The Rise of the White Lotus-Chapter 616: Congratulations! CHURUxMORRIS
616 Congratulations! CHURUxMORRIS
Hours later…
"I told you to stop drinking…" Calm yet commanding, Churu descended from the ceiling down to the kitchen counter where Morris Liu poured himself a glass of wine.
Without turning his head towards her, he answered. "One glass." He stopped once the glass of wine was half-filled.
Churu pouted, crossing her arms on her flabby belly as her gaze followed his figure as he strode away from the kitchen. "Have you had dinner?!" She shouted when he was about to exit the kitchen.
Her call halted his steps, turning back to look at her small floating figure. "Make me some." said Morris Liu before resuming in his tracks.
"What?! What do you take me for? Your maid? Servant? For your information, I am a divine being! The strongest among the devils and angels! Even Lucifer can't control me!" Churu harrumphed, throwing a huge fit despite that the person already left. His guts truly ticked her off everyday!
"This human! I'll bite his head off!" Churu grumbled. Alas, the next second, she transformed into her human form -- naked as usual because she wasn't wearing anything on her dumpling form. Even if she wore all customized clothes Lexi made for her, they wouldn't fit in her human form.
Therefore, to avoid getting her precious dresses made by Lexi ripped apart, Churu decided to wear nothing on her dumpling form. She's comfortable in it anyway. Also, not that people see her; only Lexi, Ethan, and Morris Liu were the people that could see her.
"I really hate him!" Through her gritted teeth, Churu walked to get the apron hanging on the kitchen counter, wearing it as she tied up her silver hair. "What does he even want for dinner?" She muttered, annoyed stomps towards the two-door refrigerator, checking what ingredients that were available.
In the end, Churu ended up making him a congee, boiled eggs, and a few side dishes. No matter how annoyed she was, complaining throughout the whole prepping time, she still made him dinner wearing only an apron. When she served everything on the tray, a satisfied smile formed on the side of her lips as she brought it to where he was during this time -- to his study!

"Hey scumbag! Your dinner is here!" In front of the study door, Churu shouted as she slowly bent down, placing the food on the floor. However, just when she placed the tray on the tiled floor, she heard the door slowly open.
Morris Liu, who opened the door slowly looked down. The moment he did, her bare back and a glimpse of her fair bum was what graced his eyes. However, his face remained unfazed as if seeing her like this had become normal. 𝙛𝐫e𝚎wℯ𝗯𝒏𝗼ѵ𝙚l.𝒄o𝚖
"Am I a dog?" He asked, his eyes shifting to the tray which she put down.
"Who's taking advantage of who?" Slowly, his right brow arched, slightly tilting his head to the side. Churu's fist tightened, her jaw tightened before a sharp 'hmph! escaped her lips and ran away.
"I hate you chu!" Churu shouted as she ran away from him. Morris Liu's gaze followed her figure before he sighed heavily.
Slowly, he looked down on the food that she prepared for him. He bent down, picking up the tray and then kicked the door closed behind her. He brought it to his desk, withering flowers from three days ago resting on the side of his desk.
As he noticed the bouquet of flowers he bought a few days back that had failed to land on her hands, Morris Liu sighed once again. These flowers, he meant to give it to her as he closed a huge deal and wanted to celebrate it with her.
However, Churu didn't return until today. He should've gotten used to it by now that Churu was Ethan's. Apparently, he couldn't seem to get used to it. She only returned whenever she needed him. To be exact, whenever she wanted to restore her energy by sleeping together with him.
Sleeping as in on the same bed, holding hands -- sometimes she could cling on him -- and then sleep together. That has been happening for the past year. She would come and go as she pleased. On the other hand, he would wait for her until she returned. Which made him wonder what he was to her?
Morris Liu didn't know when this started, but he had started getting greedy for this sometimes human sometimes dumpling being. He knew he shouldn't, but it just happened. Thus, he was purposely trying to be mean to stop himself from losing himself.
Still, there were days he longed for her company. Just knowing she was here, that was enough for him. Yet, that too seemed to be impossible because her life was connected to Ethan…
Right… Ethan. Of course, he got what Morris Liu always wanted like always. Not that he should blame Ethan for that, but deep down, he couldn't help but feel envious of the man. Lexi's case was different, Morris Liu admitted it was his entire fault.
But Churu… it's just unfair.
"Unfair…?" He whispered, a mocking scoff escaped from his lips upon the pathetic thought that hovered over his head.
"How pathetic…" He chuckled, his faint laughter laced with ridiculing as he shook his head and returned his focus on the dinner she made him.
One after another, Morris Liu transferred the bowls, saucers, and glass of water from the tray to the desk. As he did so, his right brow arched as he noticed something sticking out from under the bowl of congee.
Out of curiosity, Morris Liu placed the tip of his forefinger onto the piece of paper and lifted the bowl up as it stuck under it. When he did, he read the short note that says:
"Congratulations! \u003c3"
The shock on his face immediately surfaced, before his eyes softened as the corner of his lips curled into a gentle smile. "Alvah???" He whispered. After a second, Morris put the bowl on the desk and rushed outside the study room.
