The Newlywed's Sweet Honey: Husband, Pamper Me to the Bone!-Chapter 917: I’ve Admired You for a Long Time
Mu Yiliang lay on the bed, the area where the medicine was applied felt cool, much more comfortable.
"Si Jue..." she cautiously began to speak.
The man shot her a heavy glance, gritting his teeth as he said, "Mu Yiliang, are you stupid? You want her to see the reality, but there’s no need to sacrifice yourself! With such tricks and tactics, and still playing at framing? What were you thinking with?"
"Well... I didn’t intend for it..." She also didn’t expect to be scalded so badly. That’s how it’s portrayed on TV, she thought it would just get a few splashes and not matter, who knew it would be so severe.
Yan Sijue let out another cold laugh.
"Isn’t it your fault at the end of the day... who told you to provoke such a well-connected rival..." she mumbled discontentedly.
"Still daring to argue!" Yan Sijue glared at her.
She had no choice but to fall silent.
The man suppressed his anger, sat beside her, and looked at her reddened arm, his eyes darkened.
"Get some rest, I’ll go deal with that Sophie. Can’t let your little act go to waste." He gave a cold snort, stood up, and left the room.
Mu Yiliang beamed with a smile behind his back.
Yan Sijue came downstairs, his expression terrifyingly dark.
Sophie was still standing in the same spot, and when she saw him come down the stairs, she instinctively began to justify herself, "Sir, I didn’t do it on purpose, and I’m not that stupid..."
"Miss Sophie, you’d better leave soon. If your father learns that you’re working here as just a simple servant, he might not be too pleased." Yan Sijue said flatly.
Sophie’s face changed slightly.
She wasn’t surprised that Yan Sijue knew her identity, but what she hadn’t expected was that he would so carelessly reveal it.
"Mr. Yan, I..." Her face turned slightly red as she pursed her lips and said, "I’ve admired you for a long time."
"Is that so? I’m honored." Yan Sijue said, yet his expression grew colder, "But I already have a wife, and I love her very much. Regarding today’s incident, I understand it wasn’t your fault. However, your presence makes my wife very uncomfortable, so I apologize, but please leave soon."
Sophie clenched her fists, raised her chin proudly, and said, "Mr. Yan, if only you’d give me a chance, you’ll find I can offer you much more than your wife can."
Yan Sijue curled his lips in a mocking smile: "Is that so? Unfortunately, I’m not the least bit interested."
Sophie looked utterly incredulous: "Mr. Yan, I thought you were a rational person..."
"Ha..." Yan Sijue lifted his hand to rub his brow, "I’ll notify your father soon and have him send someone to pick you up."
Saying this, he turned and left. He only said these words out of respect for her father, but it didn’t mean he had the patience to deal with a little girl’s admiration.
Sophie instinctively wanted to chase after him, but forcefully stopped herself, tears of indignation welling up in her eyes.
She had never expected Yan Sijue to be so merciless, his words seemed respectful, but really... he didn’t even regard her!
She had never been so insulted all her life!
...
Sophie was sent away that very afternoon.
Mu Yiliang let out a long sigh of relief, feeling that her scalding wasn’t in vain. Yan Sijue’s rejection and dismissal were much more effective than she could muster. Hopefully, that little girl would turn over a new leaf and stop causing trouble for others.
As she peacefully recuperated for a few days, she suddenly realized something: the other Yan Sijue hadn’t appeared for quite a while.
