The night deepened, and the boisterous dormitory area gradually grew quiet. After all, military training awaited the freshmen the next day. It had become common knowledge to get a good night's sleep and store up energy. However, in Room 708 of Building C, Li Qiuzhe and the other two were furrowing their brows, pacing back and forth incessantly.

"What's going on with our Fourth Bro? It's already midnight and he hasn't come back. He's not answering his phone or replying to texts! What the hell is going on?" Li Qiuzhe paced around, pounding the back of his hand into his palm, completely baffled.

"Boss, do you think our Fourth Bro went off to... you know... with Goddess Yinuo?" Zhu Houqing asked with a strange expression, suddenly stopping his pacing.

"Bullshit! I'm starting to question your IQ if you can say something like that. Do you really think she's some girl from a back-alley salon? Even with a salon girl, you'd have to negotiate a price, let alone our Fourth Bro's Goddess Yinuo! You're lucky he didn't hear you say that, or you'd end up just like Wolf Bro next door," Wang Dalu said, looking at Zhu Houqing with contempt.

"Screw your IQ! *You're* the one comparing his goddess to a salon girl. If our Fourth Bro heard *you*, you'd be in even worse shape than the guy next door!" Zhu Houqing retorted indignantly.

At that, Li Qiuzhe came to a halt. His expression chilled. "Enough with the damn bickering! I'm just worried something happened to our Fourth Bro. He wouldn't normally ignore his phone. Damn it, what the hell is going on? Shit! Let's stop guessing. For all our Fourth Bro has done for our dorm, if we don't hear from him, none of us will be able to sleep with a clear conscience tonight! Let's go, we're going out to find him!"

"Find him? How are we supposed to do that? You're from the Northeast, our Second Bro is from the Northwest, and I'm from the Southwest. We're completely clueless in Jinling! How the hell are we going to find him?" Wang Dalu pointed out logically.

"We'll get Wolf Bro next door. Didn't he say he's a Jinling local? We'll have him take us," Zhu Houqing suggested.

"Right, let's get Li Yunzhe. No time to waste! Let's go!" Hearing this, Li Qiuzhe immediately made the decision. He hurriedly slipped on a jacket and yanked the door open, the three of them rushing out.

Outside Room 709, Li Qiuzhe pounded on the door in his haste.

BANG, BANG, BANG—!

"Shit! Who is it?! Are you trying to keep people from sleeping?!" Li Yunzhe roared, leaping down from the top bunk. "Hey, you on bed one! Yeah, you! Get up and open the damn door! Who is this bastard knocking at this ungodly hour?! If there's no good reason for this, we'll get 'em!"

The other occupants of Room 709 were filled with silent contempt at his words. You're a slave to the guys in 708, yet here you are putting on airs in front of us? What a joke! But given Wolf Bro's fierce aura, none of them dared to talk back.

The student on bed one groggily yawned, rolled over, and reluctantly pulled the door open. "Who is it?"

WHOOSH—!

Without a word, Li Qiuzhe barged in like a country bumpkin.

"Bro—Bro Qiuzhe! It's you guys! Oh my god! Honored guests, truly honored guests! Quick, turn on the lights, turn on the lights! Let's sing 'A Ray of Friendship's Light' to welcome my Bros Qiuzhe, Houqing, and Dalu!" Seeing Li Qiuzhe and the others enter, Li Yunzhe's drowsiness vanished. He jumped off his bed, overjoyed and fawning endlessly.

"Cut the crap! Get dressed and come with us," Li Qiuzhe snapped, giving him an anxious, stern look.

"Bro Qiuzhe, wh-what's going on?" Seeing the urgency on their faces, Li Yunzhe didn't dare fool around any longer. He started pulling on his clothes as he spoke.

"Just get dressed and follow us, now!" Li Qiuzhe threw out the command before turning to lead Zhu Houqing and Wang Dalu back out of the room.

A moment later in the stairwell, Li Yunzhe hurried down in large strides to catch up. "Bros, what's going on?" he asked anxiously, chasing after the three from Room 708.

"Our Fourth Bro is missing," Li Qiuzhe said, walking briskly. "He still isn't back, won't answer his phone or reply to texts. We've looked all over campus and can't find him. You're a local, so you know this area! Take us around to find him. Let's check the bars and places like that, see if he's there."

What the hell? Big Bro Qin Fan is missing?

Although he was terrified of Qin Fan, Li Yunzhe still furrowed his brow in concern. He should have been gloating, but he didn't feel any pleasure from the news. Instead, he started to feel anxious, too. Maybe this is a classic case of Stockholm syndrome! And it's only been two days!

"Jinling is huge! There have to be dozens of bars near the university alone. H-how are we supposed to find him?!" Li Yunzhe stammered, a note of panic in his voice.

"We'll do our best and leave the rest to fate. Without news of our Fourth Bro, none of us can sleep peacefully tonight! Enough talk, let's hurry!" Li Qiuzhe said, shaking his head as he jogged toward the dormitory's main entrance.

Fortunately, the dorm hadn't started its official lockdown yet. Otherwise, getting out would have been a real hassle.

「In a dazzlingly chaotic bar.」

Qin Fan sat at the bar, downing one high-proof drink after another. A flush of intoxication began to spread across his handsome face.

From a Cultivator's perspective, it was impossible for him to get truly drunk. But as the saying goes: the liquor doesn't intoxicate the man, the man intoxicates himself. His consciousness remained razor-sharp and his mind perfectly clear. Yet, from his complexion alone, Qin Fan looked completely drunk to any onlooker.

"Shit, this little bastard can really hold his liquor! Motherfucker, how the hell did you train for this?" People were now crowding around Qin Fan. Although the thumping dance music continued, many were stunned by the sheer number of empty glasses on the bar top in front of him.

Damn it! You don't even drink beer like that!

Qin Fan ignored the surrounding voices. He tilted his head back, downed another glass, and repeated to the bartender, "Another."

Hearing Qin Fan's perfectly clear articulation, the bartender was stunned. He can drink this much and be fine? Shit, what is this guy made of? This is fucking terrifying!

"Are you sure you're okay to keep drinking like this?" the bartender couldn't help but ask.

"Yeah, just chasing away some blues. It's no problem," Qin Fan said, shaking his head. A faint smile touched his slightly flushed, handsome face.

With his disposition, it was impossible for him to fall into a state of obsession so easily. The only reason he hadn't returned to the dorm and was letting the phone in his pocket ring unanswered was because he wanted some quiet time. To an ordinary person, seeking tranquility in a place like this would seem fucking absurd. But to a cultivator, the more clamorous and chaotic the environment, the easier it was to quiet the mind.

"Hey, I'm talking to you! Are you deaf? Or are you just trying to play the big shot?" Hearing no response to his question, the large bald man's face soured, and he barked coldly.

Few of the people who frequented such wild places were good-natured. You could imagine how humiliated the bald man felt being ignored like that.

"Get lost," Qin Fan said coolly and dismissively. He took the next glass from the bartender, swirling the liquid inside as he shook his head.
