The Soft-Hearted Wife of Mr. Big Shot-Chapter 61: Two Choices
"Can’t understand? You can try."
Holly’s grip on the cup was quite tight, a cold smile appeared on her lips.
Hmph, those who provoke her never have a good ending.
She lowered her head to glance at her phone, estimating that the time should be about right.
"Brother."
Leo appeared at the entrance of the coffee shop, Holly stood up, and called sweetly.
Jasper was momentarily stunned, Holly’s tone was so different from just now that if he hadn’t seen it, he wouldn’t have believed it.
When speaking to him, Holly’s tone was indifferent and icy. Now, this call of ’brother’ was sickeningly sweet.
"So, you want to invite your brother for coffee?"
Leo stepped towards Holly, slightly curling his lips into a gentle smile.
It was lunchtime, he had just finished a morning’s work and was planning to have lunch when he received Holly’s message.
Holly asked if he had time to come over; of course, he did - for Holly, he always had time, so he came.
"Want to invite brother for lunch."
Holly playfully blinked at Leo, her voice sweet.
She knew it was lunchtime; she just wanted to use Leo’s identity, that’s all.
"Alright."
Leo chuckled, naturally ruffling Holly’s hair, his smile full of gentleness.
Bella looked stunned.
Whoa, her boss was just too adorable now, right? She suddenly wanted to ruffle Holly’s hair but didn’t dare to, whining softly.
Leo’s appearance shocked Jasper, he didn’t expect Holly to actually know Leo, and their relationship to be so good.
"So what does brother want to eat?"
Holly asked with a smile, blinking her eyes.
"What does Holly want to eat? Whatever Holly eats, brother eats too; brother’s not picky."
Leo’s gaze was warm, focused only on Holly, all his tenderness concentrated on her.
"Alright, shall we go have steak?"
Holly blinked innocently, lightly biting her lip, pondering for a moment before speaking.
Hmm, she hadn’t had steak in quite a while, and now suddenly craved it.
Leo: "Okay."
"Becky, I’m off. Let’s talk later."
Holly greeted Bella and then left with Leo.
Bella watched Holly and Leo leave, still stunned over their relationship dynamics, seriously...
Previously, Diana Curtis had told her that Holly and Leo’s relationship was very much like that of a couple, and she had scoffed at it, but now it indeed seemed quite similar.
"Diana Curtis and the Grant Group internship opportunity, you choose yourself."
Bella crossed her arms, slowly spoke, raising her eyebrows.
Hmm, if Jasper previously didn’t believe it, now he definitely couldn’t not believe it; the facts were right in front of him.
Holly and Leo’s relationship was genuinely good; he needed to weigh his position.
"So, what do I need to do?"
Jasper’s tone was still gentle, but his grip on the cup was tight, seemingly struggling with something.
"Make Diana Curtis give up."
Bella said.
Jasper looked up at Bella, "Can’t I switch to another choice?"
"Then, be with her, always be good to her, never let her down."
Bella tilted her head, speaking slowly, her tone indifferent.
There has to be a choice; she hopes Diana Curtis can live well, and not chase someone without any response.
Two choices.
Jasper fell into thought, his gaze looking outside the window, his expression flickering.
These two choices were hard for him; Diana Curtis’s family conditions were good, over the years she had helped him get rid of obstacles.
So, his attitude towards Diana Curtis had always been neither rejecting nor responding, giving a glimpse of hope when necessary.
He doesn’t want to lose the connection with Diana Curtis.
But he doesn’t like Diana Curtis; being with her he can manage but always being good and not disappointing her is something he can’t do.
Because in the future he will meet someone he truly likes.
Two simple choices, yet for Jasper it’s especially challenging.
"Such a simple choice, why make it seem like a century-old dilemma?"
Bella raised her eyebrows, a sarcastic smile on her lips, looking at Jasper with displeasure.
Yes, the choices before Jasper are quite simple, but he has selfish motives, hence the dilemma.
Hmph, indeed outwardly refined, but inwardly...
"Future and Diana Curtis, you choose. I have matters, won’t talk much, I’m off."
Bella said and then prepared to leave, not wanting to say more, leaving the choice to Jasper.
Holly isn’t so heartless as to leave Jasper no way out without reason.
——
"Why suddenly want steak?"
Leo and Holly sat in the western restaurant, Leo cutting steak for Holly, looked at her.
Holly usually eats Chinese cuisine and always thinks about it, he hasn’t seen her want to eat western food.
"Hmm, just felt like it."
Holly blinked her eyes.
No real reason, she might suddenly like something, and suddenly crave something.
She’s always a doer, if she wants to eat, she’ll eat promptly without delay.
"Alright, it’s cut."
Leo pushed the cut steak in front of Holly, a smile on his lips.
The little girl wants to eat, so he’ll accompany her. For him, what they eat isn’t important, what’s important is eating together.
"Thank you, brother."
Holly smiled sweetly, looking at the cut steak, feeling warm inside.
"Having a gathering with friends today?"
Leo asked, as he hadn’t met Bella and Jasper yet, moreover Jasper is a guy.
"No, just went with my friend."
Holly blinked innocently, denying knowing Jasper, just saying she went with Bella.
As for what they did, she’d let Leo imagine.
"I see."
"Why didn’t Holly have lunch with them?"
Leo poured a glass of red wine and pushed it to Holly.
Steak with red wine actually pairs quite well.
"I prefer having meals with brother."
Holly blinked innocently, and drank a large sip of red wine.
She used Leo a little but couldn’t admit it.
"Drink less, you’ll get drunk."
Leo looked at Holly warmly, warning her that red wine is still alcohol and could make her drunk, still unsure of Holly’s alcohol tolerance.
