The Newlywed's Sweet Honey: Husband, Pamper Me to the Bone!-Chapter 1062: Lingering Feelings (12)
Su Wanwan opened her mouth but found herself momentarily speechless.
She should be furious, really angry, but Mu Yuze’s expression remained so natural, making it seem as if she would be petty if she minded.
He even raised an eyebrow while asking, "Is there a problem? Oh, by the way, your clothes are already dried and placed in the cabinet."
Su Wanwan could only grit her teeth and say, "...Thank you."
He smiled broadly, "You’re welcome." With that, he left.
Su Wanwan quickly got out of bed, found her clothes in the cabinet, and put them on.
Her mind was still somewhat in a jumble.
He had personally changed her clothes... which meant he had practically seen everything.
But the fact that he had seen everything and yet was indifferent... just proved again that she had no sexual attraction to him whatsoever...
This man truly had the demeanor of a gentleman... but why couldn’t she feel happy about it?
Her mother was a stunning beauty, so why did she turn out to be such a failure? Su Wanwan thought dejectedly.
She put on her clothes, picked up Mu Yuze’s shirt, and, without quite understanding why, brought it to her nose for a slight sniff... However, she didn’t smell anything belonging to that man.
Realizing what she was doing, her face turned slightly red, and she quickly folded the shirt neatly on the bed before leaving the room.
Mu Yuze was waiting for her in the living room.
This seemed to be a duplex apartment, not like a hotel.
"This place is..." She had a hunch and asked.
"I bought it after returning to the country, and I occasionally stay here," Mu Yuze explained casually, giving her a once-over, "All set?"
"Yeah..."
"Let’s go." He picked up the keys, ready to head out.
"Wait a minute." Su Wanwan hesitated and asked, "Is it okay to just leave directly like this?"
"Hmm?" He gave her a glance.
"I mean, I saw the news, everyone is talking about you..." Su Wanwan pressed her lips together.
"Oh, that..." He smiled lazily, "Don’t worry, I won’t let others bother me."
Right... why was she worrying about it anyway?
Su Wanwan obediently followed him out and was taken to a very secluded restaurant.
It was a place that served Japanese cuisine.
Mu Yuze sat on the tatami, his posture relaxed. For a moment, Su Wanwan felt that the distant version of him she saw on the internet this morning seemed within reach again.
"You’ve been... quite busy lately, haven’t you? Sorry for bothering you today, I was so out of it and didn’t realize I’d dialed your number." Su Wanwan explained involuntarily.
"Busy?" He frowned slightly, looking somewhat confused, "I’ve never been busy."
Su Wanwan: "..."
Geniuses are so annoying!
"But," he suddenly changed his tone, his voice dropping, "Who did you originally intend to call?"
"Ah?" Su Wanwan was stunned.
"Su Wanwan, you haven’t moved on to someone new that quickly, have you?" His eyes narrowed slightly.
"Wha... What new someone!?" Her face turned red, "Do you think I’m like you? Girlfriend after girlfriend!"
Touching on the man’s meaningful gaze, she angrily added, "And besides, it’s been three years since we broke up! Even if I had someone new, it wouldn’t exactly be quick!"
Mu Yuze put down his cup, the thud of it hitting the table echoed in the silence, making Su Wanwan’s heart jump with it.
