Chapter 397: Capture Her Heart

With stomping feet, Elandir walks to the VIP section of the hospital to see Marina. He was still not sure if he was ready to see her.

"The nerve of that woman is really ostentatious! She has the guts to summon me after breaking my heart. Her audacity is so loud!" Elandir murmured to himself as he strides through the hallway.

He stopped at the door where Marina stayed and breathed in deeply before entering. He didn’t knock anymore for he was not in the mood to act in good behavior.

The next thing he saw after opening the door was a flying teacup going straight right to his face. He quickly moved his head to the right and evaded the teacup but he didn’t anticipate that Marina had thrown a second teacup, hitting him on the head before dropping to the ground and breaking into pieces.

"Ouch! What was that for?!" he exclaimed.

"That’s for coming here!" Marina responded angrily.

"But you’re the one who demanded that I go here."

"Not in this room, dummy! Here in Novus! Just what the heck are you and Chris doing here?"

Elandir sighed and closed the door. He walked closer to Marina, "So you met him too?"

"No, I didn’t but his children did and they are asking Elsa to bring them to hospital daycare again so they could play with him."

"Let him be. He won’t talk about his past with the children and Elsa. Let him spend time with his family, he at least deserves that for choosing them over dying or his wolf and kingdom."

"What? What the hell happened in Vectus?"

"If I tell you then you have to cooperate with me and help me with my plan," Elandir smirked. Knowing that Marina’s curiosity will get the best out of her.

"I am definitely not falling again to one of your tricks. Tell me first what were you planning before I decide if I will help you," Marina said.

Elandir placed his hands on his waist and replied, "Fine. It’s going to be a long story," before pulling a chair so he could sit beside Marina.

After settling in beside her, he started telling her what happened back in Vectus and that Chris chose the goddess’ third option.

Marina gasped and covered her mouth with both hands in shock. "That is so fucked up! So you mean to say that he can stay with them as long as he wouldn’t reveal his identity to Elsa?"

"That’s right, but the goddess didn’t say that others shouldn’t reveal it too. Plus, she didn’t forbid them to fall in love once again. Meaning our wolf boy could still pursue her and make her fall in love with him all over again."

"So, it will be like the situation of Nathan and Elsa? He became Ambros and pretended to be his adoptive father just so he could take care of her, without telling her that he is his real father."

"Yup, that’s right. Elsa doesn’t need to remember him, as long as she falls in love with him again then the problem is solved. Her mind might not be able to remember who he was and their past but I strongly believe that her heart will forever belong to him. They just need a little push.

So, what do you think? Will you help me with those two?" Elandir beamed and Marina just stared at him, fascinated with his smile.

Marina felt happy since there was a possibility that Elsa and Chris could be together as a family again and the children would get their father back. But seeing Elandir’s enthusiasm to help other people regarding their love life pinched her heart.

’Why couldn’t you do that to us too? Am I really not that worth it to your eyes?’ she asked herself.

"Hey, are you listening to me?" Marina heard Elandir call her attention, snapping her out of her thoughts.

"Yes, I will help you. But since I know Elsa and the children more, you will follow my lead. I will draft the master plan and you will do everything that you can to make your boy follow, are we clear?"

Elandir nodded with a smile and asked, "Let’s plan it once you are fully recovered. For now please rest well. I’ll see you again soon."

He was about to turn when Marina grabbed his arm and said, "Don’t leave... Stay with me..."

Elandir’s heart skipped a beat before it pounded hard. He could hear it so loudly.

He lowered his head and dropped his shoulders before speaking in a somber tone. "How come you have the courage to say that when it was you who left me and broke my heart? You have no idea how sad and angry I was when I found out that you left because you wanted me to marry someone else so I could produce an heir for Qiryn.

You didn’t even ask what are my plans for us. You didn’t care what I felt when you left. You didn’t include me in your plans. What if I was never gonna take another woman to be my queen? What if my plan was to run away with you after all? I never wanted to give you up Marina... If only you waited a little longer then you would have found out that I didn’t need to take the throne for myself. That there was another heir who could take it because Nathan healed my mother and now I have a brother and she could have more. But you left me without a word and hurts a lot..." 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

Marina slowly released Elandir’s arm, completely taken aback by what he had said.

"I didn’t mean it that way. I was only gonna ask you to stay so we could do the planning now, since I am not doing anything, and staying in this room bored me to death."

Elandir swiftly turned around, his face was red, "Oh! That’s what you meant, hehe," he said as he scratched his head.

"But since you’ve opened up, tell me about it. What happened after I left?"

Elandir gulped, he was not ready for it. His anger for her is now gone, he’s not sure if she is still willing to accept after all the years that passed. But if there’s one thing that he wanted to achieve in Novus, that would be to capture Marina’s heart once again.
