The SSS Ranked Villain's Return-Chapter 53: Awards
Just as Magnus finished his words, he left, leaving the exhausted Neraxis and the passed-out Kael in the training room.
Nonetheless, Neraxis decided to look around for some potions, but found none.
He tried waking Kael, but it was to no avail. Therefore, Neraxis had to hoist him onto his back and carry him over to the infirmary.
It was not too far away, and after a couple of turns, they arrived.
But as Neraxis entered the room, the sight of a green-haired woman greeted his eyes, and without even looking at either of them, she spoke.
"Two? Sit down anywhere, I’ll be with you in just a moment."
He nodded vaguely and laid Kael down on a nearby infirmary bed, before sitting on a stool not far from the woman.
Soon, she finished whatever she was doing and stood up, walking toward Neraxis first and placing her hand on his forehead.
Immediately, the minor wounds he had just moments ago began healing.
The healing was faster than he expected, but before he could thank her or say anything, she went over to Kael and healed him as well.
Like Neraxis, his injuries were healed nearly instantly.
That healing skill really is exceptional…
Just as he thought that, he heard Kael groan and suddenly shoot up out of the infirmary bed.
However, because he was still a bit disoriented, he fell straight to the floor, earning strange looks from both Neraxis and the woman.
"What...? How did I end up here?" Kael stared around the entire room, a puzzled look on his face.
Not even a couple of seconds later, a frown appeared, marking the moment he began remembering what had happened.
"Looks like you finally snapped out of it," Neraxis remarked with a chuckle before standing up and preparing to go back to the classroom.
But just as he approached the door, he remembered a crucial detail.
His academy uniform had been torn once again.
Even as durable as it was made to be, their attacks were simply too strong. Kael didn’t look great either, having taken the full brunt of the punches.
"There’s a change of clothes in there," the woman stated, pointing to a nearby locker.
He immediately walked up to it and opened it, revealing tens—if not hundreds—of stacked uniforms.
Quickly, he picked one up and gestured for Kael to do the same.
Closing the curtains near the infirmary bed, he changed and now looked presentable.
"Thank you," Neraxis expressed to the woman before taking his leave, the grumpy Kael trailing behind him.
The two walked through the halls, which were still empty, only a few instructors walking around who paid no attention to them.
But one thing caught his eye on the way back—a wide glass window off to the side. Through it, he could see a massive room that looked similar to the training room they had been in.
However, the contents inside were a little different. In the very middle stood a hologram, slowly moving side to side.
Before he could investigate further, the hologram’s eyes locked onto him, and in the very next moment, the window tinted to the point where he could no longer see through it.
What was that?
[Battle Simulation Chamber? I think,] Evangeline commented.
Oh? That piqued his interest. Does that mean I could fight anyone I want in that room?
[Not really. There are probably some preset opponents already there—or simply monsters instead. There was a device like that back in my world as well.]
Interesting… Neraxis noted it down in his mind to check it out later as he finally arrived at the classroom, and without waiting further, went inside.
It seemed like the alchemy lesson was finishing up, as except for a few groups, most were idly sitting back in their seats.
They also returned to their seats, and Neraxis decided it was time to bring up the spar.
"Seems like I won," he whispered jokingly.
To his surprise, Kael took it better than he expected. "You won two, I lost two. Don’t worry, our future spars will turn out much differently."
"If you say so," Neraxis replied with a shrug before looking out of the window in a bored manner.
After roughly 10 minutes, the entire alchemy lesson was over, and Liora swiftly departed, not showing any more favoritism.
However, since the lesson took longer than anticipated, they had no break. Magnus strode back into class with a document in his hands.
Walking up to the podium, he spoke, "I am sure you are all curious about the results of your outing. Therefore, I will reveal them right away."

"The team which performed the best was Team 4. Coming in second place is Team 1," he said and wrote the teams down on the blackboard.
"Third place was Team 3. And lastly, Team 5—you did not do so great."
Magnus’s voice sounded a bit disappointed as he finished, but it was not all over.
In the end, there was one more team left.
"As for Team 2, you were disqualified."
Fair enough, I guess? Neraxis tilted his head, unsure of why Magnus was making it so dramatic.
But he soon found out.
"However, due to the recounts of the situation, their final evaluation came out much higher than the rest of the teams." Magnus paused before continuing.
"That is why they will be getting a separate award from the team that came in first."
As his words fell, the classroom fell silent, with everyone glancing at Neraxis and the rest of his teammates.
No one protested. After all, this was the special class, and they had indeed achieved an unbelievable accomplishment.
Obviously, they wouldn’t be praised in the auditorium, as that would just further tarnish the academy’s name.
In the end, it was a massive oversight on their part and could have led to four casualties.
"I would like to personally speak to the captains of Team 2 and Team 4. Neraxis and Kael, step forward. The others—a 10-minute break," Magnus announced. The students quickly spread out into the hallway, flashing confused looks.
However, Neraxis too had a puzzled look.
Since when am I the captain? He turned to look at his leaving teammates, who merely flashed him smirks as they disappeared from his vision.
Now, only he, Kael, and Magnus were left.
"Your rewards are similar, but a tad bit different." Magnus began fiddling with something in his pocket before pulling out two metal cards.
One was silver, the other golden.
Without waiting further, he handed the golden one to Neraxis and the silver to Kael.
Noticing their puzzled looks, he began to explain.
"This is an access card to anything on the first floor of the academy—its facilities and all. The silver card has the same amount of access as the golden version, but it has a time limit for facility usage, whereas the golden one does not."
Neraxis nodded with satisfaction, thinking it was a pretty good reward.
But it seemed like it was not over.
"I was instructed to give the two of you personal rewards for your great contribution." Magnus revealed, flipping over the document he was holding and showing them its contents.
Kael tilted his head in confusion, not understanding what it was.
However, that was not the case for Neraxis. He simply stood frozen in shock.
Is that…?
