Chapter 965: Chapter 965: Kill Him (Part 9)

Mu Yiliang’s hand unknowingly began to tremble. Clearly, she knew she needed only to plunge the knife down, but why did her hand start to shake, her strength wane, and she just couldn’t stab down?

Because of her tremor, the knife tip had already pierced his skin, with crimson blood seeping out.

That touch of red seemed to sting her at once. She suddenly stood up, the fruit knife in her hand clattering to the floor!

Her face turned deathly pale immediately!

It was over. The perfect opportunity — not only did she fail to seize it, but she also completely lost her chance to strike!

Upon hearing the noise, Yan Sijue finally moved. He propped himself up, sat up, glanced at the fruit knife on the ground, then at her ashen face. His gaze was deep and dark, as if devoid of any emotions.

After a moment, he suddenly chuckled softly.

He leaned down to pick up the fruit knife, placing it on the bedside table nearby, then embraced Mu Yiliang.

"What’s wrong, so frightened?" His voice was gentle, his gaze tender, as if he was completely unaware that she had almost killed him just now!

Mu Yiliang looked at him in shock!

He reached out and caressed her cheek: "Feeling like eating some fruit? I’ll get some for you, okay?"

Mu Yiliang had completely lost the ability to think, only able to nod foolishly.

"Alright, wait for me here." He smiled, pecked lightly at her lips, then casually took the fruit knife and turned to leave the room.

Mu Yiliang clearly saw that on his back, at the spot she had pressed with the knife tip earlier, blood was still constantly seeping out.

How could he not know anything?

His back was hurt; surely it must hurt? Moreover, that knife was the best evidence. How could he remain so calm?

Yan Sijue...

Mu Yiliang whispered his name in her heart and suddenly felt her nose sting, tears streaming out.

She didn’t understand why she felt so sad all of a sudden, why she started to cry...

She wiped away a tear, looking at the tear stains on her fingertips, crying even more fiercely.

Why did she want to kill him?

Because she hated him; he wasn’t good to her; he did many excessive things to her!

But what exactly did he do to her? Why... couldn’t she recall anything? It was as if only this notion screamed madly in her mind, yet when she truly tried to recall what he had done to wrong her, there was only a blank.

As she thought deeper, a faint pain started deep in her mind!

Mu Yiliang closed her eyes in agony, unknowingly breaking out in a cold sweat!

No, she couldn’t think anymore... She just needed to know that she had to kill him, and that was enough!

This thought seemed to offer her tremendous comfort. Mu Yiliang calmed down, wiped the tear stains off her face.

Soon, Yan Sijue returned, carrying a fruit platter which he placed on the bedside table nearby.

Then he crouched in front of her, holding her hand.

Mu Yiliang lowered her eyes.

"Yiliang, you’ve cried?" He quickly noticed her reddened eyes.

"No... no." She nonchalantly denied, smiled, "Sijue, are you okay?"

"Of course, I’m fine." His voice remained gentle, then he picked a piece of apple from the fruit platter and fed it to her mouth, "Have some fruit."

She muttered, "I’ve already brushed my teeth."

He laughed, "No worries, I’ll help you brush them again later."
