The Necromancer's Fourth Catastrophe-Chapter 242: No Worries About the Future
Lord Xu originally planned to wait for the other two groups of players from the mineral veins to arrive before proceeding.
However, unable to resist the encouragement from the players around, he eventually drew it out first.
Finally, after evaluations by the players around, they chose a building design that received the most approval.
Lord Xu gently nodded, then spoke, "Since this is everyone's choice, let's proceed. Let's go find Sadek now and see where he has confirmed the construction site for us."
Upon hearing Lord Xu's words, the players present all nodded in agreement and followed him to the location of the Array of the Sound of the Cyan Wood, where Sadek often stayed.
On the way, they joined up with the players from the other two mineral veins, and soon, a large group of players arrived at the Array of the Sound of the Cyan Wood where Sadek was located.
At this time, Sadek was evidently waiting for the players. As soon as he saw them, he waved his hand to gesture for them to follow him.
The players understood his gesture and immediately started walking to keep pace with him.
Soon, Sadek led the players to an open area on the island where the Array of the Sound of the Cyan Wood was located.
He then pointed to the ground beneath and then to the building materials placed beside the open area.
These indigenous merfolk have lived on these Merfolk Islands for decades, constructing numerous buildings.
Building materials, naturally, are readily available and can be directly provided for the players to use.
There's simply no need for the players to reforge building materials.
This undoubtedly saved a lot of time.
Seeing these neatly arranged building materials, Lord Xu's eyes lit up slightly, and he stepped forward.
After carefully inspecting them, he turned to the surrounding players and said, "These building materials feel much better than the ones we fired on Kain Island."
"It seems the merfolk's firing skills here are much better than what we have on Kain Island."
Hearing what Lord Xu said, the players present were all very happy.
To be honest, they were willing to build buildings but truly unwilling to fire building materials. This undoubtedly removed a great deal of trouble.
Lord Xu waved to the surrounding players, "Alright, brothers, let's get to work now. Work hard on moving bricks today and worry less in the future."
"Everyone, just follow my instructions. Do as I say, and everything will go well."
Seeing the players starting to get busy, Sadek stood aside, unsure of what to say.
Those terrifying undead creatures were fierce in battles; who would have thought they would be equally fierce in construction?
But now that everything was on track, he felt there was no need to linger there any longer.
He shifted his gaze from the players and then walked away into the distance.
He decided to go among the indigenous merfolk and select some handsome mermaids who understood etiquette to get it done as Lord Fang Ka had instructed, in advance.
The next evening.
Two Nightmare Beasts flew from Skyrim to the Merfolk Islands and then landed at the location of the Array of the Sound of the Cyan Wood. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
One of the beasts had Noel sitting on it, while the other carried an ordinary mermaid.
Both brought a large parcel.
Seeing the two, Sadek immediately walked up and said, "Noel, did Mage Fang Ka arrange for you to bring those tokens over?"
Hearing Sadek's words, Noel casually tossed the large parcel he was carrying towards Sadek.
Seeing this, Sadek quickly reached out to catch it.
After catching the large parcel, Noel lazily remarked, "Why not open it and see for yourself."
Taking Noel's advice, Sadek opened a small slit in the parcel and peeked inside.
All these parcels were filled with tokens for exchanging Gold Coins.
Sadek couldn't help but smile slightly, then wrapped the parcel back up and turned his eyes to the large parcel carried by the other mermaid.
It was clear that the large parcel carried by the other mermaid should contain tokens for exchanging Silver Coins.
Noticing Sadek's gaze, the mermaid smiled softly at Sadek and handed the large parcel over.
Sadek nodded at the mermaid, took the large parcel, and checked it as well.
As he suspected, they were indeed the tokens for exchanging Silver Coins.
After confirming everything, Sadek nodded lightly to Noel and the mermaid, then said, "Alright, it's confirmed there's no issue."
Hearing this, Noel gently nodded and said, "That's good. Since everything is confirmed, we'll be heading back."
After stating this, Noel didn't say more and quickly flew off into the distance riding his beast.
The other mermaid smiled at Sadek and hurriedly caught up with Noel.
After watching the two leave, Sadek turned his gaze back and handed the two large parcels to two merfolk behind him.
Once they accepted them firmly, he instructed them sternly, "Place these two parcels securely, without any mistakes, understood?"
Hearing Sadek's solemn instructions, the two merfolk hurriedly nodded, indicating their understanding.
Once the two merfolk left with the parcels, Sadek gazed into the distance.
There lay the site where the players were constructing the bank.
By this time, the bank was nearly complete, and the players were busy with the detailed finishing touches.
Sadek couldn't help but be astounded by this scene.
The players worked tirelessly like perpetual machines, seemingly unstoppable, and their momentum in moving bricks left Sadek feeling a bit overwhelmed.
Now, Sadek understood why Lord Fang Ka arranged for these players to take on the construction.
If it were up to the merfolk, it would never have been completed so quickly. Who knows how many more days it would have dragged on?
Most importantly, he didn't think the merfolk could build as well as these players.
At the current pace, the bank could likely officially open tomorrow.
But of course, before the official opening, he must contact Lord Fang Ka to see if there are any additional requirements.
Sadek would never make such critical decisions without approval.
For important matters like this, he'd only act on the explicit consent of Lord Fang Ka.
