The Rejected Alpha's Vengeance-Chapter 559: When The Sun Goes Down, I’ll Be Here
[HAWI]
"Am I? You should have not been a good fighter then. You shouldn’t have embraced the alpha position. As a matter of fact, you should have let your brother take the alpha position, because he was a man and stronger, right?" Islinda said provokingly.
"You must be high on shit. When the fuck did this turn into some fucking gender war? Is this the same brain you use to govern your people? No wonder most of us are fucked up in the head," Hawi asked like this was the most ridiculous of things that she had ever heard.

For a moon goddess, Islinda seemed dumb as hell which was the profile Hawi had had of the most powerful women in the universe. Surely there had to be a mistake somewhere, right?
Or maybe Islinda was playing games with her and wanted to see what Awuor Hawi would do. That in itself begged the question of what Hawi would really do when all of this was over.
Perhaps she wouldn’t be alone again? Or maybe she wouldn’t have to deal with the loss of her mate? What if anything the woman was talking about was true? Would life change for Hawi or would it be a fate worse than she already endured this time?
"Easy to shift the blame, yeah? Perhaps that makes you feel better about the failure you have managed to be your entire life, no?" Islinda taunted, hoping to get a different reaction from Hawi.
The way that the broken Sicario girl was composed was making the moon goddess uneasy and it was terrifying, to say the least. Hawi was always the one who did things without thinking. She was always the risk-taker who somehow had fate on her side.
Islinda needed her to be that broken self and yet this wild Sicario girl was proving to be something else. What the fuck was she even supposed to do with a girl who was too strong even after all the losses she had dealt with over the years?
"Shut the fuck up and get me out of this place. Enough with your games or you might just lose your precious realm," Hawi warned in earnest. She had just had enough of the shit the woman was handing her and needed to be out of there.
Perhaps that’s why it was so easy for her to stare at the moon goddess with a bored face. This woman before her was the one person that many worshipped and yet Hawi had nothing but spite for her. It was amazing and terrifying at the same time.
"It’s always so easy for you to turn back and argue. Always so easy for you to leave because you think everyone else can do the job that you have been doing right? You say you’re hurt and you forget that the people around you are hurting too.
"Your friends trusted you, and you left them behind in the name of mourning, when in reality the only thing you ever did was go to have fun in Hernia. You went to forget everything that screamed home, because you were too much of a coward to hit the roads back, right?
"That’s why you are here, hoping I can tell you that the woman in Hernia isn’t your mate, because you don’t know how to face her yet. You’re scared that she might ask questions whose answers you just don’t have yet…
"Or is it because you are scared of hearing the reason why she chose to sacrifice herself so you’re buying yourself time even though you and I both know that the only one who can make things work for you is simply myself, right?
"Oh Hawi. There are so many options for you… Or maybe you have loved being free from the bonds of the mate bond that you don’t want to be held down again, hmm?" the moon goddess taunted and Hawi was so close to losing her shit.
Hawi hated the tone the woman was using, and how careless she sounded. For a woman who had billions to listen to, she was doing a really good job of making the one informed of her feel a lot of pain.
The only thing that was standing between Hawi and the moon goddess’s neck was the Savasci knights. She down they would pay the price for what she did to the woman and that was the only grace that the crazy Islinda needed to be thankful for.
"You talk too much," Hawi got up and tried to create a portal out of there.
She did know where the portal would lead her but she couldn’t stand the sight of the women they had all prayed to, the woman who had created them. She couldn’t handle the ridicule in their voice because this was the one woman that even she couldn’t kill.
If she eliminated her then the realm would pay the price for her decision and while Hawi hated the moon goddess with all that she had and didn’t have, that was a fate she couldn’t condemn all those people to.
Her heart was once again leading her and it was in the right direction this time. That was the only solace for her, otherwise, everyone would have been up in smoke with the way the crazy woman was testing her patience.

"Running away as always. I just told you that you have an offspring and your first thought is to run away? You’re pathetic, goodness," Islinda taunted and Hawi felt her chest tighten. This woman was screwing with her and it wasn’t fair.
Kids were not prizes to be dangled that easily and yet Island was playing the long game with Hawi who was not even sure there was a truth to anything anymore. She wanted answers and this woman was obviously not willing to give them to her.
There was just no way that she had an offspring that she didn’t know about. She had been with Ruru alone and there was never much between them. They had always planned to have their kids once the war was over.
And yet when the war ended, Hawi had lost the spark in her life. She had lost the woman who made anything make sense and everything had gotten grey just like that. In an instant, her world was reduced to blend nothingness. So, this was just not okay on any level.
"What the fuck do you want from me, Islinda? We both know I am as pathetic, so why the fuck are you holding me here? Why do you go to your precious queen and have her settle whatever it is you are looking to settle?
"What the fuck is it that has you focused solely on me? The werewolf kingdom already has a queen and she is clearly very loyal to you, so what the fuck, Islinda?" Hawi asked frustratedly.
She was smart enough to know that the moon goddess wouldn’t risk bringing her here just for theatrics.
The woman had to have a different agenda with Hawi and it was frustrating the hell out of Hawi right now. It could have been easier if the woman had just gone ahead and told her what it was, she wanted first-hand instead of all these crazy stunts.
