The Scheming Billionaire's Heartfelt Devotion-Chapter 901 - 916: Are You Deliberately Keeping Your Distance from Me?
Feng Yi casually placed the paper bag he was holding on the table next to the hospital bed, but his words were tinged with jealousy.
Manman just smiled unconcernedly, "He is indeed young and quite handsome."
Feng Yi leaned over to take the food out of the paper bag, his displeased gaze landing on Yan Xiao, "It’s already late, you and Mu Yan should go back to the hotel to rest."
Yan Xiao knew Feng Yi was jealous, but he was nothing more than a male best friend, not a rival in love, so there was no reason for jealousy.
"Alright, Sister Manman, rest well, Mu Yan and I will visit you again tomorrow."
"Be careful on your way back," Manman replied with a smile.
After Yan Xiao and the others left, Feng Yi leaned over to adjust the bed, and went to the table to serve a bowl of soup, "This is corn and rib soup, your favorite."
Now that it was just the two of them in the room, Manman felt a bit uneasy.
Feng Yi sat on the edge of the bed with the bowl, blowing on the soup to cool it before bringing the spoon to her mouth. Manman awkwardly cleared her throat, "Um... I can do it myself."
"You have an injury on your arm, I’ll feed you."
Although he said he is her husband, Manman had no recollection of him at all, nor did she feel any attraction.
Being fed like this by a stranger felt really awkward.
Manman took the bowl from Feng Yi’s hand, her eyes avoiding his as she lowered her head, "Really, there’s no need, the injury on my arm doesn’t bother me."
"Are you deliberately keeping a distance from me?" Feng Yi looked at Manman with disappointment.
In the past, this girl was always clinging to him and couldn’t be shaken off, but now, even though they were so close, there was this sense of distance between them.
"I really don’t remember you, and I’m not able to be intimate with a stranger, I’m sorry," Manman continued to look down.
Feng Yi raised a hand to pinch the bridge of his nose, even though he knew she was amnesiac now, it still hurt him deeply.
To her, was he just a stranger?
Seeing Feng Yi silent for a long time, Manman hesitated for a few seconds before speaking again, "The doctor just said my memory could recover, maybe I’ll remember you once I’m better."
Feng Yi smiled at her, "I’ll always be here for you, even if you don’t remember. Let’s eat first."
Manman nodded, picking up a piece of braised pork and putting it into her mouth, accidentally getting some oil on the corner of her mouth. Feng Yi leaned over to get a tissue from the table, gently wiping the corner of her mouth.
Manman’s body noticeably froze for a moment, she lifted her head, and their noses nearly brushed. Nervous, she was just about to turn away when Feng Yi unexpectedly kissed her.
Manman’s thick eyelashes fluttered for a few moments, she pushed Feng Yi away forcefully, "Um... we might really be a couple, but... but I can’t remember you at all now. Could you please not do this in the future, I’m not used to it."
Hearing the girl say this made Feng Yi’s heart ache unbearably, but he knew he couldn’t rush things; he had to take it slow.
"Okay, I won’t do it again."
Manman said nothing more, awkwardly bowing her head to continue eating.
After the meal, Feng Yi tidied up the table a bit, brought a hot towel out from the bathroom, intending to help her wipe her body, but as soon as he lifted the blanket, Manman frowned at him, "What are you doing?"
