The Supreme Level Up System-Chapter 5 Fallen Kingdom
After a few other months, Aion and his mother finally explored the house beyond the areas that they had been before. That happened when the others left the house and only a few servants stayed behind to watch the house. It looked like Aion's father and the others had been invited to some party. Considering that and other things, Aion assumed that his mother was probably the prisoner of another kingdom. Black and brown hair were the norm there, Aion confirmed that after seeing all of the servants of the house.
In any case, despite the rare opportunity, Artemisia only took him to the library to grab a few books before returning as soon as possible. Aion could respect the life of someone who didn't want to cause problems to anyone, but his mother took that to a whole new level.
Once they returned to their room, Artemisia began to read a book for him. While he was a bit slow, Aion could read most sentences, but he decided to leave that to his mom.
A long time ago, a certain group of people began to prosper a lot in that world. Those people were pretty good at magic and they also had good looks that almost reached a supernatural level. They quickly began to decrease in size and in a matter of a few decades, their village grew to a town, and after a few more decades, it grew to a city.
What started with a group of ten or so people, turned into the largest empire in the world in just five hundred years. With their talent with magic, they could make things a lot easier. Building things, helping with agriculture… Their magic was useful in many fields. Unfortunately, those people began to get complacent, and they began to see themselves as the best people in that world and that everyone should follow them. When things didn't go their way, they began to wage war against their neighbors. That happened so many times and they still won thanks to their magic, but eventually, they made too many enemies and those enemies joined forces to deal with their common enemy.
That war lasted for ten years. All the kingdoms involved lost a lot, but in the end, that magic kingdom was destroyed and the survivors scattered around the world while hiding their identity. Still, even that magic kingdom had a royal family and only one of them managed to survive… she was taken as something like a prisoner to keep the survivors in check and she was taken as a concubine of an young warrior of a prestiged family since many people thought that it would be a waste for her bloodline to disappear. Moreover, if she gives birth to a child, they could make the child with a lot of magic talent loyal to them… that was Artemisia history.
"It probably is a bit too soon for you to understand that, but nothing good comes from arrogance, Aion," Artemisia said. "Even if you are special, you can't count on that to force people to listen to you, even if it is for their own good… grow to become someone who can be better than others while respecting them. Become someone who others decide to follow, not someone who forces the others to follow you. You will probably face some hardships because of this, but don't let the anger control you. Live your own life and be happy. Your mama will endure all the weight of the crimes of our ancestors."
Artemisia had a point, that wasn't the kind of thing someone should tell an eight months old kid. In any other situation, a toddler would just drool while looking at her without thinking about anything.
Regardless, the situation of his new life was more complicated than expected. His father took his mother as a concubine just to have a child of her… she didn't love her, probably because he lost a lot of friends during the war, perhaps even his parents as well. It seemed that she could move around the house, otherwise, the servants would tell Lexus about her trip to the library, but that house truly was her prison… Aion hated that. No one should pay for the crimes of their ancestors.
"I guess one of the first things that I will do in this world is free my mother from this prison…" Aion thought.
Aion had no doubts that his mother was a good person, for over a year, she has been like a caged bird and didn't complain even once. She even accepted to bear the child of an unknown man for the sake of atonement for the history of her kingdom… even from the perspective of a former firefighter, she was kind of annoyingly too nice. While that was one of her good points, it was also one of her bad points.
"I guess my hypothesis was correct… she is from a famous bloodline and so am I by default," Aion thought.
Aion found his first purpose in that world, now he could focus extra hard to reach it. The only problem was that his leveling up speed decreased, relying on Meditation was rather limiting for his growth and taking things from his house to absorb or process might cause problems to his mother. While he was thinking of what to do, Aion suddenly had an idea.

Aion used the free improvement points that he had in the Ninja class, and increased the efficiency of Furtivity. It was weird since the weapon of that class was a shuriken… still, with one of the skills, he could become semi-invisible and since he had no better use of his mana, he decided to try that. The cost of the skill was originally ten mana points per minute, but thanks to the improvement points, it decreased to 8,8.
"It seems those extra effects can go up to the level of one hundred… it will take a while, but it seems I can nullify the cost of skills," Aion thought.
At first Aion thought that focusing on using magic as much as possible in the future would be better. That was why he focused on the mage class and Meditation, but now he decided to be more efficient, if even a little bit.
