite energy reserves.

This fact was somewhat redundant, however, since he himself was akin to a World Tree.

His soul was almost identical to the souls of the World Trees he possessed, and he held at least as much energy as a younger World Tree, if not more.

There was another unexpected development that occurred when he created this energy channel.

During its creation, Damian’s already deep connection with his World Tree sisters deepened even further, to the point that they began to share their essence with him.

As a result, they were no longer restricted to their own worlds and could now move freely anywhere within the universe.

Furthermore, by receiving Damian’s racial essence as the progenitor of countless races, they gained physical bodies.

They were no longer merely spirits bound to the worlds they governed.

The five World Trees could now live alongside their beloved brother, possessing all their authority, abilities, and energy reserves completely intact.

They still governed their respective worlds, but they were no longer confined to them and could do so from anywhere.

“My energy is already more than enough to do everything I want,” Damian said calmly. “I do not want to strain my sisters.”

“So now what, darling?” Tiana asked. “How long will it take for the new race to come into existence?”

“With the time dilation in place, probably a little more than one year by our time,” Damian replied. He glanced at the dome before turning to look at the mountain of the Sanctum of Renewal.

“I suppose I should leave some people to keep an eye on the dome.”

As Damian pondered this, he sent out a summons.

Moments later, seven streaks of white light shot toward him from the far side of the [Sanctum of Renewal].

They landed before him and revealed themselves as the seven strongest holy angels to have ever existed.

Each knelt on one knee, lowering their foreheads to rest upon their crossed arms.

The Angel of Humility, Michael.

The Angel of Chastity, Gabriel.

The Angel of Patience, Uriel.

The Angel of Temperance, Raphael.

The Angel of Charity, Cassiel.

The Angel of Kindness, Jophiel.

The Angel of Diligence, Zadkiel.

“We are honored to have been summoned by you, Your Highness,” they said in unison.

“Hm.” Damian nodded.

Only after his acknowledgment did they dare to raise their heads, and even then, they did not stand.

“Please give us your orders, Your Highness,” Gabriel said enthusiastically, her eyes brimming with pride and reverence for her king and progenitor.

Gabriel could easily be considered the purest angel in existence, even among the seven great Seraphim.

As the Angel of Chastity, she had devoted herself entirely to the will of the Heavenly Father, who had controlled the free will of every angel to prevent them from falling into darkness.

This control stripped her of any personal desires or emotions.

However, after the supreme ruler of the angelic race, the Progenitor, appeared, the Heavenly Father’s hold over the angels began to weaken.

Once Damian conquered Heaven, or more accurately forced the Heavenly Father into submission, he completely removed the restrictions placed upon them, restoring their free will at last.

Once they gained free will, many angels turned into dark angels, as expected.

Within just a few weeks, thousands upon thousands of holy angels fell, which only went to show how much they had been suppressing their feelings and desires all along.

Interestingly, there were also dark angels who transformed back into holy angels after regaining their purity.

It seemed the Heavenly Father was not only restructuring the free will of holy angels but was also influencing dark angels who were on the verge of becoming holy again.

To him, if the holy angels were to learn of this phenomenon, it would cause them to lose faith in his doctrines.

Damian didn’t care whether holy angels became dark angels or dark angels became holy ones.

For him, everything was about balance, and the sheer number of angels transforming was proof that existence itself was correcting the imbalance between holy and dark angels.

Regardless, after the emergence of free will, both Heaven and Hell became chaotic, keeping the two realms constantly active.

Even amid all this upheaval, I was surprised to find that the Seven Great Seraphim remained holy angels.

Fitting, for the greatest among angels.

Among the Seven Great Seraphs, Gabriel, the Angel of Chastity, developed a particularly intense obsession after gaining free will, one centered on her progenitor.

Whenever he was in Heaven, she would watch him from afar without fear, like a young girl in love, brimming with unnatural excitement.

It seemed the Angel of Chastity had fallen completely head over heels for her progenitor.
