Chapter 1154

Evangeline always streamed at a decent hour.

Though her audience found her content engaging, her main focus was always art-related content such as sketches, paintings, and other creative projects. Still, she occasionally switched things up with gaming, mukbang, or gacha pulls.

Despite her petite frame, Evangeline was an ancient dragon through and through. When she got serious about eating, even a crowd of ravenous food competition humans couldn’t compete against her.

Of course, she didn’t particularly enjoy mukbangs, so she only did them when it was part of a punishment she had to do.

Ding!

[Constellation Sagittarius has donated 50,000 won.]

- Boss, did you see what Moderation posted?

The infamous chairman, Constellation Sagittarius.

From what she’d heard, that lunatic chairman was a demigod, one of the constellations. She never understood why it would hang around her stream, acting like a regular human.

Still, she was curious about what it was referring to in the donation. The moment she read its username again, Evangeline frowned, but then tilted her head.

“Post?”

[Oh, that one lololol]

[Moderation lolol he dropped by a cafe by chance and saw your sister, apparently.]

“Sister? You mean Super Ribbon?” Her eyes widened. “Where?!”

She jumped to her feet.

[???]

[Why are you asking that?]

[You don’t know, even as her little sister? Seriously?]

She trembled at the news. “I mean, she said it’d be too much pressure and attention on her and wanted to keep it a secret. Wait, I need to see it myself.”

She put down her pen and opened her browser, then paused to think.

“Hmm. What community that Moderation usually posts on, again? Ah, it’s this one.”

[??? Wait, why does boss know so much about Moderation?]

[What the heck? What’s going on between those two?]

Ignoring their growing confusion, Evangeline scrolled through posts. The viewers simply remembered all the things Moderation had said in passing.

“There's nothing going on between us, so stop assuming things.”

[Moderation in his twenties, crying in the corner lolol]

[This juicy drama lolol]

“Sigh. Moderation, Moderation... Ah! Found it.”

She clicked on the post Moderation had left and saw it had a ton of upvotes.

“Huh? Even Reina was there?” she muttered surprisingly.

Noticing her wide eyes, the viewers flooded the chat with questions.

[Who’s that?]

[Reina? Never heard of her.]

“She’s my other sister. A very precious one.”

Her answer only added to the confusion.

[Boss collecting plot hooks like crazy.]

[Hold on, isn’t the Saint of Tionis supposed to be in his twenties? It makes sense for Eva, but how could he have a child older than you?]

Despite the growing doubt, Evangeline simply beamed at the thought of Reina being on Earth.

“Hehe. That means I might get to see Reina too!”

[Whoa, look at that smile.]

[My heart can’t take this...]

Grinning brightly, she casually explained, “Super Ribbon has been by Dad’s side since before I was born. She’s not human either, but Dad brought her into the world nonetheless.”

The viewers just figured the Saint of Tionis had simply been himself again.

“Reina is essentially the Hero of Tionis. Due to some circumstances, she recently settled down in Heins Territory.”

Of course, there was no reason to reveal the full truth about her.

[Whoa. A Hero? Dang.]

[Hearing it out loud makes my head spin lol. A Hero?]

[Is she the kind of hero that wears cringe armor and shouts light or something lol]

The viewers clearly had no idea what kind of person Reina actually was, so Evangeline sighed and shook her head.

“Reina is a recognized Hero. She saved a ton of lives. Of course, so did Dad, but...”

[LOL you say you hate your dad, but you can’t help smiling the moment you talk about him]

[This is you being rebellious? Seriously? Rebellious? Seriously? Rebellious? Seriously? Rebellious? Seriously? Rebellious? Seriously? Rebellious?]

“D-Don’t make fun of me!” she shouted in a flustered tone.

The viewers had begun teasing her more and more as time went on, and so she usually ended up groaning a lot on stream.

“Do you all really like messing with me that much?!”

[Yes, we do.]

[Yeah, we freaking love it.]

Ding!

[Moderation has donated 5,000 won.]

- Freakin 'love it.

“Hey!!” Evangeline, now pissed off, started huffing. “Why are you stirring things up here? Go back to your own stream!”

Frustrated, she tried to start a voice chat with him, but Moderation didn’t accept the request.

“Moderation, pick up! If you don’t, I’m gonna get mad!”

As soon as she said that, another donation came in from Moderation.

[Yeah, I’m gonna get mad!]

A character with an infuriating expression mocked her in an equally infuriating voice.

“Ugh. I’m telling Dad!”

The chat froze like someone had hit pause on a universal remote. Sniffling, she reached for her phone.

At that moment, a voice chat request popped up.

It was Moderation.

[Ahaha, Princess, you know I was just messing around, right?]

“Just one more time and I really will tell on you.”

[Come on, Miss, have mercy. That’ll kill me. For real...]

Moderation was a guy with a lot of mischief in his heart.

“So? Where’s Super Ribbon working part-time? Just tell me, please?”

[Huh? Nope.]

“Why not?!”

[Look, those two girls obviously had their own reasons for keeping it secret. Wouldn’t it be messed up if I went and spilled it for them?]

Now that he put it that way, it made sense. Even if she felt a little hurt, Evangeline couldn’t find anything to say back.

“But I’m her little sister...”

[They’ll tell you when they’re ready. I only posted because I wanted to tease the viewers a bit. I didn’t actually leak anything, and I don’t intend to.]

Still full of complaints, she ended up agreeing. “Fine...”

[Okay but seriously, Moderation. Why are you here instead of on your own stream?]

As the viewers started voicing their frustrations too, he let out a sheepish laugh—one that was clearly meant to provoke. He then vanished.

Evangeline let out a sigh. “Anyway, the comments are just...”

She looked over them with a face full of disdain.

[Look at that disgusted face lolol]

[Oof... That’s a reward in itself...]

If someone had crossed the line, she wouldn’t hesitate to tell Davey. Alas, the humans in the chat weren’t that bold.

The post was simple. Moderation had stopped by a cafe looking for art inspiration, ordered an Americano, and found that the waiter’s voice sounded familiar. Curious, he’d gone back and compared it to clips from Evangeline’s past streams. Remembering that Evangeline had said that Super Ribbon was trying to work part-time, he put two and two together.

“Ugh, why didn’t he mention the location...”

[Lol of course he wouldn’t do that. If he had, it’d be chaos.]

[People would flood the place.]

“That doesn’t even make sense! Super Ribbon isn’t even a streamer!”

[Yeah, but there’s a lot of crazy people in the world lols]

[You keep hiding everything all the time. That makes people curious.]

“So this is my fault now, is that it?!”

The viewers didn’t miss a beat, teasing her with everything from harmless jokes to comments that genuinely flustered and frustrated her. Thousands of people teamed up to tease her, to the point that she couldn’t even respond properly. All she could do was endure the wave of mockery.

She thought about telling Davey, but she knew it wouldn’t be the right move. After all, it hadn’t been long since she had told him how much she hated it when he smelled like alcohol. Running to him in tears was something her pride wouldn’t let her do yet.

“Don’t do it...”

She gritted her teeth and told them to stop in what she thought was a threatening tone.

[“Don’t do it” LOLS]

[But I will! I will!]

Her face turned red and blue as the viewers kept piling on, totally unafraid.

They’d clearly gotten used to that kind of conduct. Besides, every one of these little incidents was just part of the content. Evangeline had no plans to make it an issue, but it still stung each time.

Seething with frustration, she minimized the stream window and booted up a game.

[???]

[Wait, what’s this all of a sudden?]

She’d launched a hardcore roguelike game. It was one of those games where if you died, you lost everything. Literally everything, from gear, levels, and even the character itself.

Without hesitation, she selected the hardcore difficulty.

“I’m playing this now. One death and it’s all over, got it?”

[Outta nowhere?]

[??? Did Princess just ditch art for a game? Boom boom!?]

She’d usually never touch anything else until her drawing was completed, no interruptions. That’s why the viewers were starting to wonder if maybe they’d gone too far.

[Let’s see how far she gets without knowing the attack patterns of the Subterranean King! Smh my head]

[Is today a deathless speedrun attempt or what?]

Not paying any attention to them, Evangeline calmly selected her character.

[You have selected Vagabond. This character has greater growth potential than others, but its difficulty is significantly higher. Would you like to proceed?]

“Let’s go!” she shouted in response to the warning, then locked in her choice.

[??? She went for a core build.]

[Definitely knows her games.]

[Look at that confidence lol. You do know death resets everything, right?]

Ignoring the giggling viewers, Evangeline started playing with a chillingly empty look in her eyes.

She absolutely annihilated the first boss, effectively shattering it into pieces with her burning rage. She shredded the second boss into pieces as well.

[Whoa. Boss is really pissed.]

[Seriously, what kind of cracked control is this?]

[Is this something a person is capable of?]

Unbothered by the shock in the chat, she pressed on with the game. Before long, she reached an area with extreme difficulty, meeting her end soon after.

However, the reason she died was because the viewers had tricked her. They had hyped her up, swearing she could survive, and she’d followed their advice. That choice led her straight to her death.

[YOU DIED]

The chilling phrase appeared as the screen went dark.

[Back to the drawing board!]

[Ah... So this is how it ends? Lololol]

[You fell for it lols]

[Such a waste, but still hilarious af loool how’d you fall for this again LOLS]

[And once again, Evangeline gets duped. FILTHY PRANKED]

The viewers wanted nothing more than to see Evangeline trembling, teary-eyed, and on the verge of crying. After all, her trembling reactions were always in massive demand.

Their fake sighs and feigned concern filled the chat, but Evangeline simply turned off the screen.

“Dead people don’t stream.”

That was the last thing she said on stream that day before turning it off.

Only later on did the viewers realize why she had even launched that game in the first place.

That day, the streamer forums exploded.

* * *

“Haah. Life ain’t easy at all,” Reina muttered while carrying a large supply box with one hand as she stepped into the storage room. “Neither Earth nor Tionis is an easy place to be.”

“Reina, are you okay?”

“Yeah, I’m fine. It’s fun, but the crowd is a bit overwhelming.”

Normally, working at a cafe was a simple job that didn’t require much effort.

“Huh? What are you two doing standing around in here? If you’re taking a break, go rest in the staff room. The air quality here isn’t that great.” The boss Jung Ju-Seok walked in with a bright smile. To him, both Super Ribbon and Reina were lucky charms.

There was a saying that if the cashier is pretty, it adds value to the business. In that sense, both Reina and Super Ribbon were top-tier premium staff. It was only natural for him to welcome them with open arms.

Just a few days after they started working, the number of customers had increased beyond his wildest imagination.

“Man, I really must be blessed. Normally, I’d only get maybe twenty customers a day. Ever since you two showed up, I haven’t even had a moment to catch a breath! Still, I’m not an evil boss or anything, so I’ll make sure you both get proper breaks. I stocked some ice cream in the back, so feel free to grab some if you want.”

He was clearly delighted. With sales booming, there was no reason for him not to be.

“We’re okay, Mr. Jung. We’ll get back to work now.”

“Alright, just don’t push yourselves too hard.”

After waving at them and starting to organize supplies in the back, Super Ribbon chuckled quietly and headed outside. She then got right back to work with Reina. “Reina! Three Americanos over here!”

“One moment please! Uh... huh? Why isn’t this working? Cash receipt? P-Please wait just a second! M-Mr. Jung!”

“Thank you for shopping with us. Here are your three Americanos.” 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

The cafe was pure chaos. Not a small cafe by any means, even with Super Ribbon, Reina, and one other part-timer working nonstop, there was no end in sight.

‘Why are they still hanging around after finishing their drinks...?” The part-timer beside Super Ribbon whimpered under her breath, “Wow... Thanks to you two, this place is packed.”

She smiled awkwardly at the comment.

There were so many people in the cafe. Some just watched Reina fumble with the register like it was the cutest thing ever while others crowded Super Ribbon to place all kinds of orders.

Still, that alone would’ve been manageable.

“Ummm. Excuse me, could I get your number...?”

“I’m sorry, sir. We kindly ask that you refrain from asking our staff personal questions.”

No one had seen him approach, but the boss stepped in with a business smile, brushing off the customer hitting on her.

The place had become a popular spot for college students. Super Ribbon briefly wondered if their identities had been discovered, but figured that wasn’t the case. She just assumed it was word of mouth.

While the boss knew the truth about Super Ribbon and Reina, he nonetheless introduced them as simple foreign part-timers to regular customers.

Super Ribbon knew that if Evangeline found out, one of her viewers might try to visit, which would cause a mess. She’d done her best to keep it quiet, but things clearly weren’t going smoothly.

They had started wanting to be normal part-timers, but it wasn’t going as planned.

“Man, at this rate, I’m gonna get rich! Seriously, I’m so grateful to both of you. Expect a nice fat bonus this month.” The boss grinned from ear to ear, chuckling to himself. He looked really pleased.

Super Ribbon didn’t find the job physically taxing, but it wore her down a bit mentally. She let out a small sigh before a customer walked up to the cashier.

“Welcome! What can I get for you?”

The customer was a young man wearing sunglasses and a mask. He looked around nervously before speaking.

“Uh, one Americano, please.”

“Sure, one Americano? I’ll ring you up.” She greeted him with a bright smile, and for a second, it looked like his face turned slightly red.

“Ummm. Super Ribbon?”

Her eyes widened slightly. She’d never told him her name.

“I... I’m sorry. I hope I’m not overstepping here.”

“W-Who are you?”

“You don’t recognize me?”

He lowered his mask slightly. It was the good-looking guy from the first day she had started work.

He gave a wry smile. “I feel like I might’ve caused all this just by bragging online... I’m really sorry.”

It was none other than the streamer Moderation. Super Ribbon stared at him in shock.

“How did you recognize me...?”

“Your voice. I’d know it anywhere.” He gave a faint smile, then glanced back at the people waiting behind him and spoke quietly, “Anyway, I really am sorry. Could you make it to-go?”

“Ah, yes. Of course.”

“And... I know this might feel like a lot, but as an apology, would you mind if I bought you a coffee at the convenience store across the street in a bit?”

The boss, hearing that, looked over curiously. Super Ribbon just smiled like nothing was out of the ordinary and whispered back, “Of course. Thanks to you, Eva’s been smiling so much lately. I should be the one thanking you. I’ve got a break in about twenty minutes, so I’ll see you then.”

“Alright. I’ll see you soon.” He bowed politely and left with his coffee.

Reina quietly approached. “Super Ribbon, what was that about?”

“Ah, Reina. Want to come too?”

“Huh? Where?”

“For coffee.”

The idea of leaving to go get coffee sounded a little silly to her, given their occupations.
