The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 371 - 361: The Shameless Five-Nation Alliance Army! (3)
Li Qiuze and his friends realized they were completely superfluous.
Qin Fan alone was enough to make the opposing five players question their very existence.
And as for them, how should one put it? Every point they scored felt like a handout.
They were just wasting game time. After all, Qin Fan could score with a casual toss, hitting a bullseye every single time. The moment he shot, a three-pointer was guaranteed.
Witnessing Qin Fan’s unbelievably godlike basketball skills, Li Qiuze and his friends honestly felt their faces flush with shame.
Damn it! We’re the definition of dead weight!
"Fine. Let me show them how basketball is really played," Qin Fan declared with a laugh as he dribbled the ball.
"Deal! You go run them ragged. The rest of us will grab some water. One-on-five shouldn’t be a problem for you, right?" Li Qiuze shot back with a hearty laugh.
At Qin Fan’s grunt of assent, Li Qiuze and the others walked off the court, heads held high and chests puffed out, not even breathing heavily.
Just then, the referee’s whistle blew.
"Wait, no! H-how is this supposed to work? I don’t have a problem with you taking on five, but who’s going to inbound the ball? Me?! That’s not how you play the game!" the student council referee cried out, on the verge of tears.
Being a referee had never felt so thankless. Faced with Qin Fan’s inhuman, freakish skills, he felt completely invisible. If Li Qiuze and the others hadn’t left the court, he wouldn’t have even had a chance to blow his whistle.
"It’s fine. You’ve seen it for yourself. Since I stepped onto the court, has our side ever needed to inbound the ball?" Qin Fan replied with an arrogant smirk.
The referee was struck speechless.
It seems... that’s actually true! But it’s still against the rules! If they’re going to do this, what’s the point of having a referee? He might as well just play by himself!
"Are you saying you want to take on all five of us alone?" the Indian exchange student asked, walking over during the pause.
"Are you scared?" Qin Fan glanced at them with contempt.
"You—you’re insulting us!" the Thai student exclaimed.
"Do you stand a chance in a five-on-five? Compared to that, which is more insulting?" Qin Fan retorted.
"You can’t make any long-distance shots!" Only the Korean could make such a shameless demand.
"Fine," Qin Fan agreed with a dismissive laugh.
"You can’t steal the ball before we cross half-court!" the aquiline-nosed American, traumatized from being repeatedly stripped of the ball, snarled through gritted teeth.
"Fine."
"And you can’t steal when we’re inbounding the ball!" the Japanese student added.
"Same answer as before. Don’t worry, I won’t steal. Now, start the game!"
Hearing this exchange, the referee was dumbfounded.
What the hell! It’s one-on-five, and the team with more players is making these kinds of shameless demands? Holy—! Hell no! What’s the point of me being a referee anymore?!
"Look, you guys just play by yourselves! I’m done!" the student council referee said, his face a mask of grievance. He then turned and walked off the court.
Outside the court, everyone was stunned. What in the world was going on? What was said to make even the referee quit?
Before they could figure it out, the Japanese student inbounded the ball. Once again, the American took it and sprinted forward, crossing the midline in the blink of an eye.
At that moment, three players suddenly converged on Qin Fan, forming a tight triangle around him.
"Damn, how is he supposed to play like this!"
"This Alliance Army is so damn shameless!"
"Using tactics like this in a one-on-five? Hahaha! That’s hilarious! The Alliance Army truly has no shame!"
"So what if they win by a hundred points? Would they dare brag about it outside? Haha!"
Seeing the spectacle on the court, the students outside began to comment, some indignant, others laughing at the absurdity of it all.
However, their chatter didn’t last long before it died down.
Right as the American went for a layup, Qin Fan, still surrounded by the three players, suddenly soared into the air and swatted the ball away with one clean slap.
He then swiftly broke through the encirclement, securing the ball near the midline.
"He can’t shoot from long range, so don’t give him a chance for a layup! Quick, fall back into a zone defense!" the American, already numb from having his shots blocked, yelled in alarm.
The five members of the Alliance Army scrambled back to their half of the court, forming a formidable, three-layer defensive wall. Meanwhile, Qin Fan had only just leisurely strolled past the midline.
"Dunk! Qin Fan, dunk!"
At this critical juncture, someone in the crowd suddenly started shouting at the top of their lungs.
Instantly, the countless students and teachers who had witnessed Qin Fan’s physics-defying jumping ability were swept up by the chant.
"Qin Fan, dunk!"
"Qin Fan, dunk!"
"Qin Fan, dunk!"
The roars, each wave louder than the last, thundered across the court, shaking the very heavens.
Hearing the calls for a dunk wash over them from all directions, the five international players felt a sudden, inexplicable wave of panic.
A dunk? Qin Fan hasn’t tried one yet. But with his jumping power, would a dunk even be difficult for him? No!!!
"Hold the line! We cannot let him dunk, no matter the cost! Our dignity is on the line!" the American roared.
"He has absolutely no chance! If he dares to try and dunk, heh heh..." the Korean sneered maliciously.
But just as the words left his mouth, Qin Fan, standing near the midline, suddenly smiled. "By popular demand! All right, I’ll dunk."
"What?! You bastard, we can’t let him jump!" the Japanese student, who was in Jinling to study Chinese, roared furiously.
In an instant, the faces of the Alliance Army twisted into savage snarls.
And then, Qin Fan charged. He raced from the midline to the three-point line, then launched himself into the air, soaring toward the basket. He looked like a flying god.
"Take him down!"
The American and the Japanese student leaped high, their elbows aimed subtly at Qin Fan.
But just as their elbows were about to connect, Qin Fan suddenly drove his knees upward, aiming with pinpoint accuracy for their jaws.
SNAP!
A sickening, deep sound of dislocation echoed from the jaws of the American and the Japanese student.
The next moment, pig-like squeals erupted from their mouths. Struck by Qin Fan’s knees, their bodies were sent flying backward through the air.
At the same time, the Korean and the Indian student behind them inexplicably jumped up, intending to form a second line of defense. They never expected that the moment they left the ground, they would collide with the flying bodies of the American and the Japanese student.
The high-speed impact sent them flying as well. Piercing screams ripped through the air.
Qin Fan, the architect of this chaos, didn’t even spare them a glance, a cold, grim sneer flickering across his face.
In the next blink of an eye, he was at the rim. Without any hesitation, he gripped the basketball with both hands and slammed it down with earth-shattering force.
BANG!!!
A sound like a cannon blast erupted from the hoop.
The moment Qin Fan landed, the rim tore loose.
CRASH!
The backboard, unable to withstand the force, shattered into countless pieces that rained down onto the court.
Even the support pole connecting the backboard to the stand bent at an unbelievable angle.
Against this backdrop of utter destruction, the entire world fell silent once again. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
The surrounding crowd of students and teachers stood as if struck by lightning, frozen in place like wooden chickens.
On the court, the lone, unharmed survivor, the student from Thailand, began to tremble violently. Suddenly, as if possessed, he bolted from the court, screaming in utter terror, "Alien! Alien! The alien is here!"
