The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 336: The change in events- I
~Royal palace of melenmore~
Estelle glanced at the empty sheets of paper in front of her, and then the sheets that were left by ser harold.
She had to review every thing in the sheets of papers in front of her. Her, the information about who supported her from which house was given. Thankfully, Ser Harold had a strong network and it only took him a few days to gather information that she needed.
It did not take a lot of time for me to understand that not many houses supported me.
This could have been easier, a lot easier if my mother was still here to support my claim to the throne. Even if Queen Anastasia was here, it would have helped me. She was a figurehead of another kingdom and her coming in to support my claim to the throne would have gathered me more allies.
It was more difficult than what I had imagined. The duties and responsibilities that my father had ignored for such a long time would now rest on my head, ready to be fulfilled. And the problem with that was, everyone expected me to carry them out in the same way my father would. A little bit of change and people would be scared of me as their Queen.
I had very little options, a little support and no experience.
I huffed before standing up and walking over to the water pitcher. A cold glass of water was needed to cool myself.
Half way through the drinks, the hair on the back of my neck store app and I was aware of the presence of someone in my room. Someone who I had not heard come in but now was close to me.
"Who are you?" Placing the glass down, I turned around to look at the strange man standing over the balcony. He had not yet entered.
"My name is Solomon." He answered. "I have been sent by your sister with a message."
message from my sister? That would not be possible because I had just sent it out and it would have taken some time for her to reply and send it back.
"You are going to be killed for Trespassing. Is there anything you would like to say before that?" I informed him as I, very calmly, walked towards the bell.
"You do not need to be afraid of me, my queen. I do not aim to bring you any harm. I shall give you the letter and take your reply to your sister."
He stepped closer to the fire outside the walls on the balcony. That was when I could see his face clearly and by no means did he look like he was a criminal or a traitor to the kingdom? He looked well, dressed like a minister would be or someone from a high ranking in the kingdom. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
How come my sister had sent someone from a higher ranking in the court of king to bring a letter to me that just contained her message?
"Who are you, Soloman?" I questioned him but did not make a move to come closer to him. "Why have you been sent by my sister?"
He smiled, a polite one it was. "Because your sister trusts me. Here it is." Bending down, he pushed the letter into the room and stepped back into the balcony and disappeared into the night. "I am standing here, whenever you’re done with the letter, slide it out of the door."
So, he didn’t disappear. Oh well.
I lowered my eyes to the letter he had slid inside the room. Yeah, walking towards it, I bend down and pick it up only to walk back without giving him my back to my writing desk.
Surprisingly, this phone did not have the Royal seal of the House of astria. I wondered why because most of her letters contained it. Tearing it open, I placed the envelope on the desk before reading what my sister had written to me.
’Estelle,
I do not know if you have received my previous letters in the correct way that I had written them but this is the only way I could send them knowing that you will receive them just as I have written them as.
In the previous letter that you sent me, believe it or not. I believe someone had intercepted because it stated clearly that you needed me and your first priority was to get me out of the country I am now in.
Yes, that was preposterous enough for me to not believe because the priority is the kingdom.
So, in light of these events, I would like to catch up to You about the recent developments and information I had sent to you in the previous letters. The kingdom of Austria has been overthrown and the reigning royal family is full of vampires, one out of which I am to marry by the end of the year. The second is, I have met with the king of the north and you can expect his help by accepting the help of the vampires only.
The king of the north is not receptive to the newcomers and his kingdom. He is friends with the vampire king and will help us when needed.
Yes, you read that correctly. However, given that there is a long story that I cannot write in these letters, I urge you to trust the vampires and the man sent with this letter, they will help us in bringing you to the throne and become the Queen. I want you to accept the help given to them.
Tristan is ready to provide us with his army and support in making you the queen of the kingdom. I urge you strongly to accept the help and power in your quest.
Please give me a positive reply in return.
Do tell me what is going on in the kingdom because I do not trust the previous letters sent to me by someone else.
Your sister, Genevive.’
