The People's God: Sacrificing Trillions to Ascend-Chapter 683 - Controlled by Han Wu’s Fear
Han Wu was stunned when he saw the figure. He was certain that no extra clones of him existed anywhere in this world. Yet the mastermind standing before him looked exactly like him. It couldn't be that his parents, who had gone missing in the Chaotic Starfield, had somehow left him a younger brother in the Giant Shadow Civilization.
"Who are you?" Han Wu asked.
The mastermind's expression grew complicated at the question. Fear flickered across his face, followed by pride and indifference. There was also a faint trace of resentment beneath it all.
The Origin of Mutation and Umbral Mouse approached and noticed Han Wu standing among the giants.
"Whoa, am I seeing things? Why is Master everywhere?" The Umbral Mouse looked at Han Wu, then at the Origin of Mutation, and finally at the other Han Wu. Her brain struggled to process what she was seeing.
The Origin of Mutation chuckled. "Vessel, did you fool around in the Giant Shadow Civilization and make another copy of yourself?"
It was a casual remark, but it triggered a realization in Han Wu’s mind. In an instant, he understood where the other Han Wu had come from.
"You're Kokkai Hanwu!" Han Wu shouted.
Kokkai Hanwu finally spoke. "Then who are you? Why do you look like him?"
The him Kokkai Hanwu was referring to was, of course, his own body.
The nine Giant Sages had seized Kokkai Hanwu's flesh and blood, yet none of them considered themselves to be Kokkai Hanwu.
Han Wu's expression grew serious. From Kokkai Hanwu's words, he gathered several crucial clues. He could say with certainty that the body before him belonged to him, but the soul inside had been replaced. When he combined that realization with the fact that Kokkai Hanwu could control the Sundering giants, the answer became obvious.
Han Wu looked at Kokkai Hanwu and smiled kindly. To Kokkai Hanwu, however, that smile felt anything but kind. It was chilling.
"Stop making that face. Tell me, who exactly are you?" Kokkai Hanwu demanded.
Every move he made released a wave of pressure that Han Wu knew all too well. It was the pressure of the Will of the Civilization.
At that moment, everything became clear to Han Wu. That explained why the attacks of the Will of the Giant Shadow Civilization had spared his own units. The body the Will had seized originally belonged to him. Naturally, the pressure wouldn't hurt his own kin.
Everything now made perfect sense.
Han Wu’s mood brightened. "You don't know who I am? Then what should I call you? The Maw Giant? The Assault Giant? It seems that after being away for so long, the two of you have forgotten the rules I set!” 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
When Han Wu said that, the Maw and the Assault Giants occupying Kokkai Hanwu shivered uncontrollably.
"It's him. He's back. That demon is back!" the Maw Giant said with certainty.
"A mere human? What's there to fear?” the Armor Giant said confidently. Its strength ranked near the top among the nine Giant Sages. “If I make a move, I can crush him with one hand!"
The Maw and Assault Giants quickly signaled for him to stay quiet, afraid that Han Wu would somehow sense their thoughts.
"There's no need to be so afraid. All nine of us Giant Sages are here right now. Are we really going to lose to one tiny human?" the Giant Giant grumbled.
The Maw and Assault Giants immediately remembered their previous battle with Han Wu. At that time, he had taken them down as easily as if they were children.
However, the situation had changed. All nine Giant Sages had gathered together, and they had even merged with part of the Will of the Giant Shadow Civilization. They had to be the strongest force within this civilization.
The Maw and Assault Giants considered this carefully. It was time to confront their fear.
In the next moment, the nine Giant Sages united and unleashed the most powerful pressure the Giant Shadow Civilization could produce.
Under that pressure, the sea rolled backward and the dark clouds scattered from the sky. Energy gathered around Kokkai Hanwu and took shape, forming a giant that towered 10,000 meters into the sky.
The giant bore the combined features of the Giant Sages. Heavy armor covered its entire frame. Beneath it, powerful muscles released heat comparable to magma. Its arms were incredibly long, reaching past its knees. Thick bone plating protected both its claws and face.
The giant raised its hand. Endless Bone Energy gathered in its palm, forming a boulder weighing five tons, and it hurled the boulder. Midair, it shattered into countless fist-sized chunks of rock that rained down toward Han Wu and the others with unstoppable force.
"Is this your answer?" Han Wu asked calmly. "Then I suppose I must remind you what it's like to be under my control again."
Han Wu activated his Demon King Transformation. A wave of power spread outward and shattered the stone shrapnel before they could reach him.
This was only the beginning. Han Wu followed with Black Dragon King Transformation. A terrifying aura blanketed the entire sky and plunged it into complete darkness.
The ninjas on the island trembled in fear, especially the two Sages who had chosen not to fight earlier. If they had actually made a move, not even their corpses would have remained.
When Han Wu used Black Dragon King Transformation, the Umbral Mouse jumped into his shadow on her own and activated a series of support spells that elevated Han Wu’s strength to a new level.
Darkness stained the sea, the sky, the earth, and even the surrounding space. It engulfed the entire world.
The Nine Giant Sages felt the overwhelming aura and hesitated. They had believed that their fusion would make them invincible within their own territory, where every advantage favored them. They had never expected that Han Wu, who had just arrived, would be even more powerful.
Meanwhile, the Origin of Mutation had snuck away to the ninja island to watch the show and protect the surrendered ninjas from the aftershocks of the fight.
It chuckled, "Looks like someone's about to have a really bad day."
At that moment, a ninja crawled toward it, looking up with admiring eyes. "Hello, I'm a medical ninja named Nan. I love anatomy. I just wanted to ask... How did you transform yourself into the same state as the White Scale Sage just by eating one scale?"
The Origin of Mutation glanced at Nan and noticed that several of Nan's organs had been artificially grafted. Without any special ability, performing such procedures was incredibly difficult.
The discovery sparked a small measure of interest.
"Who performed the surgery on you?" the Origin of Mutation asked.
Nan’s excitement only grew. "I did! I used my own clones to perform surgery on myself. Pretty successful, right?" He looked at the Origin of Mutation as if he were speaking with a colleague.
The Origin of Mutation nodded slightly and said in a slightly disinterested tone, "Not bad. Are you interested in joining me?"
Nan’s eyes lit up even more. From the moment he saw the Origin of Mutation swallow a single scale and instantly gain the White Scale Sage's abilities, he knew he had just witnessed the very goal he had been chasing his whole life.
"Yes, I want to learn from you. From today onward, you're my master," Nan replied eagerly. His eyes shone with excitement.
"Good. If you want to learn from me, I must modify you first. I will turn you into a monster. You don’t mind, do you?"
Nan’s enthusiasm only intensified when he heard that.
