Chapter 251: Chapter 251: Blue Tie

At noon, Holly and Leo went out, and the street was bustling as usual.

Holly held Leo’s hand, strolling through the mall, where the goods were dazzlingly displayed.

"Your grandpa loves tea. I happen to have a good tea set."

After making the rounds, Holly didn’t find anything she fancied. Suddenly, she thought of something, patted the back of her head, and had an expression of sudden realization.

Oh, how did she not think of it earlier?

"No need, just buy something casual. The old man will be happy, even if you go empty-handed, he wouldn’t mind."

Leo wrapped his arm around Holly’s shoulders and spoke gently, his voice unexpectedly warm.

Elder Grant was just looking forward to their visit. As long as they showed up, gifts were secondary.

"No, I’ll have it sent over."

Holly insisted on sending it and quickly made a call, explaining it clearly in a few words.

"Brother, I’ll buy you a tie."

Spring had arrived, and the weather wasn’t too cold. Leo wore a suit jacket but no tie. Holly’s gaze lingered on Leo’s chest before she pulled him into a clothing store.

The sales clerk enthusiastically introduced their products, but Holly shook her head, saying she wanted to choose on her own.

She liked to browse by herself and didn’t like others recommending things to her. When someone tagged along recommending stuff, she liked it even less.

She might initially like a piece of clothing very much, but if the sales clerk kept recommending it, she’d immediately dislike it.

A peculiar psychological reaction.

"Miss, this piece looks great and is our best-seller. It would suit this gentleman well."

The sales clerk continued introducing with enthusiasm, smiling as if unaware of Holly’s displeasure.

"Let’s go."

Holly’s brows creased with displeasure as she pulled Leo to leave the store.

The sales clerk stared dumbfounded at Holly, who suddenly left.

Leo was a bit puzzled and didn’t quite understand Holly’s sudden action.

Some of the girl’s behaviors were strange, which Leo didn’t quite get.

"What’s wrong?"

Leo asked softly.

"I like to look myself, I don’t like others recommending things to me."

Holly gently bit her lip and spoke slowly, her voice surprisingly earnest.

The more others recommended, the less she liked it.

"Alright, I understand."

Leo gently ruffled Holly’s hair, his voice indulgent and tender.

Holly led Leo into another clothing store. When the sales clerk approached, Holly said she wanted to look herself, and the clerk stayed silent.

Holly was extremely satisfied, pulling Leo through the tie section.

"I want to buy you a unique one."

Holly’s eyes brimmed with laughter, her cheerful gaze settling on Leo’s face.

Leo’s ties were indeed particularly monotonous, either white or black, just alternating between those two colors, which was very plain.

"Whatever you buy, I will like."

Leo nodded slightly, speaking softly.

Regardless of what kind of tie Holly bought, he would like it because Holly bought it for him.

As long as Holly bought it, he would like it.

"This one looks nice."

Holly’s gaze lingered among rows of ties and finally settled on a cobalt blue one.

It was a beautiful color, very vibrant, which Holly really liked.

"You can try it on."

The sales clerk noticed the movement and reminded them.

Holly nodded.

"Let me put it on for you."

Holly slightly tiptoed, while Leo bent his waist slightly. Holly, a bit clumsily, put the tie on Leo.

She wasn’t very skilled.

"There."

After a while, Holly gently clapped her hands, pleased with her handiwork, nodding in satisfaction.

It looked quite nice; the blue accentuated Leo, making him look a bit less aloof, and more composed.

"Looks good."

Holly’s eyes curved into a smile, particularly satisfied with her choice of tie.

"Holly’s taste is really excellent."

Leo slightly curled his lips, feeling happy seeing the smile on Holly’s face.

One had to admit, the tie Holly picked looked very nice.

"Naturally."

Holly’s eyes were curved in a smile.

Holly went to the counter to pay, but Leo had already prepared his card.

"I bought it for you, so of course, I should use my own money."

Holly stopped Leo’s action, pulling out her card from her pocket.

When giving someone a gift, of course, it should be bought with one’s own money. Using someone else’s money to buy someone else a gift wasn’t right at all.

"Okay."

Leo responded and put his card away.

Alright, it was something Holly bought for him.

The cashier put the tie in a box and handed it to Holly.

"You two seem to have a great relationship."

She couldn’t help but praise them, and the pairing of a handsome man and a beautiful woman was indeed pleasing to the eye.

Holly thanked her. "Thank you."

Taking all the compliments about her and Leo’s relationship to heart.

She loved it when people praised her relationship with Leo; it was really something that made her happy.

"I’ll put it on you right away; you didn’t wear a tie today."

Holly looked at Leo’s bare neck, slightly curling her lips as she took the tie from the bag, removed the tag, and stood on tiptoe to put the tie on Leo.

It felt nice to put it on directly.

Leo didn’t say anything, bent slightly to let Holly put the tie on him.

"We’ll buy some New Year’s goods and then head to the old house."

Leo glanced at the time, speaking slowly.

Holly nodded. "Alright."

"Holly, Leo."

Hand in hand, the two walked out of the mall, only to encounter someone walking towards them. Rosalie Jennings’ eyes widened slightly as she looked at Leo and Holly holding hands in front of her, filled with disbelief.

Rosalie never imagined she would run into Leo and Holly at a mall in Arkenfall.

Even though she grew up in Bexley and her family was there, she had relatives in Arkenfall and was just visiting and spending the New Year there.

Seeing Rosalie, Holly’s gaze turned cold.

An ex-girlfriend and a current one.

Even though the ex-girlfriend held no weight, not even being an essential presence, Holly still felt somewhat annoyed.

"You... "

Watching the two holding hands, Rosalie’s nails dug tightly into her palms.

Their relationship was still so good, yet Holly was just an unknown little girl.

"We’re busy, please step aside, thank you."

Holly maintained a smile on her lips and smiled lightly.

Hmm, she had a pretty good mood originally, but now she felt her mood wasn’t that good anymore.

"Leo, are you not planning to return to Bexley after coming back to Arkenfall?"

Rosalie didn’t quite understand Leo’s background and only knew it wasn’t simple, and that his family originally lived in Arkenfall.
