The SSS Ranked Villain's Return-Chapter 382: Awkward Return
Chapter 382: Awkward Return
He took a deep breath as he took the fancy steps up the mountain.
By the ice craftsmanship, he knew Seraphina was responsible for this handiwork.
After all, who else could make ice non-slippery?
He slowly ascended, all the while hiding his presence, not wanting to be felt just yet.
And after a few more minutes, Neraxis finally made it to the middle where everyone was gathered.
There was a door blocking him from the girls, so after a few moments of procrastinating, he knocked on the door.
Through the small peephole, he saw Aella approach, then swing open the door with a wary look.
And once their eyes met, she tilted her head.
"Are you lost?" Aella asked flatly. "Because I’m pretty sure the closest hotel is at least 50 kilometers that way."
Hearing that, Neraxis stood frozen in place.
But not even a moment later, a smile appeared on Aella’s face as she let out a laugh.
"Pfft... hahaha, sorry..." She wiped the tears that had formed in her eyes. "Welcome back, Neraxis."
She ran up to him and hugged him tightly.
All the while, he stood, stunned.
<Wow... that sucks,> Raguel remarked. <Ever thought of punishing this woman?>
...No, Neraxis replied, dazed.
It was strange seeing her like this.
For that matter, it was strange seeing any of the girls here.
For him, 500 years had passed. For them, only 2 years.
Yet in those 500 years, he hadn’t aged a bit, and the girls did.
Aella’s chest was much larger than before, and her face was more womanly.
The same applied to the others as well.
After a few minutes of the awkward hugging, the two stepped inside.
Aella led him over to the couch and sat him down. ƒгeewebnovёl_com
And soon, everyone gathered around, staring at him with a mix of expressions.
But most importantly, Evangeline stepped up, leaned in, and kissed him on the lips in front of everyone.
Immediately, the connection that had grown faint restored itself, and with it, Evangeline fell into his arms.
He didn’t say a word, yet a slight smile crept up on his face.
It was a nice feeling, but he also felt way too out of place. It was almost like he didn’t belong here.
He had grown stronger. He had even become a Celestial of sorts.
And these girls were all the same—some haven’t even reached S- rank yet.
It was...
Underwhelming, Neraxis thought, maintaining his calm expression as he addressed everyone present.
"Hey Celina... I see you’ve grown a bit stronger. At least, that’s what I saw from up above," Neraxis said with a smile.
"From up above?" Celina tilted her head innocently. "Evangeline did mention you were fighting in space, so were you stalking me while you were there?"
His eyes widened. "Stalking? Wha—"
"I’m just kidding." Celina giggled. "It’s nice to have you back, Neraxis... I just wished we could’ve spent more time together. These past few years were a bit of a bore..."
She sighed. "My grandpa came over a few times. He even brought Mom over... she still can’t walk, and somehow she lost her voice... I might need to take a few days to... you know? Prepare..."
Neraxis’s brows twitched. "Can you call William?"
As she was about to answer, he flicked the air, cracking it.
The girls recoiled in surprise. But in the very next moment, a figure flew out from the crack, and it was none other than the startled William.
But once he realized where he was, his confusion only grew further.
"What just happened...?" William turned toward Neraxis. "You’re back? Did you do this?"
"I might’ve," Neraxis said with a shrug. "Can you bring your daughter over? I want to test something."
"She’s not a test toy," William replied with a scowl. "Are you trying to get revenge because I teleported you so many times? Look... I didn’t mean it in a bad way, just don’t bring my daughter or Celina into this."
"He’s so lost," Evangeline muttered with a sigh. "Look old man, you’re not being killed, kidnapped, or whatever kinky stuff you’re thinking of. Neraxis only wants to help, and make your daughter walk and talk again. Is that too much to ask?"
William’s eyes widened. "You... what?"
"Neraxis?" Celina tugged at his sleeve. "What are you doing?"
Neraxis rolled his eyes. "I’m sure you all probably figured out that I’m a vampire, right? Basically, I’m a pretty strong vampire, so I can make miracles happen and all that."
"Miracles that you don’t even grant, bastard," Eris snickered from the side. "I asked you to give me that power so long ago, but you refused. And now you’re just handing it over to anybody?"
His brows furrowed. "Watch your words, Eris. And I’m not giving it to just anybody, I’m giving it to Celina’s mother, a person who, without my help, is going to die. So tell me, who is more important..."
Neraxis trailed off as he walked closer, stopping right in front of her.
"You? Or Celina’s dying mother?"
Eris’s expression twisted as she glanced down, clenching her fists.
It wasn’t out of anger, but more like disappointment in what she had said.
After all, these girls had definitely grown close, and by now, they were likely the bestest of friends.
He stared at her for a few more moments, then turned his gaze over to William, who seemed like he had finally made a decision.
"I will bring her... I will bring Zeri," William said with a dedicated look as he closed his eyes, focusing.
However, his eyes suddenly shot open as his expression turned dazed.
He glanced past Neraxis, and at the ceiling, almost like he had just lost his soul.
Celina didn’t seem to clock what happened yet, but most of the people present, including Neraxis, did.
Her mother had died.
But...
I was able to turn back time when I was SSS ranked. This isn’t any different, Neraxis thought with a complex look as he walked up to William and grabbed him by the collar.
Then, he swiftly teleported the two of them back to the previous continent.
Neraxis glanced down at William, then slapped him across the face.
"Snap out of it. Show me where she is. Now."
