The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 71 - 70: Let’s Play Something Exciting!
As if oblivious to the blatant mockery in Qin Fan’s eyes, Kang Xiaohai let out an arrogant snort. With utter contempt, he sneered, "You can always say no! I get it. After all, you’re used to being a coward, aren’t you? Kneel, kowtow three times, and bark like a dog! Do that, and I’ll let you go!"
Kneel, kowtow, bark like a dog... Qin Fan had endured such humiliations more times than he could count in his previous life. Remembering that history of disgrace, an endless list of humiliations, he couldn’t help but shake his head with a smile. It was a smile that seemed to reminisce about the past, but one tinged more with regret.
A glint of cold resolve flashed across his handsome face. With lightning speed, Qin Fan shot his hand out and seized Kang Xiaohai’s throat, catching him completely off guard. "You aren’t worthy of a duel with me," he said in a frigid tone. "Let’s play something a little more... thrilling."
The words had barely left his mouth when Qin Fan yanked hard on the hand clutching Kang Xiaohai’s throat, giving him no time to react. In an instant, Kang Xiaohai was hoisted off his feet, completely under Qin Fan’s control.
He tried to scream threats, but with his throat in a vice-like grip, no sound could escape. Rage boiled in his heart as shame burned across his face. Me? A dignified Taekwondo green belt, being dragged by the neck in front of everyone by this piece of trash? This is utterly intolerable! Clenching his huge fist while being dragged, Kang Xiaohai swung it at Qin Fan’s head.
"Put that kitten’s paw away," Qin Fan said with cold indifference. As Kang Xiaohai’s punch flew, Qin Fan casually raised his hand and swept it aside.
CRACK!
A sharp, crisp sound echoed. The force of the sweep dislocated Kang Xiaohai’s right shoulder, and his entire arm hung limp and useless at his side.
This... How is this possible? This loser... how did he do that?! The first thing Kang Xiaohai felt wasn’t the searing pain from his shoulder, but a wave of utter disbelief that flooded his mind.
Qin Fan didn’t give him any time to process his shock. He dragged him by the throat straight to the corridor railing. In one fluid motion, Qin Fan leaped onto it, pulling Kang Xiaohai up with him.
Forced to balance on the narrow ledge, only a few centimeters wide, Kang Xiaohai was completely consumed by terror, the pain from his dislocated shoulder forgotten. The moment Qin Fan loosened his grip on his throat, Kang Xiaohai shrieked, "Y-You! What are you doing?!"
The fifth floor! This is over ten meters high! A fall from here... even if it doesn’t kill me, I’ll be crippled for life!
In that instant, Kang Xiaohai forgot all about teaching Qin Fan a lesson. He forgot about the duel and the searing pain in his shoulder. All he wanted was to leap back to the safety of the corridor floor. But with Qin Fan’s hand gripping his collar, he had no chance to escape.
"What am I doing?" Qin Fan’s voice was laced with amusement as he stood on the railing, as steady as a mountain. "Didn’t I say we were going to play something thrilling? How about we jump together? We can see who dies first. Is that thrilling enough for you?"
The scene stunned all the student onlookers. Just watching was enough to make them tremble, and many of the girls began to scream at the horrifying sight. They all knew Qin Fan had been acting crazy ever since he returned from his tutoring job, but they never imagined he’d go this far. Is he trying to take Kang Xiaohai down with him?
"No, no, no!" Kang Xiaohai screamed, his face deathly pale as he shook his head frantically.
"Not thrilling enough?" Qin Fan’s smile turned wicked. "You’re right. The real thrill is in the fall itself! Come on, let’s jump!" He then feigned a lunge, as if he were about to leap.
In that instant, Kang Xiaohai instinctively shot out his good hand and grabbed a fistful of Qin Fan’s shirt. He trembled uncontrollably, his voice cracking as he begged, "Don’t! Don’t jump! I don’t want to jump! Help! Somebody, help me!"
"Scared already?" Qin Fan sneered.
"Yes, I’m scared! I’m scared!" Kang Xiaohai yelled, clinging to this sliver of hope. "Qin Fan, let me go! No more duel, no more!"
"What did you call me? I couldn’t hear you," Qin Fan said calmly.
"Master Qin! Master Qin! You’re Master Qin!" Kang Xiaohai shrieked. "Let me go! Please, let me go!"
"What was that?" Qin Fan goaded him again.
Calling him Qin Fan hadn’t worked. Calling him Master Qin hadn’t worked either. What else was there? At this life-or-death juncture, Kang Xiaohai threw all pride to the wind. "Grandpa! You’re my grandpa! Please, just let me down! I don’t want to jump, I don’t want to jump!"
The words burst out of him, and Kang Xiaohai finally broke down, crying and wailing pathetically.
SLAP!
The sharp sound of a backhand slap cut through his cries as Qin Fan’s strike snapped his head to the side.
"Who are you calling grandpa?" Qin Fan snarled. "I don’t have a piece-of-shit grandson like you."
"Then what should I call you?! Just tell me! I’ll say it! I’ll do anything, just let me down!" The stinging pain on his cheek was nothing compared to the terror that consumed him. Kang Xiaohai had cast away every last shred of his dignity.
Where there’s life, there’s hope! Staying alive is all that matters! Now, teetering on this narrow railing, he didn’t dare gamble on whether Qin Fan was bluffing. In his eyes, and in the eyes of all the other students, Qin Fan had gone completely insane. Bet my life against a lunatic’s? That’s just asking to die!
"Now, bark like a dog. Bark!" Qin Fan commanded, shoving Kang Xiaohai slightly forward over the edge. As a scream of pure despair ripped from Kang Xiaohai’s throat, Qin Fan yanked him back again.
"WOOF! WOOF WOOF! WOOF WOOF WOOF!" Still reeling from the shock, Kang Xiaohai had no choice but to obey, tears and snot streaming down his face as he barked.
"Continue," Qin Fan said, his expression as placid and indifferent as ever.
"WOOF WOOF WOOF! WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF!"
Humiliated? Is there any word for this? Crying while barking like a dog in front of the entire school... even for a regular person, this would be enough to completely shatter their dignity, let alone for someone like me, born with a silver spoon in my mouth. But do I have a choice right now? I can’t bet against his madness. I can’t gamble with my life! He’s just a worthless piece of pottery, but I’m priceless porcelain!
At that moment, Ji Yuchen came rushing out of the Class Seven classroom, having heard the commotion. Her face was pale with panic as she pushed through the crowd. "Qin Fan, what are you doing?!" she cried out. "Don’t be impulsive! Please, don’t do it!"
But Qin Fan completely ignored her pleas. Amidst Kang Xiaohai’s non-stop barking, a wicked grin suddenly spread across his face. To Kang Xiaohai, that smile was an omen of death.
"Your barks aren’t convincing enough," Qin Fan said suddenly. "Forget it. No need to bark anymore. Let’s get to the truly thrilling part."
"NO!!!"
As Qin Fan finished speaking, Kang Xiaohai’s pupils dilated in absolute terror. Screaming hysterically, he saw his own fate flash before his eyes. The next second—perhaps not even a full second later—as his scream began, Qin Fan, still smiling, tightened his grip on the boy’s collar and simply stepped off the railing, plunging from the fifth floor.
"AHHHHH!!!!"
"AHHHHH!!!!"
"AHHHHH!!!!"
Boys and girls alike, everyone in Qi Middle School who witnessed the fall let out blood-curdling screams of pure horror.
