"Hmm, by then you’ll have the strength to kick me out of bed." He holds her in his arms, chuckling lightly.

Mu Yiliang widened her eyes in shock: "Oh my god, Si Jue, you’re actually joking!"

His expression darkened for a moment: "Are you saying I was dull before?"

"Not really, but you always had a straight face, never smiling." She stuck out her tongue, "I’m hungry, I want to eat something."

"Alright." Yan Sijue responded, turning to look at Ada.

Ada immediately stood up: "Madam, please wait a moment."

Mu Yiliang was somewhat surprised: "Ada was here all along?"

"Yeah." Yan Sijue didn’t explain much.

Mu Yiliang felt something was amiss, but couldn’t pinpoint it.

This room wasn’t her and Yan Sijue’s bedroom, probably a surgery room. She didn’t think much of it.

She listened closely: "Is it windy and rainy outside?"

"Yes, it’s been a while." Yan Sijue said casually.

Mu Yiliang sighed regretfully: "So, tomorrow there will definitely be many fish washed onto the beach by the waves... Such a pity I can’t go out to catch them."

He chuckled hoarsely: "I’ll catch them and cook for you, how’s that?"

"Great!" Mu Yiliang replied happily, leaning into his embrace. "Si Jue, I feel utterly pampered, really..."

Perhaps she had disappeared for so long that it really scared him, this man’s attitude was surprisingly gentle.

At one point, she even suspected if the man had changed again, but soon she realized it wasn’t the case, he was still that Yan Sijue, just with a few differences.

But those dark, mysterious eyes remained as deep and unfathomable as ever.

Upon hearing this, Yan Sijue felt his eyes warming up.

"I’m sorry, before... I wasn’t good to you at all."

Mu Yiliang shook her head: "No, you were still good." Then she couldn’t help but add softly, "Just don’t get mad at me so easily, and it would be even better."

He let out a brief laugh: "Hmm, I won’t anymore, I’ve truly changed."

"Hmm!" Mu Yiliang reached out to hug his waist, planting a kiss on his chin.

If breaking her leg could make him never doubt her again, then her broken leg was worth it.

From now on, they could live happily together, right?

Thinking of this, Mu Yiliang couldn’t help but smile.

At this moment, Ada came in with a tray, Yan Sijue set a small table in front of Mu Yiliang, and Ada placed the tray on it.

Mu Yiliang glanced at the food, startled: "Just this..."

On the tray, there were only a few slices of toast and a bowl of hot soup.

She thought a grand meal awaited her, after all... she hadn’t eaten for such a long time.

Ada subconsciously looked at Yan Sijue, her expression a bit panicked.

Yan Sijue smiled effortlessly: "You’ve just had surgery, many things can’t be eaten, it’s bad for surgery recovery and wound healing."

Mu Yiliang dejectedly uttered "Oh": "I almost forgot."

Indeed, she was really hungry, didn’t pick fault and grabbed the soup, taking a big sip, causing her little face to crumple.

"It tastes terrible..." She accused, giving Yan Sijue a glance.

What on earth happened? It’s one thing for the food to be plain, but why does it taste like this? Perfectly good ingredients were ruined!
