The Record Of Barton's Fantastical Events-Chapter 62
Chapter 62: Chapter 28 Goal
Mr. Herman, who submitted the request again, did not just drop off Zach at some random location but returned to the warehouse area at the end of Becky Street. Zach got out of the car and stretched his somewhat paralyzed back. Although Mr. Hermann’s limo was very comfortable, not all mirrors were the same as the mirrors of Benjamin’s van. Zach had to be very careful about where he sat and even moved…
When returning to Warehouse No. 13, the yellow and white cordon still sealed off the scene, but most of the police had already left. Detective James and Detective Coulson were still having a conversation outside the warehouse. No, they were arguing. No, it was Detective Coulson’s unilaterally ‘scolding’ James!
Zach was in a good mood because it wouldn’t take long for Revenge’s appearance to be determined, and James, who had interacted with the hunter, could no longer get away from it. Instead of being found out, it was better than clarifying in advance.
“Why didn’t you tell me!” Coulson waved his arms furiously: “Do you know how dangerous this is! That is the murderer group! And you should tell me earlier! I am your partner! …”
Zach listened to Coulson from a distance and got into the truck. Zach probably guessed what excuse James used to get rid of his suspicion. At this point, Zach’s goal has been achieved, forcing James to face his own guilt, constantly moving toward the values that he hoped him to have, and letting the hunter bear the name of the murderer!
Zach drove Benjamin’s truck towards the [Back Bay] where [Fenway Stadium] is located. The northern part of Back Bay lies on the Charles River, which connects the Northern District and Western District of Barton. As he carried on moving south from Back Bay, leaving the area where the middle-class citizens of Barton live, in the direction of the Charles River to the south, there is a tributary from [Newton City] called [Passing River], which is quite obvious what it means: The river that passes by. It got its name when Barton was just founded, and it was one of the roads leading from Newton City to the slightly bustling Northern District of Barton City at that time.
Because Barton used to be a barren place, a place no one wanted to stay. Therefore it has such a name.
The Passing District on both sides of the Passing River is at the junction of the Northern and Southern Districts, and its west is close to the border of Newton City. Such a location has made its development unsatisfactory. Moreover, there are indeed a large number of low-income families here.
Gale’s home is here.
What Zach said to Mr. Hermann was not entirely true. At least hunters are not a group of people that will expose themselves easily. At first, the vampire thought it would take some time to find Connor’s body, and a salvage team might be needed. Unexpectedly, Connor was left in the warehouse like a discarded waste.
Zach could only think that it was Gale’s parents who did it. They were unwilling to let their son’s body disappear in this world twice without a trace. They made Connor appear there and let people discover it. Therefore, now Zach decided to visit these two Inans.
The houses in Passing District are small single-family buildings, but they are obviously different from the residential areas of Back Bay (Younger Sister of Cologne) and Norr Beach (David). They have broken fences with paints that are peeling off, and dust-covered trucks that are randomly on the side of the road…
Zach stopped the truck and walked on the road between the houses. The flashing street lights made the shadow of the vampire dance back and forth on the ground. Although most mailboxes in front of the porch are covered with rust, and it is not easy to identify them, it’s not difficult to find Gale’s home. The vampire stretched out a finger, while walking along the crooked front yard fence, he moved his finger close to the fence.
Sizzles…
When the vampire’s finger crossed the fence in front of a house, it burned without warning, and the gray ashes peeled off from the vampire’s finger and dissipated into the air in the red flame. ƒ𝓇e𝙚𝔀𝐞𝚋𝓃𝐨𝘷e𝙡.𝒄𝗼m
The vampire stopped in front of the house, retracted his finger, and knocked on the doorbell on the fence. The scorched finger recovered at a speed visible to the naked eye. The vampire took out a square metal bottle from the pocket of his coat, unscrewed the lid, and took a sip with his head up.
The lamp was lit in the house painted with gray paint, and the sound of footsteps crossed the porch and entered the ears of the vampire. Zach put away his ‘bottle’ and waited quietly.
The door of the front porch was opened slightly. A man in his fifties had a deeper outline than an ordinary person in the federation, and his thick and straight eyebrows had a mixed grey colour. His eyelids were droopy, and there was a deep dark colour on his lower eye circles.
Across the overgrown, three-meter front yard, the man’s voice was low and deep: “Who are you looking for.”
Zach didn’t speak, his light green eyes instantly turned bright red, and then faded.
The man’s eyelids lifted completely, but he didn’t seem surprised, “I won’t invite you in, what do you want.”
“Coordinator Gale.” Zach looked at the man and took out a piece of oil paper from the inside of his coat: “Can’t the person who saved Ryan even get an invitation?”
Coord (abbreviated) stared at the greased paper on the vampire’s hand, and a woman’s voice came from the room behind him: “Let him in.”
The man sighed, nodded, beckoned to the vampire, leaving the front door open and walked back into the house.
Zach pushed open the fence that was not locked at all, stepped into the front yard, and closed the door after entering the house of Gale.
The inside of the house is much warmer than it looks from the outside, but there are various photos on the fireplace used for decoration. There is a family photo with Ryan wearing a rugby uniform. In front of the sofa covered with thread-woven blankets and on the wooden coffee table, a woman brought steaming tea.
“Don’t worry, it’s not good for me to poison you.” The woman who had met with Lola once in the [Fenway Stadium] players’ lounge looked at the vampire who was staring at the tea, and said coldly.
Spell Gale pulled the shawl over her shoulders, and sat across from Zach with her husband.
“Has Ryan been found?” Spell asked, staring at her fingers that turned pale because of her force.
“Found it.” Zach was not going to touch the tea in front of him. “Moreover, Revenge’s identity will be discovered soon. I think both of you know why I am here. ”
“We don’t know where he is.” Coord’s raised eyebrows squeezed out four or five wrinkles on his forehead: “What do you want to do?”
Zach’s mouth curled up, “They attacked the Grande family, what do you think I want to do?”
“You won’t!” Coord stared at the vampire: “You won’t touch my son!”
Zach looked at the man with some pity, then at the family photo on the fireplace beside him: “Your son? I didn’t see his picture. Is Revenge also a vampire like me? ”
Zach’s taunt made the man opposite angry. His big and thick palm slapped the wooden coffee table, making light blue tea sway in the cup, splash out of the tea cup, and turning a faint white mist between the two.
“Enough!” Spell tightened her shawl, “We don’t know where he is! This is a fact, do not use what you want to do to test us, we are not going to look for attention at Barton like you!”
Zach’s gaze returned to the woman, thought for a moment, stood up and then bowed to both people, “the Grande family will take care of Ryan. Things are different now. You have opened the door to me, and we will welcome both of you to visit the Grande family at any time.”
Did the vampire get the permission of the two to deal with Revenge according to his plan? No, he did not. But he got the other party’s permission to ignore all this, and the vampire’s goal was achieved again.
