The Mob Character Who Woke Up!-Chapter 71: Plans for a better future! (1)
Kaizen ultimately failed in his desperate quest to spit out the sticky note, which meant the contents and secrets about the whole demonic operation were now permanently gone down his throat.
Hopefully would be violently expelled from his digestive system tomorrow morning in a very unglamorous way that he would prefer not to think about.
After that traumatic bathroom experience that he would never speak of again, he decided to just go out for a walk because it was objectively better to stay far away from his demon roommate.
Especially knowing very well that Klaus was currently planning some kind of apocalyptic bullshit involving some mysterious entities.
Even though Kaizen had absolutely no idea what the sender of that letter was actually addressing, he was pretty damn sure it must be about some serious demonic shit that would inevitably get him killed in a horrible way.
Kaizen shivered as he walked through the magical lamp lit streets of his academy campus. Seeing so many students happily chatting away while eating snacks and laughing gave him a temporary sense of easiness, and quickly a melancholic thought struck him like a brick.
’How genuinely happy would it be to live a normal life where you could just be happy like these carefree students without having to constantly worry about demonic and devil shit trying to murder you on a daily basis?’
Such a peaceful life was unfortunately not possible for the people of this world. Especially students who were often times specifically targeted by evil cults and demons since these students were considered the promises of tomorrow and were naive enough to control with manipulation and false promises.
He sighed deeply and decided the only thing he could realistically do right now was to wait patiently for another secret message to appear on Klaus’s desk.
But he absolutely had to make sure he would not get in serious trouble with some batshit crazy demons for interfering with their secret messaging system.
Also there was the terrifying possibility about Klaus eventually finding out about the missing note and its horrible consequences for Kaizen’s continued existence.
Another shiver ran through his entire body.
He quickly pulled himself together and took a look at his student ID card. His name, rank and room number came printed in golden engraving on the black metal card.
He flipped it over and raised his eyebrows while reading his current bank balance displayed on the small screen.
It was exactly zero crowns.
Gino had not deposited a single crown into his account yet. Did he seriously get scammed by that greedy bastard? He quickly shook that paranoid thought away since he knew Gino was way more smart than to pull something that stupid.
If rumors about Gino and his black market store and illegal dungeon loot sales, smuggling operations, and tax evasion came to light, Gino was absolutely done for.
The Republic of Peace Alliance would immediately send its strongest warriors against this poor greedy merchant and Gino could do absolutely nothing about it at all except maybe beg for mercy.
’Sigh, I am pretty sure that after he finishes sorting out everything and appraising all the loot properly, he will pay me my proper share eventually.’
Kaizen sat down under a large banyan tree on the cobblestone platform surrounding it and contemplated his increasingly complicated life choices.
The cold of the night was making him shiver slightly, but he bathed in the rare peacefulness of this moment, completely not knowing what batshit crazy thing would inevitably happen tomorrow to ruin everything.
’I genuinely wonder what streams the other main characters chose for their specialization? Will they all pick flashy ones like fire and lightning?’
He quickly fished out his phone from his pocket and opened the Zenith Tea Scroll app, the premier place for all gossips and rumors that happened in the entire academy and beyond. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
And just like he had predicted with his superior knowledge, the number one trending topic was obviously about the Four Heavenly Kings!
#1. Heavenly Kings and their destiny.

One hundred and forty million views!
Kaizen’s eyes widened dramatically seeing that absurd number that seemed fake! One hundred and forty million people had checked out what streams the Heavenly Kings chose.
That was way too much interest in just four students.
Well, this app was basically accessible for anyone living in the RPA, so it was only natural that the people of the Republic wanted to see what the best of the best academy in the entire RPA could offer as future heroes.
But then again, one hundred and forty million was still ridiculously too much even accounting for that. That many people were intensely interested in just four students out of thousands.
It was not only civilians casually checking this for entertainment either. Major guilds and mercenary groups, RPA government officials, talent scouts, and corporate sponsors would also be checking them obsessively for recruitment purposes.
Of course, since it was freely accessible for everyone from the RPA, it was also easily accessible for evil cults that were actively looking for possible recruits to corrupt, demons seeking high-value targets, and other evil organizations and entities with nefarious purposes.
After this day, the majority of the top ranked students would definitely have plenty of recruitment offers coming from everywhere imaginable! Especially the four Heavenly Kings who would be absolutely drowning in contracts and sponsorship deals!
Kaizen chewed his bottom lip in what seemed like a little bit of envy. But obviously, he was also genuinely glad that he was not the center of all that suffocating attention.
There were two thousand students in the first year class that would be selected and noticed before him. That meant he could successfully lay low for a very long time while all the other major problems and villains would have their eyes focused entirely on the main characters instead of him.
He looked down at the other trending topics on the list. Honestly he was a little hesitant to scroll down since, well, you know, after that traumatic incident which required holy water to purify his innocent eyeballs, he was genuinely afraid to look down the list and discover more horrors.
’I genuinely believe a precious piece of my innocence was violently lost that cursed day!’
He calmed his rapidly beating heart and suppressed his rising disgust and burning anger against that stupid author named SpreadedCheekz! Whoever she was in real life, she would eventually pay dearly for tainting his innocent heart with her degenerate literature.
Kaizen clenched his fist dramatically and silently vowed revenge to himself under the moonlight.
After a long moment of mental preparation and deep breathing, he finally looked down at the second trending topic and....
