The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 90 - 88: Pretentious or Stupid?
「Thirty minutes later.」
In a classroom filled only with the rustling of pens on paper, a different sound broke the silence. Qin Fan walked up to the teacher’s podium, his language exam paper in hand. This sudden movement caused all the students to look up in unison, staring at him with utter confusion. The exam only started twenty minutes ago. What on earth is that psycho thinking?
"Student Qin Fan, what are you doing?" the homeroom teacher asked, equally puzzled.
"I’m done. Handing in my paper," Qin Fan said with a casual, faint smile. "Oh, and while we’re at it, could you bring me the exams for the other subjects? I’ll take them all at once. That way, I can skip their upcoming mock exams."
What the hell? Finished? He wants to take all the other mock exams at once? Upon hearing this, the homeroom teacher felt an immediate surge of anger. This was a clear attempt to mock him! Given Qin Fan’s grades, setting aside the question of whether he could even handle multiple exams at once, turning in a paper after just twenty minutes meant he must have just scribbled nonsense all over it!
The teacher recalled how he had just advised Qin Fan not to put too much pressure on himself. It seemed the boy hadn’t put on any pressure, but in doing so, he had delivered a vicious slap to his teacher’s face! If it weren’t for the mysterious incident with Ni Duan that had occurred between Qin Fan and the principal, the homeroom teacher would have kicked him out without a second thought. What is this nonsense!
However, considering Qin Fan’s recent changes and the incident with the principal, he had to suppress his emotions. "Fine," he said, "I’ll go get them for you!"
With that, he walked straight out of the classroom without even glancing at the test paper Qin Fan had submitted. But deep down, amidst his indignation, he scoffed. He’s like mud that can’t be plastered on a wall—a complete lost cause!
"Qin Fan, you—" Ji Yuchen, seeing this from her seat, couldn’t help but furrow her brow and call out softly.
She had thought Qin Fan had changed, that he was no longer the person he used to be. But now, it seemed he was still as disappointing and irresponsible as ever. Before she could finish her sentence, however, Qin Fan raised his index finger to his lips and gave her a gentle "shh." Then, with a smile, he walked back to his seat.
Watching Qin Fan’s incredibly pretentious display, many students sneered inwardly. Handing in the test in twenty minutes and asking to take all the others? That’s not showing off, that’s being a damn moron! Even the top students wouldn’t dare pull a stunt like that. What right does a slacker with bottom-of-the-barrel grades like Qin Fan have? He tried to look cool, but he just ended up looking like a total idiot!
Amidst the silent contempt and derision, the homeroom teacher quickly returned. He walked over to Qin Fan, dropped the mock exam papers for the other subjects on his desk, and grunted, "Here you go!"
"Thanks!" Qin Fan replied with a leisurely smile, not even bothering to look up. He simply picked up his pen and got to work.
Back at the podium, the homeroom teacher didn’t pick up the exam paper Qin Fan had submitted. He didn’t want to subject himself to pointless frustration. To be generous, twenty minutes isn’t even enough time to finish the essay. Is there any need to even look at a paper like that? But what Qin Fan was thinking, he didn’t know, nor did he care to find out.
The rustling sound of writing started again, never pausing for a moment.
Twenty minutes: Mathematics, complete.
Eighteen minutes: English, complete.
Thirty minutes: Liberal Arts Comprehensive, complete.
After finishing those, Qin Fan turned his head and noticed that the homeroom teacher, in his fit of pique, had also brought the Science Comprehensive exam paper. Seeing there was still an hour left, Qin Fan smirked playfully, picked up the paper, and began to write.
Thirty minutes later, he put down his pen.
Qin Fan walked to the podium with the stack of mock exam papers and said calmly, "Teacher, I’m handing in my papers. Can I leave now?"
"Yes, you can go!" The teacher, unable to vent his anger, forced a smile and choked out the words.
Hearing this, Qin Fan nodded, said nothing more, and strode out of the classroom.
Watching Qin Fan’s departing back, the teacher let out a sigh that was part self-mockery, part sarcasm. Then, he glanced down at the stack of papers Qin Fan had turned in. The moment he saw them, he froze.
Qin Fan’s exam papers were all completely filled out.
In under two hours, less than the time allotted for a single subject, he filled out everything?
The startling sight made him freeze. His eyes widened in shock as he immediately pulled the Language paper from the bottom of the stack. As his eyes swept across the page, his breathing instantly quickened.
How is this possible? How is this possible? He couldn’t stop himself from crying out in his mind as the hands holding the exam paper began to tremble.
Skipping past the multiple-choice questions for the moment, he saw that the answers Qin Fan had written were more definitive than the textbook’s own. And the essay—the essay was so brilliant that he, a language teacher, felt utterly inadequate by comparison.
Did Qin Fan really write this?
Dumbfounded, he shot up from his chair and chased out of the classroom, but Qin Fan was already long gone. He hurried back inside, frantic, and glanced again at the other densely filled-out exam papers. Without a second thought, he grabbed the entire stack and rushed out of the room, completely ignoring the students still taking their exams.
If Qin Fan could flawlessly complete the Language paper in twenty minutes, then what about the other papers he filled out so densely? I need to gather the other subject teachers and get these graded immediately!
"What’s going on?"
"What happened? What did Qin Fan write on his paper?"
"Dammit! That psycho must have finally snapped!"
"Finishing every single exam in two hours? There’s no other explanation. He must be crazy!"
The moment their teacher left, the students of Class 7 erupted into discussion. Only Ji Yuchen’s face was etched with worry. She was concerned that Qin Fan had caused trouble again by openly provoking the teacher. After all, completing so many exams in just two hours was simply impossible. Combined with the teacher’s strange expression, she couldn’t imagine any other possibility. As for the real reason for the teacher’s shock, she would never have guessed the truth, not even in a million years.
"Mr. Qin—Student Qin Fan!"
Just as Qin Fan was exiting the academic building, a Passat that had just driven onto campus screeched to a halt beside him. The door flew open, and Tao Yuan stepped out, his face ecstatic as he called out loudly.
"Well, if it isn’t Principal Tao. What’s up?" Qin Fan paused and asked with a slight smile.
"Um, could I possibly invite you to my office for a chat?" At this moment, Tao Yuan used an extremely respectful tone.
His office? For a chat?
Qin Fan pursed his lips into a smirk. "Sure, I suppose I can kill some time."
"Excellent, excellent!" Tao Yuan replied joyfully. He then turned to a passing faculty member and said quickly, "Excuse me, Teacher, could you do me a favor and drive my car back to the parking garage?"
The teacher Tao Yuan had called over looked completely bewildered. He just drove through the school gates, and now he wants someone else to park his car? But under Principal Tao’s expectant gaze, he didn’t dare hesitate.
"Yes, of course, Principal Tao! I’ll take it there right away!" he replied with a quick smile, before deftly hopping into the car.
But a moment later, as he glanced in the rearview mirror, he saw an unbelievable sight: the principal, a sycophantic smile plastered on his face, was following half a step behind Qin Fan as they walked toward the administration building.
The teacher was so shocked he felt as if he had been struck by lightning, and he remained frozen for a long, long time.
