Chapter 53: Chapter 53: As Long as the Girl Is Happy

Ever since Nancy Miller discovered that Holly Sawyer was her half-sister, she had been particularly clingy with Holly.

"Stop looking at your phone while eating."

Leo Grant watched Holly eating and giggling at her phone, and he couldn’t help but tap the table and say.

The young girl was particularly fond of food; usually nothing was more important than food. Her watching the phone while eating was quite unusual.

"Hmm, okay."

Holly nodded and obediently put her phone down.

Nancy shared some interesting stories with her, and she couldn’t help but smile as she read them.

"What are you smiling about?"

Leo asked Holly gently as he watched her.

"Chatting with a friend."

Holly blinked and softly replied.

She couldn’t tell Leo that Nancy was her sister yet.

She claimed she had amnesia, and although Leo knew she hadn’t really lost her memory, she couldn’t contradict herself.

"Brother, look at this company, it’s so pitiful. Can we help them?"

After finishing her meal, Holly looked at the news on her phone and suddenly leaned over to Leo, looking at him eagerly.

Leo glanced at the news. To him, the company was insignificant with no benefits involved.

"Brother, they’re so pitiful."

Holly blinked, speaking softly and with a hint of grievance.

Hmm, quite pitiful indeed.

"Alright."

Leo patted the young girl’s head gently and agreed softly.

How could he refuse her request?

And so, Noah Raines called angrily, "Leo, what are you doing?"

"Just a bit of aid."

Leo’s tone was particularly calm.

On the other end, Noah Raines was speechless: "..."

Since when did Leo have such a kind heart?

"Have you even heard of them? I know you have plenty of money, but isn’t it unnecessary? I don’t remember you being a philanthropist known for aiding struggling companies."

Noah, like a nagging mother, began to reason with Leo, pointing out his flaws.

This task for Noah came as a shock when he was notified.

What the heck?

Leo wanted to acquire a company with no notoriety whatsoever?

"The young girl felt sorry for them."

Leo paused for a moment and then spoke slowly, his voice filled with tenderness when mentioning Holly.

The girl wanted him to help the company, so he would; after all, it was just a matter of money.

Problems solvable with money weren’t major issues, especially if it brought happiness to the girl.

Noah Raines: "..."

It’s all for the girl, clearly prioritizing romance over friendship, yet he stubbornly refuses to admit it.

"Leo, you’ve fallen for it."

Noah hung up after that, looking quite exasperated.

Falling for it is one thing, but refusing to admit it is truly infuriating.

His friend had no sense of awareness, and that year-long relationship seemed to be pointless.

Leo, having his call with Noah hung up, was genuinely confused.

This seemed to be a first with Noah.

Holly sat on the sofa eating chips and watching TV. Her hearing was sharp enough to catch everything Leo said.

Leo really was good to her.

He wasn’t as cold as others said; in fact, he was gentle and treated her well, almost like a real brother.

"Alright, I’ll handle this."

Leo put his phone in his pocket and approached Holly, gently patting her head. His voice was soft.

"Thank you, brother."

Holly grinned, her smile sweet, like a child satisfied with candy.

The young girl was so easily contented.

——

When Nancy walked into Leo’s villa, she couldn’t believe it.

Leo and Holly...

Leo, who was always so cold.

She grew up in Bexley, and Leo’s rumors had spread since five years ago; even without paying special attention, she knew bits and pieces.

"Sister, you and Leo..."

As Nancy sat on the sofa, she still couldn’t believe it.

She had actually appeared in Leo’s house.

If she loved showing off and had many friends, this would be a story she’d boast about for a long time.

"He feels like a brother to me."

Holly smiled, the corners of her mouth slightly curved.

In her heart, she always saw Leo as a brother; his care for her felt like that of a big brother.

Nancy: "..."

Like a brother?

She wasn’t so sure about that.

"Sister, I want to know why you came back?"

Nancy also knew that Holly didn’t care about her father, Miles Miller, but she was curious about why Holly chose to return.

Why did she want to meet Miles Miller?

There were rumors that Leo had found an amnesiac little fairy and treated her with utmost care, and now Nancy knew this person was Holly.

Nancy also knew that Holly hadn’t actually lost her memory.

"For the Miller Group."

Holly poured Nancy a cup of hot milk, sitting across from her, speaking slowly.

She didn’t value the Miller Group, but she couldn’t just let it go.

The Miller Group was previously the Sawyer Group, a legacy from her grandfather to her mother that she had to reclaim.

"For the inheritance?"

Nancy asked, looking at Holly with a puzzled expression.

She never thought about having inheritance rights and didn’t care about such things.

Holly shook her head: "No."

She didn’t think much of the Miller Group.

She simply wanted to reclaim it and change the name, wanting Miles Miller to willingly restore the family’s name.

Nancy was confused: "Then what is it?"

"It’s what my grandfather left for my mother. My mom might not care, and I might not think much of it, but I have to take it back."

Holly spoke slowly, her expression serious.

Nancy: "Oh."

She couldn’t quite pinpoint her feelings at that moment.

The things she currently had were actually all Holly’s, and she didn’t know what Holly’s life was like after leaving Bexley, whether it was good or not.

She didn’t dare to ask, hoping that if Holly was doing well, that would be best; if not, she would feel extremely guilty.

"It’s just about changing the family name, the inheritance is yours."

Holly reached out and held Nancy’s hand, slightly curving her lips into a gentle smile.

It was just about changing a name; she didn’t plan to change anything else, even allowing Miles Miller to continue running the company.

With blood ties, Miles was her biological father, and she had to leave him a way out.
