The Master Programmer-Chapter 150: Body Shots and Horny Thots 2
This kind of display for a person like Troy was only going to bring negative results. After all, embarrassing your boss’ new business partner was tantamount to ruining relations.
"If you had had bad intentions I would have never seen YOUR face, your fucker! You idiot! Jason was able to take down fifty of your big burly men while he was weaponless. He was even able to take down six mercenaries all by himself with thirteen bullets going against semi-automatic rifles. You idiot!!" Troy said in anger.
Jason looked at the man, wondering just what he was playing at... And soon he would discover it. He heard a thud in the next moment and then turning back to Draco and seeing him kneeling on the floor, he knew something was about to happen.
Troy sneered as he watched his man turn into a bitch right in front of him. "This is Snake Gang business," Troy said finally, his voice icy. Then, turning to Jason, he added, "And you, my friend, should be more than an investor. Join us."
Huh?!
So he had chosen this moment to make the offer. This tense moment where anything could happen, this moment where Draco’s life was hanging on the line, where he was begging to be spared, to expose this intention.
He was offering Jason the ability to deal with Draco who was way too suspicious at that moment. Either that or he was trying to gauge Jason’s intentions. But still, the more Jason interacted with Troy, the more he understood just how cold and ruthless the man was.
Jason raised an eyebrow, his smirk returning. "I’ll pass. I’m not a gangster, Troy. I’m a businessman."
Troy gave Jason a cold smirk as he gestured to one of the girls, who came over slowly. "You think I’m a gangster? No… I’m a businessman too. I just have a few big guys who work for me, and do things for me. Unclog the pipes so that the money flows better."
Troy chuckled, though his eyes remained hard. "I understand if you don’t want to join us yet… We barely even know each other. We still haven’t even shared a woman yet, haha! Consider this an invitation to partnership. Let me show you what loyalty means."
Before Jason could respond, Troy drew a gun, the same gun he had seen when he entered, the one that was holstered on the woman’s leg. The action was so swift that Draco barely had time to react.
*Bang! Bang!*
Two shots rang out, and Draco groaned out a word before crumpling to the floor, blood pooling beneath him. Jason watched this scene with a dead-eyed look. As expected. Troy was sending a message to him. This is what I do to people who betray me. Understood.
As the smell of blood spread out, Jason turned back to Troy only to see the man with an equally cold look. It wasn’t just him. It was everyone else too. They all had these cold looks on their faces. Jason figured this might have been another form of operant conditioning from Troy.
Oh.. so you rejected my proposal? Well, let me give you a negative experience. Next time you better give me the right response, or else... The talk about loyalty and all that bullshit. This was a show. Jason was sure of it. Troy was warning him to not work with anyone else.
Anyway, he had no intentions of working with anyone else. Such an intelligent gangster was rare. Jason wanted to keep him on his side for as long as possible at this stage. Not only for his business and intelligence but for the influence he wielded.
This was why Jason’s expression remained unfazed, his expression unreadable. He could not allow the man to underestimate him. He glanced at Troy with a slight tilt in his head. "Was that necessary?"
Troy shrugged, his demeanour casual. "A bad snake in the farm. Can’t have that. My snakes have to be good, never bite the hand that feeds them, never go and eat too much of the other farm animals… This guy… thought too much of himself and for that he deserved punishment."
Jason sighed dramatically, shaking his head. "And this is why I’ll never join you," he said, though his tone was more amused than reprimanding. Before Troy could say anything though, Jason cut him off.
Leaning forward, he added, "But I’ll make you a deal. Let’s become business partners instead. I have an idea for a company—an investment empire. Together, we could dominate the world. What do you say?"
Troy’s interest was piqued, though he feigned indifference. "Sounds risky."
Jason smirked. "All great ventures are. And anyway…" He turned to the dead man on the floor. "You just killed someone in front of a witness. You are doing something risky right now. But everything’s fine, right? We trust each other."
Trust was taking it a step too far, But Jason knew Troy would understand him. They knew each other and knew what the other side had to lose. Troy was impressed with Jason’s capabilities just as Jason was impressed with Troy’s. They could help each other was what Jason was trying to say.
"I’ll think about it… " Troy said before shaking his head. "Not tonight, though. Let’s focus on tomorrow."
Jason nodded. Well, he knew he was not going to get anything from the man anytime soon. But if he did, it would be the things he wanted the whole time. Anyway, Jason normally could affect people easily, but with Troy, it was different. Troy seemed to be able to handle himself well in Jason’s presence.
Since Troy was being such a good boy then maybe Jason was going to reward him with something. His eyes gleamed as Jason produced a package of small white pills.
"This is for the auction," Jason said, his tone firm. "Fifty, just like I promised you. If you want them, you’ll have to bid like everyone else."
Troy chuckled, nodding. "Fair enough." He motioned for one of his men to remove Draco’s body, ensuring no trace of the incident would mar his lavish surroundings. Everyone in that place was cold-blooded though, so he must have known that they would not have cared. Seeing those men walk in with body bags and chemical cleaning equipment, Jason had a cold look.
People died every day. This day was Draco’s. Tomorrow it might be Troy. There was nothing to be done about it.
Seeing that the man had received the pills, putting them into a special case, Jason figured it was time to leave before he invited him to some body-shot-taking competitions.
As Jason rose, Troy called out, "Wait. Take this." One of the women walked over with a smile and handed Jason an ornate ticket. "Bring someone. Tomorrow’s event is going to be unforgettable. Trust me."
Jason accepted the ticket, his smirk returning. "Thank you, Troy. This is a super private golden ticket with a room, right?"
Troy chuckled. "Gah, what are you saying?! That ticket is for a private room, and it costs five hundred thousand. But I figured since you’re a shareholder of the Auction house already, then you do need to see the happenings from the best view in the place. That’s why I gave you that."
Jason chuckled. He turned his head to the ticket. The golden lettering shimmered under the light, promising opportunity. It was surely going to be very interesting. Jason couldn’t wait to rake in the cash. With a nod, he turned and left, his mind already strategising.

Behind him, Troy leaned back, eyeing the pills with a predatory grin.
"Are you letting him walk away?" one of the women murmured, her voice sultry as she leaned on his shoulder.
"You told us to probe his intentions by giving him those ’fuck me’ eyes, but he didnt bite. Not even once. You even set the scene up so elaborately just to lull him into a false sense of security and make him trust you."
Troy sighed, looking up at the ceiling as the other woman began massaging his shoulders. "Jason is pretty impressive for a kid. And he’s got a presence about him. I feel like things would have gone well if it weren’t for that idiot Draco. Fucing bastard. Tell the other boys to get someone to replace him ASAP."
The women nodded as they attended to him and he sat there in silence for a long time before finally sighing once again. And then when his sight turned back into the predatory grin they knew and loved they heard his voice come back.
"Jason and I are bound for greatness. He just doesn’t know it yet. He will stay with me as long as he stays useful, but if he becomes useless then we will throw him away. Keep gathering information on him. Keep getting our boys and his boys to be best friends. ALl those relationships are going to help us greatly."

Jason stepped into the cool night, the weight of the ticket in his pocket. Tomorrow held promise, but it also held danger. He relished the challenge. The game was just beginning, and Jason Cross always played to win.
