The Royal Mark-Chapter 266: Big Cats

Elsa bit her lower lip and lowered her head as she tried to hide her laughter. There is a pressing matter that she needs to attend to rather than having a sexy time with her husband. Right now the safety of her son, Arcanis, and their people are more important than their lustful desires.

She holds up her hand to signal to Lexi to wait a minute while she talks to Chris. Lexi rolled her eyes before nodding to her.

’I want to hold you badly, my wi–’

’Chris, can you contact Hoven?’ Elsa cut off making Chris stop stroking himself.

’H-Hoven? For what? At this time? He can wait. Let’s go ba–’

’Lexi and I, are looking for him. It’s important but nothing that you must be concerned of,’ Elsa cut off once again.

Chris dropped his jaw, flabbergasted of the situation and completely annoyed. Who would not be anyway when you are in the middle of... you know...

’What is it about?’ Chris asked with an irritated voice.

’Hoven blocked both of us. Lexi said she couldn’t contact her brother and had me try to contact him but I am blocked too when we thought he wouldn’t especially since you are not here. So... Can you try to contact him?’ Elsa insisted causing Chris to be more irritated.

’Why are you so desperate to contact Hoven at this time? It’s late maybe he just wants to have a good rest. He must be already sleeping.’

’Are you going to try or not?’ This time Elsa also became exasperated since she wanted to find both Hoven and Milda but she also can’t tell Chris the real reason why. He might get worried about something she’s not sure about and might go back to Blackhart Castle instead of going to Saldivar.

’Okay, I will try, but...’ Chris said with hesitation at the end.

However, Elsa was already getting impatient after seeing Lexi cross her arms while waiting for them to finish talking. ’No buts, just do it!’

Chris was astonished when Elsa raised her voice, almost shouting at him. He quickly contacted Hoven, and soon realized that he, too, was blocked.

’Tell me what is going on there? Hoven blocked me too...’ Chris informed Elsa.

’Wait, how–’ Chris retorted but Elsa swiftly closed off their bond and all he could do was look down at his lonely and disappointed friend down there that was aching and screaming for attention.

"How could I not dream of you when it’s your fault that I am this hard?" Chris said to himself.

With a loud sigh, his hand started moving again stroking himself up and down while his other hand clutched the sheet.

’Fuck, Elsa... Wait for my punishment as soon as I get home. I will make sure to give you what you deserve...’ Chris thought before concentrating on thinking about his wife’s naked body and all the naughty things they did in the past.

Meanwhile, back in Blackhart Castle, Elsa quickly grabbed Lexi’s wrist and pulled her.

"Where are we going?" Lexi asked.

"If Hoven blocked everyone, then we have no choice but to find him. Follow his scent."

"B-But his scent is all over the place!"

"Then we will check all those places. What if he is trouble and it’s Milda’s doing? Have you thought about that? What if my aunt is working with Yvonne and their plan is to take down everyone around me and Rocco before attacking us? Because that would be a good plan right?" Elsa said without looking at Lexi. She was busy checking everything around them hoping to get a clue where Hoven and Milda went.

Lexi’s eyes widened and exclaimed, "Oh my God! I didn’t think of that. What if you are right?"

This time she was the one who took hold of Elsa’s wrist, gently dragging her along the hallway. "Come on, my queen, this way..." Lexi confidently leads Elsa.

The two women checked every room, corner, and space that had Hoven’s scent but didn’t find him anywhere or Milda. But that’s until they reach the hallway going to the door that leads to the dungeon below Blackhart Castle.

"Can you hear that?" Lexi whispered, trying not to alert the source of the noise, but loud enough for Elsa to hear.

"Hear what? You know that I don’t have hearing like yours. What do you hear?" Elsa replied with a tinge of worry and fear.

"Sounds like a crying cat? But I don’t think it’s a cat, the voice is bigger and doesn’t sound like it’s coming from an animal," Lexi said as she tilted her head to listen more to the sound.

"Maybe a big cat then? A cheetah, tiger, or lion perhaps?"

"But there’s nothing like that in Arcanis. Hmm... I think there’s two!" Lexi uttered before abruptly pulling Elsa towards the source of the sounds.

Elsa almost lost her balance when Lexi swiftly dragged her to who knows where... "Where are we go–"

Lexi quickly faced Elsa and gestured for her to be quiet, "Shh! It might flee if they hear us. Let’s approach it quietly, we don’t know what kind of creature it is. Be ready to fight just in case it’s feral."

Elsa nodded and both women started walking on tiptoe making sure to catch whatever was producing that weird sound. Lexi stopped in front of a door. It’s the office of the head guard of the dungeon and Lexi signaled to Elsa that the sound is coming from inside.

’I can hear it too!’ Elsa exclaimed via their mind link when whatever was inside started producing the cat-like cry once again.

’I will count to three before I kick the door. Be ready!’ Lexi said.

’Okay, I will...’ Elsa opened her hands and conjured flames on her palms. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

"Divinuum presidium..." she whispered, casting a divine shield around her and Lexi.

’One, two, three!’

Lexi unleashed a powerful kick at the door of the head guard’s office. With all her strength, she sent the door flying open, slamming against the wall and startling whoever was making the sounds inside.
