The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 421: The change in game- I
~Tristan’s POV~
The plan suggested by the little boy would work well, Tristan knew that. What surprised him was that a little boy, of barely the age of 15, had come up with it.
Diwal was a boy he had saved after Genevieve had helped him get out of the market of flesh and tried to save him. The rest, he had taken care of. She had kept him around, unknown of the fact that he was now a vampire and on his way to become her guard.
The only reason the boy was able to come up with a plan was because he had time and patience to think about it. Because he knew that whenever he would come to know about the location of where his Genevieve was, he was going to kill everyone at hand to make sure that she was safe. Consequences and planning be damned.
Diwal thought of it, told him, and his ministers, his closest friends.
It had to be tweaked for minor changes. No matter what plan he may have presented them with, it was not perfect. It had to be changed accordingly, to accommodate the two armies they had.
Yes, Tristan had decided that he was going to take the two armies to take back his queen and end the one who had been running mayhem in his life.
That bitch had taken away, his mother, had given him the absence of his father, and had now to take away his mate, his beloved.
His aunt had been listening to the entire conversation. She was someone he had also paid attention to when it was suggested that Genevieve might have run away. The scent of shock, he got from her, told him that she found it hard to believe that Genevieve had runaway.
His beloved had wanted to stay. She had been taken away. That enraged him more than anything.
The plan suggested by the boy was corrupted and carried out in the same night. The next day, most of them had left and the human army was left to catch up. In the name of the woman, whom they had already crowned the Queen in their mind, they caught up fairly quickly.
The second day, all of them were in Melenmore.
Second day; it had been a two day separation from his beloved already. Through the bond, that was only connected halfway, he could feel the fear, the anxiety, the panic and hope she felt.
He could only hope of the fucking fact that she felt strength and resilience from his side of the bond. She needed it especially when she was with her little sister.
The little girl, whom she was going to protect more than she was going to do for herself.
"Tristan,"
He looked behind him, finding his aunt with a determined expression on her face. "Yes?"
"What do you plan to do with that woman?"
"Kill her." He answered effortlessly.
Even though he was a man, and a vampire, he had been taught to spare women and children who did not have any hand in tragedy.
That woman did.
She was knee deep in every tragedy that his family had been through. His morals told him to step aside and cage her, but she had escaped, and she might do it once more and he would not give her the fucking chance to do it again.
Chiara lifted her chin, a classic sign of something she was going to say that could not sit well with anyone. "I want to be the one to capture her. I wish to see the fear on her face when she realizes that I stand in front of her, with the power to end her life in my hands. I wish to give her the same look she had when she killed your mother, and when she drove your father to insanity."
Ugly tears appear in her eyes, a sight so rare, he did not remember the last time he saw them.
"I want to be the one she sees first when she has been backed into a corner. I wish to see the same fear in her eyes that she saw in mine, when I had absolutely no power to do anything. I have to torture her, Tristan. I have to avenge my sister."
"You can have it." If she wanted to do so, she could have it. It was good for his morals anyway.
"Ask Dominic for Anastasia’s whereabouts. Join the unit going towards her, lead it." he turned away from his aunt and looked at Dawson, who was already looking at him. "Sent in my unit, I’m going to the Queens quarters."
Without waiting for anything else, he jumped up to the highest floor, landing effortlessly on the balcony. Someone landed next to him, and he knew who he was. The it was followed by another.
Vaugh and Allen.
"Do not move." Vaugh warned, as the others started to land beside them. "No matter what they do, unless she bleeds, we wait until they come inside."
He snarled in his direction. Unless she bleeds? He could make his sister bleed and watch how Vaugh reacted towards it
His ear got the sound of her resisting, the soldiers marching up, a lot of them joining through different directions before all of them came to a stop.
Silence, Christopher talking, was that a blade?
Vaugh stepped closer, testing took a step forward. The blade swished and he almost charged when he heard the choking— of a man?
The sound that followed, confirmed that it was a man who fell down. The sound of the armour, clashing, and the weight that fell, it was not Genevieve.
"It is not her." Allen confirmed. "Diwal would have interfered before she would have been injured. The blood smells of a man."
He sniffed. It did.
Was it his Genevieve that had killed a man? He scented and felt a mix of emotions coming from her. It was too many to place a finger on one.
The waiting game did not have to last any longer. The doors slammed open before they fell down, and his lips stretched into a smile. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
He stepped towards the doors, slowly coming into the light that was only lit in the main room before his eyes locked on where the cunt was holding his genevieve.
"I suggest you remove your word and your hands from her and I suggest you do it as soon as you can." While he still could, at least.
