Chapter 384: Attaching System

"Hi?" Zeri muttered, staring at Neraxis with a puzzled look. "You’re that angel I saw a moment ago... is this heaven?"

"No," Neraxis replied flatly. "It’s your bedroom, and you’re not dead. I came here to save you, you could say."

"Hmm...?" Zeri tilted her head. "What did you say your name was again?"

"I didn’t." Neraxis chuckled, meeting her gaze. "My name’s Neraxis. You might’ve seen me on television a few times in the past. You might also know me because of the universal bounty that was put on my life."

Her eyes widened. "Yep... that definitely rings a bell."

She let out a sigh. "But seriously... why did Celina get involved with someone so handsome? She’s going to make our bloodline transcend by leaps and bounds."

"..." Neraxis didn’t entertain her comment at all as he heaved a patient breath, stood up, walked beside her, and placed a finger on her forehead.

In the very next moment, her slightly disheveled clothes vanished, replaced by a nice pair of golden robes that fit her perfectly.

It was just one of the many usages of his Void skill.

Anyhow, she glanced around, almost as if she finally snapped out of her earlier reverie.

And that was when her memories began returning, causing her to vomit all over her bedsheets.

"I-I died?" she mumbled. "No, wait... this seems real. Are you real?"

"I’m very real," Neraxis replied plainly. "And so are you. I turned back time and gave you some special abilities. I don’t think there should be any problems with your health, though do let me know if there is anything."

When he finally finished speaking, he felt a familiar presence walk inside the house, then rush toward the room where the two sat.

It was none other than William, and he wore a shocked, yet relieved expression on his face.

He ran up to Zeri and hugged her.

Noticing that the atmosphere was starting to get all warm and fuzzy, Neraxis silently took his leave.

But not before stopping beside the doorframe and addressing one thing in particular.

"Call Celina. FaceTime her. Also, it’s up to you where you want your daughter to be. Though know that the mountain house always has room for more," Neraxis said, and with a mere thought, he vanished.

A few seconds later, he reappeared on the same sofa as earlier, yet the atmosphere was much darker than before.

Most didn’t even realize he was back, as they were trying their best to comfort Celina.

And that was when Celina’s phone rang.

She hurriedly went over and picked it up. Immediately, the face of Zeri appeared, followed by William waving from the side.

They began to chat, and in the meantime, Neraxis proceeded to simply snuggle closer to Evangeline and lie down on her thighs.

She looked down at him with a warm smile as she brushed her fingers across his hair.

"Have you decided yet?" she asked. "About when we’re going to try for you-know-what."

Neraxis’s gaze steeled. "Have the other Sovereigns been here?" freewebnσvel.cøm

She sighed. "They have. They were very vocal about finding you and threatened to kill your family and others. Though after Violet charmed them, they kindly pissed off... temporarily."

"It’s fine. Did you manage to get a trace on them?" Neraxis asked flatly.

Evangeline’s smirk widened as she puffed her chest.

"Just who do you think I am? Of course I managed to tag them before they left," Evangeline replied and extended her hand, to which he accepted.

Immediately, a strange holographic blood interface appeared in front of him, flashing strange images.

But with each passing moment, those images displayed a location.

It was basically a ping, and it showed the surroundings and other things Neraxis could use to teleport there.

"Which one is this?" Neraxis asked.

"Envy, I think," Evangeline replied, double-checking. "Never mind, it’s Greed. They’re pretty much identical, so it doesn’t really matter. Since you managed to deal with Wrath, then you’re probably strong enough to deal with them too, right?"

"Maybe..." Neraxis muttered. "I can’t be too sure since it did take me a few centuries to beat Wrath, then come back."

He met her eyes. "On that note, do you want my system?"

<Huh? You’re going to give it to another powerhouse? Do you not understand how it works?> Raguel asked with a pout. <You give me to the weaker people, so they can grow stronger. When they grow stronger, you get a portion of their boons.>

So what’s wrong with giving someone strong my system?

<It takes longer for them to improve their strength. It’s not very beneficial,> Raguel replied. <Basically, if you gave 10,000 people your system, and each one of them were mages... then maybe after 10 years, you’d gain mana equivalent to one of your World Cores.>

With that logic, if he were to give it to millions and billions of people, then his strength would soar far and wide.

Even so, he wanted to give his system to everyone present.

After all, them being under Lagus’s influence wasn’t exactly something he liked seeing.

He and Evangeline chatted for a few moments longer, and he finally decided to try giving his system to somebody.

And that somebody was none other than Evangeline.

Since they were still in the living room, they talked inside their minds and made sure to not cause a ruckus.

[I’m standing still. What now?] Evangeline asked, extending her hands in a T-pose.

Raguel snorted. <Woman, you should just sit down and wait. I only need Neraxis to confirm something, and then you’ll get it.>

With those words, an interface appeared in front of Neraxis’s face.

It was simple and pretty straightforward.

<Would you like to share the Sentient System: Raguel with everyone in the vicinity? Yes/No>

<Notice: Your system is powerful enough to override the Simple systems made by Lagus Destine.>

It had pretty nice functions, but even so, he took a deep breath and pressed Yes.

Immediately, it felt like a part of him separated, then traveled into everyone present.

And after just a few moments...

<Ding!>

<Your Sentient System: Raguel has bound itself to multiple hosts!><Sentient System: Raguel is awaiting mutual agreement...>
