The next morning, Han Xi groggily sat up in bed, feeling a slight pain from the wound on her back.

She picked up her phone from the bedside table and glanced at it; it was already nine o’clock in the morning. She had clearly set an alarm last night.

Lu Jinghan walked out of the bathroom, flashing a gentle smile at Han Xi, "I turned off the alarm, and I also arranged leave for you at the hospital. You should wait until your wound heals before going back to work."

"But I have a surgery scheduled for today."

Lu Jinghan walked to the bedside, leaned down, and kissed the corner of Han Xi’s mouth, "Don’t worry about it, just stay at home and recover well, or else I won’t let you go to work."

"I slept really well, but sister, this brother is so aloof. I told him a whole bunch of stuff and he only said one word."

Han Xi smiled and shook her head, "Brother just prefers being quiet, and besides, you shouldn’t always chat during meals."

Lu Jinghan leaned over to pour Han Xi a cup of hot milk, "Remember to take your medicine after breakfast, and if you get bored at home, let Manman and Chu Ci come over to keep you company."

"I got it. Are you coming home for lunch?"

"Of course, I will since you’re here."

Lu Jinghan took a bite of the steamed bun made by Sister Zhang, then looked up at the little one with concern, "Meng Meng, your sister is injured, so she can’t hold you, okay?"

Han Xi stood up from the carpet, happily rubbing Wen Yichen’s head, "It’s great to have you guys."

Wen Yichen turned away in mock disdain, "My hair’s going to get all messy."

"Okay, okay, I won’t touch you."

Just as the words left her mouth, the villa’s doorbell rang. Han Xi went to open the door, "Manman, why are you here?"

"Lu Jinghan just called me, said he was worried you might get bored at home alone and asked me to come over and keep you company."

Li Manman changed her shoes at the entrance and went to the living room. Seeing Wen Yichen on the sofa, she couldn’t help but ask, "Why is there a handsome guy in your house?"
