The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 174 - 171: Yes, It Was Me Who Did It!
If looks could kill, Ji Yuchen’s glare would have riddled Ye Haoyuan with fatal wounds.
It was so hard to find an opportunity to be alone with Qin Fan. What was this shameless jerk doing, barging in like this? What the hell?
Sensing the malice in the young woman’s eyes, Qin Fan secretly breathed a sigh of relief. He was glad Ye Haoyuan had shown up; otherwise, he truly wouldn’t have known how to face Ji Yuchen in her current state.
Hearing Qin Fan call him "Brother Haoxuan," Ye Haoyuan couldn’t help but blush. Embarrassment was the only thing he felt at that moment. He coughed awkwardly before saying, "Idol, can you please not call me Brother Haoxuan? It makes me nervous, really rattles my heart!"
"Alright, I won’t call you that anymore. Come on, spit it out! Don’t be so coy!" Qin Fan chuckled.
"Idol, the word in the Martial World is that you made that poser Qin Shuai pay double the price for land at Fushan Yunju—did that really happen?" Licking his lips and chuckling, Ye Haoyuan leaned forward slightly and asked earnestly.
Beside them, Ji Yuchen was taken aback. Qin Fan drove up the price on Qin Shuai? And made him pay double for the land? H-how is that possible? How could Qin Fan dare to confront Qin Shuai directly? Does he have a death wish? Her widened phoenix eyes fixed on Qin Fan’s calm demeanor as she anxiously awaited his response.
"Yeah, that’s what happened. Why?" Qin Fan admitted with a casual nod. It wasn’t something he could hide anyway.
"Holy shit! Idol, you’re awesome!" Ye Haoyuan exclaimed, giving him a thumbs-up.
Ripping someone off for several billion, and that someone being the poser Qin Shuai... At this point, Ye Haoyuan could no longer contain his overflowing admiration. He leaned in and continued in a low voice, "Also, idol, I heard someone crippled one of Qin Shuai’s legs at Seventh Space last night. Do you know anything about that?"
"You’re asking if I had something to do with it, right?" Qin Fan raised an eyebrow with a smirk. "That’s right. I did it."
As he finished speaking, both Ye Haoyuan and Ji Yuchen froze, their mouths agape.
After a moment of silence, they regained their composure. Ji Yuchen spoke first, her voice frantic with panic. "Qin Fan, have you lost your mind?! Don’t you know who Qin Shuai is? Have you thought about the consequences? You’re insane, absolutely insane! You’re joking, right? You have to be!"
Joking? Vaguely sensing what was going through her mind, Qin Fan simply shook his head with a faint, inscrutable smile, offering no further explanation.
Ye Haoyuan, however, grew restless. Although the Qin family wasn’t in the same league as his Ye Family, the idea of crippling one of Qin Shuai’s legs was something even they would have to think twice about. It wasn’t just a matter of dropping all pretenses; it was a symbol of outrageous bullying. Yet Qin Fan had first scammed Qin Shuai out of billions, then crippled his leg and branded him for life. Whatever their feud was about, his actions showed utter contempt for the entire Qin family!
At this thought, Ye Haoyuan quickly interjected, "Idol, so what’s the Qin family saying about this? Do you need me to go back and talk to my dad and the old man? The Qin family might not be all that, but once they get vicious, they really have a few tricks up their sleeves!"
"No need. You just focus on being a good Brother Haoxuan," Qin Fan said with a smile, shaking his head. "You don’t need to get involved in my affairs."
"Qin Fan, how did you provoke Qin Shuai? You... doing this... have you thought about the consequences?" Ji Yuchen, whose lovely face had turned deathly pale during their conversation, asked with great concern.
"The worst that can happen is death. What other consequences could there be? Besides, everyone in Jiangzhou knows about the grudge between the Qin family and me. Even if I die, crippling Qin Shuai will have been worth it! Haha!" Qin Fan laughed wildly, putting on the reckless, devil-may-care act of someone with nothing left to lose.
Just as he finished speaking, a waiter approached with a tray of food and began placing the dishes Ji Yuchen had ordered on the table one by one.
"Alright, that’s enough talk. Let’s eat," Qin Fan said calmly, cutting off whatever Ji Yuchen and Ye Haoyuan were about to say next. He then picked up his chopsticks and began to eat.
Watching Qin Fan’s carefree and leisurely demeanor, Ji Yuchen’s heart was in turmoil, knotted with worry for him.
As for Ye Haoyuan, the fire of admiration in his eyes burned even brighter. He wasn’t an idiot. His earlier offer of support was just a slip of the tongue. How could a mere Qin family really pose a threat to an idol whom even his grandfather and father treated with reverence, addressing him as "Patriarch Qin"? When he thought about how the Qin family had kicked Qin Fan out and publicly disowned him, Ye Haoyuan, the notorious number one hedonistic young demon, couldn’t help but feel a sense of schadenfreude. This face-slapping drama was just getting started! Imagining what might happen next, Young Master Ye, who always loved to stir up trouble, began to look forward to it with great anticipation.
Ji Yuchen fell silent, her worried gaze fixed on Qin Fan, who was heartily enjoying his meal. For her, the delicacies on the table had lost all their flavor.
As her mind raced with anxious thoughts, the sudden ringing of the cell phone in her pocket shattered the mood.
"Hello, Mom? What’s up?" Ji Yuchen asked, answering the call without trying to hide it from Qin Fan and Ye Haoyuan.
"Why aren’t you home yet? I’ve made dinner and I’m waiting for you. Hurry back, okay?" Yan Huixian’s affectionate, smiling voice came over the line.
"Uhm, Mom, I’m eating with a classmate, so I won’t be coming home. You and Aunt Wang can go ahead and eat," Ji Yuchen said. Because of the turmoil in her heart, her tone was noticeably different from usual.
"Dining out with a classmate? With whom?" Yan Huixian couldn’t help but ask, her gaze falling upon the table at home laden with all of Ji Yuchen’s favorite dishes.
Blushing, Ji Yuchen glanced at Qin Fan. Lacking any talent for lying, she couldn’t bring herself to deceive her mother. After a brief pause, she answered truthfully, "With Qin Fan."
On the other end of the line, Yan Huixian froze upon hearing the name. Qin Fan? Then, her heart filled with wild joy. The image of Qin Fan displaying his heaven-defying power at the Lingnan Fengshui Association flooded back into her mind. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
Taking several deep breaths to calm her emotions, she said, "Yuchen, don’t eat out. Mom has prepared all your favorite foods. Bring your classmate Qin Fan home to eat with us!"
"Mom?" Ji Yuchen asked, completely dumbfounded. Bring Qin Fan home for dinner? Was this really her mother talking? She was baffled, truly baffled!
"I’ve given you the chance, so it’s up to you now!" Dropping this sentence, Yan Huixian hung up the phone.
Ji Yuchen remained frozen in her seat, her face flushed crimson. Her mother’s words echoed ceaselessly in her mind. I’ve given you the chance. What did that mean? What on earth did that mean? The more she thought about it, the redder her face became.
"Hey, Miss Ji, what’s wrong?" Ye Haoyuan asked curiously, seeing her sudden change in demeanor.
"Ah! N-nothing, nothing at all!" Ji Yuchen stammered, jolting back to her senses. But the blush on her face only deepened, spreading all the way to the tips of her ears.
Biting her lip and ignoring Ye Haoyuan’s presence, she seemed to muster all her courage. Looking at Qin Fan, she said shyly, "Qin Fan... my mom told me to bring you home for dinner!"
