Chapter 957: Chapter 957: Kill Him (Part 1)

Once they were so close, now her resistance and disgust are just as hurtful.

Mu Yiliang felt great pressure. Although the man didn’t make any more intimate gestures, he still stood behind her, making her whole body tense up.

She patted skincare products onto her face and body, this task alone took almost half an hour. Eventually, she couldn’t help but close the lid, stiffly opening her mouth, "Si Jue, let’s go to sleep."

The man finally smiled, leaning over to pick her up.

Mu Yiliang widened her eyes in horror!

"Don’t be afraid, tonight I’ll let you off." He chuckled deeply, sending her to the bed and covering her with the quilt.

Mu Yiliang clutched the quilt, feeling the man also lying beside her, then pulling her into his arms.

"You... you said you’d let me off!" She was so nervous that she started to stutter.

Yan Sijue stared tightly into her eyes, speaking slowly and deliberately, "Yiliang, you seem very afraid of me."

Mu Yiliang forced out a smile with difficulty, "No... I’m just, uh... it’s been too long since I’ve seen you, so I’m a bit unaccustomed."

He gazed deeply at her, an unfamiliar emotion flowing in his dark eyes.

"It’s okay, I’ll wait for you to gradually get used to it." He curled his lips, moving her long hair behind her, "Yiliang, do you know how much I missed you?"

"I missed you too." She pursed her lips and said.

"Yiliang, how much do you remember about what happened before?" Yan Sijue asked in a deep voice.

"What?" A trace of confusion appeared on Mu Yiliang’s face.

"Do you remember how we met? And how Xiaoze came about? And my illness... the wedding, and the typhoon on the day you had the accident, how much do you remember?" Yan Sijue asked, tightly fixing his gaze on her eyes.

"I remember, of course I remember..." She smiled lightly, "That day with the typhoon, you refused to leave, I had to knock you out to make them take you away, you don’t blame me, do you?"

Yan Sijue’s gaze darkened.

"Of course I blame you! Don’t ever do such a thing again! No matter what happens, I would never leave you alone; do you know how terrified I was when I couldn’t find you after going back?"

Mu Yiliang listened in a daze, a trace of bewilderment showing in her clear eyes.

Was he really so good to her? Why did it sound like he loved her, cared so much about her...

Yet as soon as this thought arose, it seemed to be torn apart by a tremendous force! She let out a muffled groan and suddenly reached out to hold her temples!

"Yiliang!" Yan Sijue had been closely observing her reactions all along, seeing her looking very pained, he suddenly became tense, "What’s wrong, are you uncomfortable somewhere?"

"Just now my head hurt a bit, it’s nothing now." She barely explained, "Si Jue, I’m tired, can I sleep now?"

Yan Sijue took a deep breath, smiling, "Of course. We’ll talk tomorrow."

She chuckled softly and closed her eyes, her face still somewhat pale, looking docile and pitiful, evoking compassion.

Yan Sijue thought of the struggle evident on her face earlier, and the sudden headache, feeling even heavier in his heart.

After a long time, Mu Yiliang’s breathing finally became even.

Yan Sijue held her tightly in his arms, kissed her lips, and turned off the bedside lamp.

The room immediately fell into darkness.
