The Royal Mark-Chapter 105: Are You Still Sore?

Elsa touched Chris’ chest on the part where the purple discoloration was located. Not only bruises were on his chest but there was also an open wound that was not bleeding but also not healing. It looks like a burnt meat.

"Does it hurt?" Elsa asked without looking at Chris her eyes were fixed on his wound. She was wondering how strong Chris was. If it happened to a normal person, that person would surely be dead by now.

Since she was so busy examining his chest, she didn’t see how Chris was looking and smiling at her. He was deeply touched to see how Elsa was so worried about him. It just shows that she truly cares about him.

The person who saw all this was Alexandra. She was keenly watching Chris’ every move and it hurt her so much to see that her first love was head over heels in love with his mate. She really doesn’t have a chance with him even if they have known each other ever since she was born. He was right, she thought, he would forever look at her like a little sister.

Chris gently grabbed Elsa’s hand, lifted it closer to his face, and gave it a sweet long kiss. "Stop worrying about me, I will be fine. My pain tolerance is high, the wound was much worse yesterday. My body can heal dark magic but it will take a long time, and I don’t want to have a curse on our mating night."

"So that’s why you were ghosting me! You were badly injured weren’t you?" Elsa exclaimed.

"Yes, I was. But like I said, your groom-to-be is strong and I don’t want you to worry," Chris chuckled at Elsa’s pouty face.

Drake arrived together with Valeria and the other fire mages. Drake already gave them an insight into how bad the injury of Chris was since he requested the procedure prior to Elsa finding out about it.

"Prince Christopher, may I demand that starting today, be careful. I don’t want my granddaughter to be a widow even before you give her an heir. That is totally not acceptable."

"Don’t worry, Mistress Valeria, I will make sure that she will become pregnant on our mating night," Chris said mischievously, earning him a glare from Elsa while Valeria shook her head.

"Alright, let’s do this so we can all get back to the ball. Elsa we will have to do this together but instead of only using dispel, we have to pull out whatever is inside him using the air element," Valeria instructed.

"That’s a problem, I don’t know how to use it yet," Elsa replied.

"It’s similar and opposite to your fire magic. They both come from your core where your mana is. But you use rage in fire from your gut opposite of air where you need to have a calm mind and breathe properly as it will come from your lungs," Valeria explained and Elsa nodded.

[I will help you,] Ciel said and quickly stood beside her.

Everyone soon got into their position, Drake stood behind Chris. Elsa and Valeria were in front of him while the two fire mages were on either side of Chris.

"Once the worm is out, start incinerating it, understood?" Valeria told the two fire mages who nodded in agreement.

Elsa and Valeria extended their hands towards Chris’ chest and started chanting at the same time. "Maleh diksiyonem et tenebras diskute, Maleh diksiyonem et tenebras diskute."

Soon the worm started to come out of his chest and it was not what Elsa was expecting. "Oh my God! That’s one gigantic worm! Are you sure that’s a worm and not a full-grown boa?!"

"Elsa! Keep quiet and focus!" Valeria scolded.

The fire mages started to burn the giant worm causing it to wriggle, hurting Chris. "Argh! Damnit!" Chris screamed as he tried to stand still. Drake quickly holds his shoulders to help him stay still as Valeria and Elsa suck out the giant worm.

Everyone was panting when they finally removed it. Elsa noticed Ciel was panting more than them, really exhausted, and she got worried.

"Ciel! Oh no!" Elsa exclaimed.

[I’m fine, but really tired. I just need to rest a bit but I would need a big steak as a payment for helping,] Ciel replied, easing Elsa’s worry. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"Is it ok if you carry Ciel to my room? You are the only one strong enough here to carry her," Elsa requested from Drake who immediately nodded. She then turned to Valeria, "Grandma can we have the servants bring a huge steak for Ciel and some food for us? I am starving but I’m tired and I think Chris needs to rest too."

Valeria nodded and left the room with the fire mages.

"I will leave too. Rest well, Chris," Alexandra mumbled but both Elsa and Chris heard her before she went out too.

Elsa playfully hit Chris’ shoulder as soon as Alexandra was out of sight, "What is wrong with you? She likes you and you are hurting her feelings. She was so worried about you and was begging the soldiers and healers to help you."

"Of course, she likes me. I am a better brother than his real brother," Chris boasted.

"She likes you romantically, Chris. I think you should address that before we get married to lessen her pain. She’s expecting you to end our marriage after you take back your kingdom and marry her."

"What? She took it seriously? We were kids back then. It was a joke by our parents whenever she would say she liked me and would throw a tantrum when it was time for her to go home after playing with my sister in our castle the whole day."

"She didn’t see it that way so explain it to her," Elsa said.

Chris moved closer to Elsa and encircled her waist with his hands, "Alright, I will do that. Can we stop talking about other people now and let’s just focus on ourselves? I have been wanting to spend some alone time with you ever since I left the castle," Chris pulled Elsa closer and grazed his nose on her neck.

"Don’t do that again. If ever you go somewhere, especially if you are fighting, I want you to always update me about how you are doing. I don’t like not knowing things and it worries me," Elsa said.

"Alright, I will do that too," Chris uttered while planting gentle soft kisses on the area around her ear. His hand soon went down between her legs caressing it over her thick skirt and said, "It has been three days, princess. Does this still hurt? Are you still sore?"
