Chapter 108: The nightmare wedding - III

If I come to think about it I wondered what was a law and noble man from the kingdom of Lethoris doing hair? How was he invited to a royal wedding where only royal family members from other families and noblemen and high-ranking officials were invited?

This was bad, very bad.

If they believed him, they could kill me.

I gulped and placed the spoon on the plate. I watch the entire exchange. That men who had bought me and was going to forcefully. . Rape me was standing in front of me was bringing into the ear of the man that I had married.

What was he telling him? Would Terrence believe him? I was not spoiled of any kind!

What now? I swallowed something as my heard thudded louldy. What now!

"Your highness," Merilyn whispered into my ear, "is everything alright? You are not eating." She softly pointed out.

" Do you see him?" I pointed to where the man was standing. "The man who is standing next to Prince Terence?"

She nodded, frowning to why I was asking her such a thing.

"Main reason he is the one who had found be in a brothel and bought me." I hardly whispered informing her of the misfortune that had fallen on me and who was responsible for it.

Her eyes widened immediately as she was shocked and once again turned to look at the man. It was no shock to see that he was a noble man and was capable of spending money to buy a woman from a brothel.

"Oh my. . ." She whispered, horrified just as I was to find this man standing here in front of us and best drink something into the year of the future king and my husband.

"What if he. . "

"I know." I completed her sentence without listening to the rest of it. I knew what she was thinking as those thoughts were running into my mind equally wild as well.

I gulped as his eyes turned to me and tilted my head slightly at him. A small tilt told him I wondered what they would whisper about.

He nodded to me, his eyes conveying something entirely different.

He has told him. There was no other explanation to how the prince was behaving now. What is going to happen now?

To what extent did the man told the prince about? Had he told him how I was brought to a brothel? What was able to say to that. Or had he told him that he had actually tried to get me but if he told me that it would endanger him as well. So he would not tell the prince that which meant that I was saved from the worst part of it all.

Oh my god, my grip tightened over the cloth of my dress. What was he doing? Won’t he be in trouble for all of this? Why was he doing this?

I gulped and looked at his retreating back. Where was he going?

"Maybe he didn’t." Merilyn said, whispering in my ear, "maybe he did not say anything that we thought of. Maybe he just wanted to talk about something else."

"About what?" I spat, looking around to make sure that no one could see me acting this way. "What else could he be talking about to the prince?"

She fell quiet after I said that. She was just trying to cheer me up and I was pouring water on all her efforts but that does not matter to me as the reality was that he could have told the prince everything.

No one said anything and I sat there as everyone looked at me with a bundle full of nerves in my body. Every time The Prince look at me to talk about something I waiting with bated breath that he was going to ask me what was the man talking about first up but none of that happened.

It only scared me more.

I waited for a chance for empty allowed in tell everyone what happened but that did not happen either. Everything that I had hoped for that men could end up doing did not happen which only told me that perhaps Marilyn was right. Perhaps he had really not told anyone what had truly happened.

And all of this I had completely forgotten about the night that I had to spend with the prince. The first night of our marriage was going to be observed by three different men. They were going to be a witness to the consummation of our marriage.

Now, my nerves grew. How could I have forgotten about that?

Everyone bid farewell and congratulated us for our marriage as we walked out of the feats and people had started to live for the night. Tomorrow everyone would leave for the rhone kingdom’s or like most of them who were leaving at night.

"The queen had summoned both of us to the courtroom." The Prince quietly matar in my ear as he walked through the hallways. Now I noticed how he had not taken a straight to his chambers but to the courtroom as the hallways got more grand in nature.

I nodded. She must have wanted to make a quick announcement of sorts.

The guards open the doors for us as they bow down in front of the prince and princess. We walked into the courtroom and I noticed the absence of all ministers and noblemen. What kind of announcement was the queen going to make if there were no people belonging to the court to begin with? If you wanted to address it alone she could have done it privately. Perhaps one of the rooms is meant for family talking.

But she did not because I noticed the man standing next to her and my father.

The same me who had got me through a brothel and had tried to force me into that was standing in between them, smiling at me.
