The Only Spatial Ability User In The Apocalypse-Chapter 88 Mutated Wild Boar

On the highway, Major Kyle and the other ability users stood in front of the mutated creature, ready to fight.

"What kind of mutated animal is this?" Shuan uttered in a shocked voice as earth energy surged out from his body.

"It looks like a wild boar," Leo said, his body tensed.

A wild boar!

No... a mutated wild boar.

Because of mutation, the wild boar’s physique looked grotesque and intimidating.

Everyone was tense as the wild boar huffed and walked towards them slowly.

Its body was enormous, far bigger than any normal boar. Its back was hunched high, muscles bulging unnaturally beneath thick, dark hide. The coarse black fur on its body stood upright like steel needles. They could even see its twisted veins pulsing visibly beneath its skin.

Two massive curved tusks protruded from its mouth. The tusks were long and thick, and their edges were jagged as if they had been grinding against stone for years. Dark red stains could be seen on the tip of the tusks.

The mutated wild boar’s eyes were glowing red, and it looked at the people standing in front of it. It raised its nose as if trying to sniff something. Then, it lowered its massive head slightly toward the ground and snorted heavily. Its hooves scraped against the ground impatiently as if trying to sniff something out.

Even standing still, the mutated boar gave off a heavy pressure.

"What is it sniffing?" Dylan uttered as he stood vigilantly.

It pawed at the ground once more.

Crack.

The soil split under the force of its hooves, and steam burst out from its nostrils as it let out a sharp, thunderous squeal that pierced through the forest. The next second...

Boom!

The mutated wild boar charged forward. Its massive body rushed ahead like a runaway truck. Trees that stood in its path were violently knocked aside. Broken branches flew everywhere as it tore through the forest without slowing down in the slightest.

"Everyone, be careful," Major Kyle shouted as he condensed a fireball in his palm.

Boom!

The mutated wild boar charged straight at them.

The ground trembled violently under its weight. The asphalt cracked as its hooves smashed down with terrifying force.

"Spread out!" Major Kyle roared.

Shuan immediately stomped his foot onto the highway. Earth energy surged from his body, spreading across the ground like ripples.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

Thick stone walls erupted from the asphalt, rising three meters high in an instant, forming a barricade in front of the group.

The boar did not slow down.

Bang!!!

Its massive tusks slammed into the stone wall.

The entire barricade exploded.

Fragments of stone flew in all directions. Shuan’s face paled as he staggered backward.

"So strong!" he gritted through his teeth.

Before the boar could charge again...

Whoosh!

A blazing fireball shot forward.

Major Kyle’s eyes burned with focus as he thrust his palm outward. The fireball expanded mid-air, turning into a roaring mass of flames that crashed directly into the boar’s face.

Flames engulfed its head.

The mutated wild boar let out a furious squeal, shaking its head violently. But when the flames dispersed, its hide was barely burned. Only patches of fur were singed.

"What the hell..." Dylan muttered.

"It’s resistant!" Evin shouted.

The boar locked onto Major Kyle instantly.

It charged again.

Dylan roared and stepped forward instead of retreating. Veins bulged along his arms as raw strength surged through his body. His muscles expanded visibly.

He clenched both fists.

"Come!"

Boom!

The boar’s tusks collided with Dylan’s crossed arms. Dylan’s boots dug deep into the asphalt as he was pushed backward several meters. The road cracked beneath him. His teeth clenched.

"Damn... it’s heavy!"

The boar swung its head violently, and Dylan was thrown sideways like a ragdoll.

Bang!

He crashed into a nearby truck, denting the metal before dropping to the ground.

"Dylan!" Leo shouted.

Leo immediately extended his hand, soft green light covering Dylan’s body. Dylan coughed, but his broken ribs started healing.

"I’m fine!" Dylan growled as he forced himself up again.

The boar stomped forward, ready to attack again, but suddenly, thick vines burst from the ground.

Swoosh!

Serena’s eyes glowed faint green as her hands remained extended forward. The vines coiled around the boar’s legs, tightening rapidly.

More vines erupted, wrapping around its torso.

"Now!" Serena shouted.

Evin raised both arms.

Cold energy gathered instantly. Frost spread outward across the road as sharp icicles formed in mid-air, and dozens of ice spears shot forward.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

The ice spears struck the boar and immediately shattered. They couldn’t even pierce through its hide.

"So strong!" Evin uttered in disbelief.

The mutated wild boar struggled to get free from the vines, and it didn’t even care about the ice spears attacking it.

Major Kyle stepped forward again, flames roaring around both hands now.

He compressed the fire intensely, condensing it into a concentrated blazing sphere.

"Burn!"

He launched it directly at the boar’s exposed face.

BOOM!!!

A massive explosion erupted, and flames engulfed the mutated wild boar entirely. Heat waves rolled outward, and everyone retreated several steps.

After a moment, the smoke slowly cleared, but the mutated wild boar was unharmed. Only its hide was charred in places.

Its hooves scratched against the road, and its eyes turned fiery red. It was angry.

Very angry.

"Back!" Major Kyle shouted.

Boom!

The boar burst forward with even greater speed than before. Its massive body became a black blur.

"So fast!"

It went straight for Serena.

"Serena!" Shuan roared.

Before the tusks could reach her, stone pillars erupted from beneath her feet. Shuan lifted her upward just in time. The boar smashed through the stone pillar instead. Serena fell backward onto the road, barely avoiding being skewered.

The mutated wild boar spun around violently. It locked onto the group again.

"Water!" Major Kyle commanded.

The water ability user stepped forward, arms sweeping outward.

A powerful wave surged from the air itself, crashing toward the boar.

Splash!

The water slammed into the creature, slowing its momentum.

"Evin!" Major Kyle barked.

Evin immediately stepped forward, and ice energy surged again. The water instantly froze mid-flow. In seconds, the boar’s lower half became encased in thick ice.

"Good job!" Leo exclaimed.

But the celebration lasted less than a breath.

Crack...

Crack... crack...

With a violent roar, the boar flexed its legs.

Boom!!!

The ice exploded outward.

Chunks of frozen debris scattered across the battlefield.

"This thing is a monster!" Shuan cursed.

The boar charged again, this time straight toward the lower-level fire user standing slightly to the side.

The man froze in fear for a split second. That split second nearly cost him his life.

Dylan appeared like a cannonball from the side. He tackled the man away just as the boar’s tusks sliced through the space where he had been standing.

The tusks carved a deep trench into the asphalt.

Shuan slammed both hands onto the road, and earth energy poured out wildly. The entire highway began to shift. Stone spikes erupted unpredictably beneath the boar’s path, forcing it to slow down.

Deep pits opened beneath its hooves.

But the boar simply bulldozed through everything. Each spike was shattered by its iron-like tusks. Each pit was leaped over with explosive power.

Its brute strength was overwhelming.

Serena gritted her teeth and spread both hands wide.

"Entangle!"

Massive tree roots burst from the forest on both sides, snaking across the road and binding toward the boar from all directions.

They coiled around its neck, legs, and torso.

The boar squealed furiously.

It thrashed violently.

Several roots snapped instantly.

But the constant interference finally slowed it down enough.

Major Kyle condensed the fire into one point.

Flames compressed violently in his palm.

His forehead was drenched in sweat as he hurled the fire toward the boar.

The hot fireball struck directly into the boar’s eye.

BOOM!!!

A violent explosion erupted, and a horrific scream followed. One of the boar’s glowing red eyes had been destroyed.

Blood streamed down its face.

The remaining eye glowed with insane fury.

"Not good..." Evin whispered.

The boar stomped once, and the highway cracked. Then, it charged forward again with great speed. It ignored the obstacles and vines and went straight through everything.

This time, it wasn’t targeting randomly. It targeted Major Kyle. Major Kyle’s eyes narrowed.

"Everyone! All at once!" Major Kyle shouted.

Dylan roared and rushed forward again.

Shuan summoned massive stone pillars to block its path.

Water surged.

Ice formed.

Vines entangled.

Fire exploded.

All abilities collided simultaneously against the charging beast.

The entire highway was engulfed in chaos.

Steam, frost, fire, stone, and splinters of wood filled the air. And yet through the dust, that massive black silhouette kept advancing.

Then...

Dylan screamed as one tusk pierced through his shoulder.

Blood splattered.

He was lifted off the ground and flung aside violently.

"Dylan!!!"

Leo hurried towards Dylan and desperately poured healing energy on him.

Major Kyle’s expression turned savage. Flames erupted around him like a blazing storm.

Shuan’s earth energy caused the ground beneath the boar’s front legs to collapse completely.

The massive beast stumbled for a split second.
