The Soft-Hearted Wife of Mr. Big Shot-Chapter 124: Want to Take a Series of Photos
Inside the mutton hotpot restaurant, even though the heater was on, Holly still felt cold. She was wrapped up warmly and had a scarf around her neck.
Being too afraid of the cold isn’t a good thing; whenever the weather turns chilly, she doesn’t feel like moving.
Holly is usually lively, but when it’s cold, she becomes sluggish.
"Is it that cold?"
Leo reached out to hold Holly’s hand, her hand was icy cold, and he gripped it tightly.
The young girl wore a lot of clothes, yet her hands were still cold. Seeing her rosy red face from the chill, Leo felt a pang of heartache.
"Cold."
Holly blinked, thinking that she really is suited for hibernation in winter.
Snakes hibernate in winter, so why don’t humans? Holly had asked herself this question more than once, thinking it’s too cold in winter to be active.
"You sit here first, I’ll go get you some milk tea."
The mutton in the pot was still simmering and not fully cooked. Leo glanced out the window and said slowly.
This street was lined with hotpot and barbecue restaurants, but drink shops were rare. Conveniently, there was a Serenitea shop across the street.
"Okay."
Holly nodded, her eyes fixating on the milk tea shop across, her eyebrows curved pleasantly.
She wanted to drink milk tea, but the weather was too cold, making her reluctant to move.
Hmm, Holly thought she shouldn’t live in winter; it’s too difficult, she didn’t want to move at all, just preferred to stay cozy and warm.
"Miss, may I take a few photos of you?"
As soon as Leo left, two student-looking girls approached shyly, and one of them had a camera in hand.
Holly: "..."
Holly blinked, looking quizzically at the two young girls in front of her.
Why do they want to take her picture?
"We are from a photography club, and our club activity requires us to take a set of photos. We think you’re really beautiful."
Another girl blinked, speaking a bit bashfully.
The theme they drew was "Love." They had hesitated for a long time, yet had not found suitable subjects.
By chance, they came here to eat and saw Holly and Leo, whose looks were high and appeared sweet together.
"What kind of photos?"
Holly asked with interest.
These two girls seemed to be of high school age.
"About love."
The girl blinked naively.
"Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Claire Miller, and she’s Anna Bennett. We’re students at Crestview Middle School, in our second year."
The ponytailed girl with the camera introduced herself, while the girl behind her had short hair.
"Do you girls understand what love is?"
Holly suddenly smiled, looking at Claire and Anna with curiosity.
"We just think you and your brother are very sweet. The way he looks at you is full of affection and tenderness."
Anna looked at Holly, speaking seriously and deliberately.
They say those in love can’t see themselves clearly, but bystanders can see more. Anyway, it was clear to them that Leo’s eyes were full of Holly.
They might not understand love, but it was evident to them that the feelings between Holly and Leo were good.
Holly smiled lightly, "Is that so?"
Claire and Anna nodded.
It indeed was.
"Can we take the photos after we finish lunch?"
The pot continued to bubble, and Holly picked up a piece of mutton with a spoon, speaking slowly.
The meat was cooked, and she was starving.
"Okay."
The two girls nodded, looking delighted.
"Would you like to join us?"
Holly served Leo a bowl of soup, then looked at Claire and Anna, speaking softly and gently.
"No, thank you."
The two girls shook their heads repeatedly, looking firmly against it. They were already eating at the restaurant, and even if they weren’t, they would refuse; consuming dog food isn’t pleasant.
"Thank you, sister. We’ll come back later."
The girls bid farewell to Holly and then sat at a table not far away.
Holly slightly curled her lips and added another piece of mutton to Leo’s bowl.
"Look, milk tea, hot."
Leo returned quickly, bringing with him a chill, while holding the steaming milk tea.
He inserted the straw, handed the milk tea to Holly.
Holly took the milk tea; the warmth in her hands was just right. After a sip, her stomach felt a lot warmer.
"Brother, have a sip too."
Holly offered the straw to Leo with a sweet smile.
"Very sweet, but not as sweet as Holly."
Leo took a sip and spoke gently, a smile spread across his face.
The milk tea was sweet, but he found Holly even sweeter.
"Brother, did you learn cheesy pickup lines?"
Holly blinked, resting her chin on her hand as she looked at Leo, her voice steady and unhurried.
Hmm, Leo really knew how to talk; she felt a little shy.
"No, there are things I wouldn’t say before, but ever since I met you, they just slip out naturally."
Leo picked more meat for Holly, diligently removing the bones.
The meat was cooked soft, making it simple to debone.
"Hmm."
Holly looked at Leo without speaking.
"Have some soup to warm up your body."
With Holly’s bowl empty of soup, Leo filled it up again, his voice tender with indulgence.
Drinking some mutton soup helps drive away the cold, so it doesn’t feel as chilly.
The little girl already found it cold in Bexley in winter; she’d probably feel even colder in Arkenfall.
Leo contemplated whether they should find a place with a mild climate year-round to settle down together.
Holly feared the cold, and living in a place where it’s spring all year might be perfect, so she wouldn’t have to fear the cold anymore.
"Brother, I have something to tell you."
Holly’s mouth was full, she mumbled, fearing she’d forget while eating.
Leo nodded, "Okay."
"Do you want to take photos?"
Holly rested her chin on her hand, looking at Leo as she blinked softly.
"Should we take them together?"
Leo asked.
If it was together, he was more than willing. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
Holly nodded and then slowly explained Claire and Anna’s situation.
Leo nodded, more than willing, turning his head towards the two girls’ table; the girls’ faces were flushed, waving and greeting Leo.
Adolescent girls have a natural curiosity during their school years. Seeing someone attractive or handsome inevitably made them blush and shy.
Leo’s good looks were unquestionable; Claire and Anna blushing under his gaze was normal.
"Brother, you can object."
Holly noticed how agreeable Leo was, gently blinking as she spoke slowly.
No matter what she said, Leo never objected. While it made her happy, it also felt like he was constantly accommodating her.
