The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 106 - 103: Too Bullying!
"No, no, no!"
When his face was less than ten centimeters from the grill, He Xinyi finally broke. He screamed wildly! At that moment, he didn’t dare to gamble any longer. It was as if he’d just slapped his own face. Not long before, he had boasted that Qin Fan’s psychopathic antics wouldn’t work on him, but as the nightmare of disfigurement loomed, he lost his nerve completely.
Ignoring He Xinyi’s cries, Qin Fan continued to press his head down. When there were only five centimeters left, and he could smell the pungent, acrid scent of his facial hair beginning to singe, He Xinyi abandoned all pride. "I’ll lick it! I’ll lick it! I swear I’ll lick it!"
Qin Fan’s hand froze. He shook his head with a disdainful chuckle. Grabbing He Xinyi by the hair, he yanked his head up and tossed him toward the trash can. "Pick it up," he said. "Lick it clean, and then eat it!"
The words sent a shockwave through the crowd. Every student, including Ji Yuchen, stood frozen in shock. This was taking things way too far! It wasn’t enough that he had to lick the ashes clean—now he had to eat the half-cooked barbecue that had been tossed in the trash?
"Qin Fan, you—" Ji Yuchen’s face turned pale as she tried to intervene.
But Qin Fan cut her off before she could finish. "I said this was a one-time exception! Acting tough comes with a price. Unfortunately for him, he ran into a psychopath! A madman who was going to teach him a lesson!"
Hearing this, Ji Yuchen’s lips parted and closed, but ultimately, she said nothing. If He Xinyi had begged for mercy, perhaps she could have interjected. But since he hadn’t, what could she possibly say?
Already on the verge of collapsing from fear of the grill and having been violently thrown aside by Qin Fan, He Xinyi was now a pathetic sight on the ground. A tidal wave of endless humiliation crashed over him. His ferocious gaze burned with hatred. At that moment, all he wanted was to tear Qin Fan, the man who had inflicted this shame upon him, limb from limb.
But the last shred of sanity screamed at him to endure.
Recalling how close he had just come to being disfigured, what choice did he have? None!
Gritting his teeth and closing his eyes, he took a deep breath. He reached toward the trash can and pulled out the piece of meat.
"Young Master He!"
"Xinyi!"
"Xinyi!"
Suddenly, the other students cried out in unison. Was he really going to eat it? It wasn’t just unhygienic; it was the ultimate humiliation!
"You can skip the licking. Just eat it," Qin Fan said with a cold smile. He had given the guy one chance after another, but he had mistaken kindness for weakness and used it as fuel for his own arrogance. For an ant like this, I can’t think of a single reason not to crush him.
"Qin Fan, you’re going too far!" He Xinyi snapped his head around, nearly biting through his lip. His eyes and chest swelled with hatred and fury as he roared at Qin Fan.
"Going too far?" Qin Fan heard the words and laughed. Who was the one really going too far here? "So what if I am? Heh," he sneered, a corner of his mouth twisting up in contempt.
"Haha, fine! Fine! FINE! I’ll eat! I’ll eat it!" He Xinyi suddenly threw his head back and laughed like a madman, a vicious glint in his eyes. Gripping the filthy piece of meat with both hands, he locked his venomous gaze on Qin Fan and began to devour it in huge, messy bites.
To Qin Fan, however, that defiant, hateful stare was utterly laughable.
Would an elephant care about the venomous hatred of an ant? Would the Shura Venerable care about retaliation from a mere mortal? Of course not.
After a few heavy chews and gulps, He Xinyi had devoured the entire piece of barbecue. He picked up a napkin, wiped his mouth and hands, and rose to his feet without another word. He didn’t look at Ji Yuchen, at Qin Fan, or at any of the other students. A sinister, cold aura emanated from him as he strode away without looking back.
With He Xinyi’s departure, the rooftop fell so silent you could hear a pin drop. The students stared in the direction he had disappeared, unable to process what had just happened. Tears welled up in Ji Yuchen’s eyes.
Why did a perfectly good birthday party have to turn out like this? Was it really a mistake to invite Qin Fan?
"Hmph. Qin Fan, you’re really something else!" a female voice suddenly rang out. A few girls walked over to Ji Yuchen, and their leader, Ge Yabing, stared coldly at Qin Fan. "To humiliate even Young Master He Xinyi like this... Heh... I don’t know if you’re ignorant or just fearless! I hope you don’t regret what you did tonight!"
"Oh, I’m nothing special," Qin Fan said, his icy demeanor suddenly replaced by a broad, taunting grin. "As for regrets... Heh. A man with nothing to lose has no reason to fear a man who has everything. As long as they don’t kill me, what’s to stop me from strapping on a bomb on New Year’s Eve and crashing their family dinner for a free meal if they push me too far? Sounds pretty sweet, doesn’t it? Haha, if I take one of them with me, I break even. If I take two, I come out ahead. And I’m sure it’ll be more than two, so it’d be a huge profit, right?"
In truth, with his power, wiping out an entire family would be effortless. But when dealing with these pretentious students, he didn’t mind playing a few mind games and scaring them a little.
As expected, his words made the faces of most students drain of color. They didn’t dare disbelieve the madman’s threat. What kind of volatile reaction would you get from mixing a desperate man with nothing to lose, a fearless attitude, and a streak of insanity? No one dared to imagine just how crazy Qin Fan could be.
"Qin Fan, are you threatening us?" Ge Yabing, who was close to Ji Yuchen, asked with her brow furrowed.
"If you want to interpret it as a threat, I can’t stop you, can I? The situation is what it is. To all the young masters and misses here, just think it over carefully," Qin Fan said with a leisurely grin.
"Alright, alright, that’s enough of this nonsense! Today is Yuchen’s birthday. Let’s get out your presents and celebrate!" Xu Jiayi, who had her arm linked with Ji Yuchen’s, quickly stepped in to smooth things over.
She was the one who used to act as an informant for He Haolin, feeding him information in a misguided attempt to set him up with Yuchen. She had genuinely believed it was for her friend’s own good, especially since He Haolin was the son of the municipal party secretary and seemed utterly devoted to Yuchen. But after He Haolin’s unexpected death in a car crash, her attitude toward Qin Fan, whom she once despised, had done a complete one-eighty. Her words now were not just meant to smooth things over; they were also a clear attempt to help Qin Fan out of his predicament.
After speaking, she gave Qin Fan a graceful smile and a wink, which he found rather intriguing.
Following Xu Jiayi’s lead, the other students gradually recovered from their panic. Not daring to look at Qin Fan any longer, they went to the side, picked up the gifts they had prepared, and approached Ji Yuchen one by one.
