Chapter 255: Chapter 255: The Dark Division Training (2)_1

After hearing what Situ Xin had to say, both Xia Yujie and Liu Yuxiang were taken aback. It wasn’t until Situ Xin had finished speaking that Liu Yuxiang found his voice and asked, "Master, are you sure this is what you want us to do?" He and Xia Yujie had thought it would be something much more significant.

"Yes, that’s it. Once you have collected everything, give me a call, and I will come to collect it. Oh, and keep this matter of collecting these items confidential for me. I don’t want others to know," Situ Xin instructed.

Liu Yuxiang and Xia Yujie nodded in agreement.

With the fruit tree matter resolved, Situ Xin breathed a sigh of relief; she could now return to her reclusive lifestyle. But while dreams are pleasant, reality is often cruel.

Just a few days after returning from Dragon Society, Situ Xin’s aunt found her. Moreover, when her aunt came to her, she didn’t speak; she just cried incessantly. And there was nothing Situ Xin dreaded more than tears, especially those of her own family.

Seeing her aunt in tears, Situ Xin quickly grabbed a tissue and handed it to her, "Auntie Lu Juan, don’t cry, please. Tell me what happened. Auntie, who’s been bullying you? Tell me, and I’ll go teach them a lesson." Situ Xin was not adept at comforting others; this was her first time in both her past and current life.

However, after hearing Situ Xin’s words, Lu Juan cried even harder. Situ Xin didn’t know what to do and couldn’t console her, so she just sat there, waiting for Lu Juan to calm down on her own.

Lu Juan herself didn’t know why she ran straight to Situ Xin after seeing that scene and becoming distraught. It was as if subconsciously, she felt that only Situ Xin could help her with this matter.

As Lu Juan’s emotions began to stabilize somewhat, she said to Situ Xin, "Baby, maybe after today, I won’t be your aunt anymore." She began to cry again as she spoke.

When Situ Xin heard Lu Juan’s words, her heart skipped a beat; she knew that something must have happened between her aunt and uncle. But just last night, the couple had seemed well when they came to visit her. And now, today, her aunt was saying this.

With a furrowed brow, Situ Xin looked at her aunt and said, "Auntie, stop crying. Crying like this won’t solve anything. First, tell me, what happened between you and my uncle?"

"Your uncle... he’s been seeing another woman. I saw it with my own eyes," Lu Juan said, and recalling the scene she had witnessed, she began crying anew.

Upon hearing her aunt’s words, Situ Xin frowned deeply. She knew her aunt would never lie, but she couldn’t believe that her uncle would be the kind of despicable man to keep a mistress. The people Situ Xin despised the most in her two lifetimes were those who had one love at home and affairs outside.

"Auntie, don’t cry. I will find out exactly what’s going on. If it turns out my uncle has wronged you, I will deal with him personally," Situ Xin assured her. Of course, what Situ Xin left unsaid was that she wouldn’t let the other woman off the hook either.

Lu Juan was not just any ordinary housewife; she was, after all, a strong businesswoman. After venting her emotions, she gradually calmed down and began to recount the incident to Situ Xin in detail.

It was this afternoon after having lunch. When Lu Juan returned to her office, her mobile phone rang. It was from an unknown number. After hesitating for a moment, she still answered the call. Just as she said, "Hello,"

a somewhat familiar voice came through, which she couldn’t quite place immediately. The person on the other end didn’t give her any time to think, and dropped a bombshell, "Do you want to know what your husband has been up to lately? If you want to know, come to the front of Broadway at one o’clock this afternoon." Without waiting for Lu Juan to respond, the call was abruptly ended.

When Lu Juan tried calling back, there was no answer.

Putting down the phone, Lu Juan sat in her office, growing more and more anxious as time ticked by. Unable to sit still any longer, she grabbed her bag and took the company car to Broadway.

Upon arriving at Broadway, she didn’t ask the driver to stop right in front but found a parking lot close enough to have a clear view of Broadway’s entrance and parked there.

Lu Juan sat in the car, constantly glancing at her watch. As the time neared one o’clock, she stared unblinkingly at the entrance of Broadway, her nerves on edge.

Soon enough, her worst nightmare unfolded before her eyes. Her husband, Loo Jianxin, emerged from Broadway, closely accompanied by another woman. They walked over to Loo’s car, and he opened the passenger door to let the woman in.

Lu Juan’s hands were clenched tight, so tight that she didn’t even feel the nails digging into her flesh. At that moment, Lu Juan still didn’t lose her composure; she picked up her phone and called her husband, Loo Jianxin.

The call was quickly answered, and with a casual tone, Lu Juan asked Loo where he was. He told her he had just finished accompanying a client and was on his way back to the office. However, it was obvious that Loo Jianxin lied to her, as the direction he drove off in was not toward his company’s office but the opposite direction.

After listening to her aunt, Lu Juan’s account, Situ Xin’s face turned grim. She felt it was wrong for her uncle to lie and deceive his wife. Moreover, to Situ Xin, lying meant there must be something shameful, something needing to be concealed, similar to her own secret space.

After a moment of silence, Situ Xin picked up her phone and called Xia Yujie. She asked Xia to check who her uncle had lunch with at Broadway that afternoon. She instructed Xia to start investigating immediately and to call her as soon as he had any results.

Lu Juan was taken aback by Situ Xin’s swift and decisive actions. If she wasn’t currently preoccupied with thoughts of her husband Loo Jianxin’s infidelity, she would have been curious about the call that Situ Xin made and asked who was being asked to investigate and how. But at that moment, such curiosity was the last thing on her mind.
