Chapter 1062: Short Interrogation

Alicia was astonished that Aldrian knew her origin. That was something only a few should know, and all of them were devils. Even in this place, there was no one who knew she came from the higher heavens, not even the succubi here.

There should have been no information about her leaking anywhere that could reach him, so how?

Alicia would never know that even if no one told Aldrian, he would still learn the truth when he checked her information using the system. He could see her real cultivation, which was sealed.

"How...?" Alicia wanted to ask how Aldrian knew her origin, but Aldrian already continued.

"You came from the higher heavens, and there is something I would like to know from you. You had better answer me truthfully." From her current chaotic emotion, he felt that he did not need to use torture.

The fear gripping her heart and her clear expression were enough to make her answer all of his questions.

"What is it?" Alicia asked with a trembling voice.

"Do you know what happened to the succubus race of this universe? The one with the surname Lustvelle?" Aldrian asked. He couldn’t help remembering them after seeing Selis and her group.

His question once again surprised Alicia.

How could he know about one of the succubus clans that only existed in the higher heavens?

Did he also come from the higher heavens? But how could that be?

Is he really a god, just like her ridiculous thought suggested?

And what is his connection to that succubus clan? She hesitated to answer because depending on his relationship with that clan, her truthful answer might make him furious.

Aldrian’s blue eyes kept looking into Alicia’s eyes as he sensed her hesitation, and he stepped on her chest, making her chest feel heavy.

He slowly increased the pressure, and his gaze never left her eyes.

She finally could not hold it anymore when Aldrian’s gaze once again reminded her of that sensation filled with terror. She truly wanted to die rather than experience that feeling again, but she knew that the man in front of her would not give her a peaceful death.

"I... I don’t know about their fate in the higher heavens beyond the second heaven, but, but in the second heaven, they... they already lost the battle," Alicia replied. She hesitated once more, which made him press her chest harder.

She continued. "Th... they became slaves for a family called the Rimevas family. They were still alive as far as I knew before I descended to the first heaven."

There was a moment of silence.

Aldrian’s eyes remained calm, but he was truly angry inside. Lustvelle, the name that became the identity of the first succubus in existence, was someone he had already met in his past life. The name was later used as one of the succubus clans.

Before becoming a succubus, she was actually a normal human. However, she found her own way to grow stronger by creating a cultivation method based on the feeling of lust. That cultivation method made her abandon her human race and become part of the demon race.

She had a male partner who cultivated the same principle, which caused him to become an incubus.

Aldrian, who was always curious about everything, observed how they grew and met them several times. Just like many others, the moment they learned what kind of existence he was, they prostrated themselves in worship before him.

Although there were no special moments between them and him like those he shared with some of his closest followers, the fact that they worshipped him and became his followers was enough for him to take notice of their clans.

"Then what happened to the incubus with the surname Ferelis?" Aldrian asked.

"They... they also had the same fate. They already lost and became slaves of the same family," Alicia answered.

Aldrian did not say anything and kept looking into her eyes.

After a few seconds of silence that felt like forever to Alicia, Aldrian lifted his foot, allowing her to breathe normally.

However, a second later, she suddenly saw Aldrian make a motion as if he were grasping a cylindrical object and directing it toward her face. Before she could understand what he was about to do, a golden sword appeared in his hand and instantly pierced her head, causing her eyes to widen.

Her sight turned blurry, and suddenly she felt free.

’Yes, this is much better, much better than living with that feeling,’ she thought before her eyes turned lifeless.

Alicia lost her life as the golden sword pierced her head. A moment later, it disappeared.

Aldrian did not spare her another glance as he burned her body with his blue flame and walked away. He was not interested in looking into her memories, afraid that it would make him even more furious instead.

He also did not think there was any information from her that he needed.

For now, the information regarding this world and the central region of heaven was enough.

He looked at the surviving higher-ups of the devils and quickened their deaths. After killing all of the higher-ups, Aldrian flew toward the outside of the city, where he could sense that the battle was still raging.

The royal family’s troops were still fighting the remaining devils, whose numbers had already been reduced to tens of thousands after the Swords Apocalypse.

With the devils having lost all of their most powerful higher-ups, they were the ones being slaughtered by the royal troops. Although the royal troops had much smaller numbers, their cultivators were stronger on average.

They had more than seven pseudo-immortal stage cultivators, while the devils had only two. Overwhelmed by the power of higher-level cultivation, the devils were being slaughtered.

When Aldrian joined the fray, the devils’ number had already dropped to less than a thousand.

With Aldrian joining, the remaining devils were quickly dealt with before the battle finally stopped.

They could no longer sense any living devils.

Prince Martis looked at his surroundings and lifted his sword.

"We have won!"

"UWOOHH!" The others also raised their weapons and shouted.

They truly never imagined they could reach this point. To think they had attacked the devils’ main base and succeeded. They then looked at Aldrian, who was floating in the sky, the one who made all of this possible.

Thankfully, they had someone like Aldrian as their ally. They could not imagine if someone like him became their enemy instead.

Aldrian smiled as he also raised his fist, and they instantly shouted again.

Not long after, they began the post-battle procedures. Cleaning the battlefield and listing everything that could be recorded. If there were losses among their troops or treasures they could find, they had to be written in the report.

Unfortunately, there were losses among the royal troops, which was not surprising. No matter how weak the devils here were, they fought desperately. It was not surprising that they managed to kill some of the royal troops in their desperate struggle.

Aldrian was resting by sitting beside a destroyed building inside the city, watching the troops at work. Prince Martis, who saw him resting alone, approached him with a smile.

"May I accompany you, Your Excellency?" he asked.

Aldrian smiled. "Of course, Your Highness. Why would I refuse?"

Prince Martis then sat beside Aldrian. "I truly cannot express how grateful I am to you, Your Excellency, for allowing us to barge into their main base and win. So that woman you faced earlier was the leader of the devils in this world, a succubus, Your Excellency?"

"Yes, she was," Aldrian answered.

Prince Martis released a sigh. "What a terrifying enemy. Earlier, all of us inside the vessel were affected by the succubus’s technique. Was that because of her?" 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

"Well, she used her domain, so all of you were affected by it. With how powerful she was, I did not doubt that none of you could withstand it for too long," Aldrian replied.

Prince Martis sighed again. "I truly admire you, Your Excellency. Facing that kind of enemy would be a nightmare for any man, yet you could withstand it. As expected of you."

Aldrian simply smiled while looking forward and said nothing.

After a few moments of silence as they observed the other troops working, Prince Martis opened his lips.

"Do we still have to visit that place, Your Excellency? Don’t you think it would be much safer if we just killed the rest of the devils in this world without having to visit that place?"

"Well, that is true, but that would take time and cost more lives. I want the devil problem in this world to be solved as soon as possible. I still have something to do in the near future."
