The Master Programmer-Chapter 110: The Business God Method 2
Jason leaned closer, his breath warm on her neck as he whispered, "You’re so beautiful, Veronica. So strong, so in control." His teeth grazed her earlobe, sending shivers down her spine.
Her resolve wavered as his hand slid beneath her skirt, his touch finding her wet and ready. She gasped, her eyes fluttering closed for a brief moment. "We can’t," she said, though her voice was barely above a whisper.
"Why not?" he murmured against her skin, his thumb brushing over her clit with featherlight precision.
"I...I might..." Veronica struggled to form words as the pressure built within her. "I might... I’ll ruin my clothes."
Jason chuckled darkly, his hand never stopping. "Don’t worry," he said, his voice low and seductive. "I’ll take care of it."

The car’s interior grew hot, the windows fogging slightly from their heavy breaths. Veronica’s hips began to rock in rhythm with his touch, her body begging for release.
"Oh, Jason," she moaned, her grip tightening on the steering wheel. "I’m so close."
Just as she reached the brink, Jason withdrew his hand. Veronica let out a strangled cry of frustration, her eyes flying open to meet his. He was watching her, his expression a mix of amusement and desire.
"What are you doing?" she panted, glaring at him.
"Just wanted to make sure you weren’t nervous," he said, his smirk widening. "But I can tell you’re not. Just relax. Let me take care of everything, okay?"
Veronica’s cheeks flushed with a mix of embarrassment and arousal. "You... you tease," she accused, her voice shaking.
Jason leaned in, his gaze intense. "I care about you, Veronica. You had a smile on your face, but it was a bit strained. If I see you too worried about something, I will take action. I will bear the world for you if only you let me. So please let me."
Her eyes searched his, looking for the truth. What she found was a man who was indeed devoted to her, in more ways than one. "Jason," she breathed, her voice thick with need.
"Later. We’re about to get to the building," Jason said turning his eyes to the front and focusing his eyes back on the laptop.
She frowned. He was just teasing her. This guy!! Well, two can play that game.
The imposing glass facade of Hall Enterprises loomed ahead as their car pulled into the reserved parking space. Jason stepped out, adjusting his suit with a casual elegance that turned heads even in the bustling lobby.
As they approached the elevators, a familiar voice stopped him in his tracks.
"Jason? Is that you?"
He turned to see Sarah, his former university friend, standing a few feet away. Her blonde hair was styled impeccably, and her fitted blouse and pencil skirt showed off her curvaceous figure. Yet her eyes, once filled with mockery, now held a mix of surprise and envy as they flicked between him and Veronica.
She was probably misunderstanding something, but Jason didn’t care. Jason offered her a curt nod, his expression unreadable. "Sarah. It’s been a while."
Sarah’s lips curled into a sly grin. "So this is what you’ve been up to? Guess you’ve traded up," she said, her gaze lingering on Veronica who was already moving on without Jason.
Jason’s smirk widened slightly. "You could say that." He turned away without another word, leaving Sarah fuming and Veronica mildly amused as she looked at them.
"Does that girl know I’m her boss?" Veronica asked with a smirk.
"She’s an idiot… no need to pay attention to her," Jason said back to her.
"Was she one of those people who betrayed you?" Veronica asked, her eyes taking on a soft gaze. Jason looked into her eyes, and he smiled reassuringly, trying to show how he was fine now.
"Yeah… She was a ’friend’ of mine… But when everything happened, I was kicked out and then she and every other ’friend’ of mine all threw me away. It’s pretty messed up but it’s whatever."
Veronica narrowed her eyes as she watched the woman approach a handsome guy, talking to him while twirling her hair fashionably. "A disgusting personality like her working in HR? I guess I’ll fire her," Veronica said with a frown.
"Woah, woah… If you do that just for me… I’ll start feeling good," Jason said right after entering the elevator. As soon as the doors closed, he cupped her chin, making her smirk.
"If I can’t even take care of something so simple… Then what am I?" Veronica asked Jason, looking deep in her eyes. Jason could tell at that moment. She was so serious.
But still, Jason was not willing to see her do this. "If you do this, you will be wilfully abusing your power and that will be bad for your public image. You need to make sure to make everything you do publicly inscrutable, that way nobody can criticise you or go against you. I can’t let you make a mistake just for me, just to make me happy."
After hearing those words, she smiled. "So you care about me…" Veronica said, putting her hands around him and pecking his mouth with a smile on her face. She then rubbed Jason’s lips, making sure to remove the lipstick on them., thereafter fixing herself up.
And then when the elevator came to a stop, she got off Jason, taking on the usual female CEO demeanour, and that made Jason chuckle as he followed her out. She knew immediately why he was laughing. It was because she had these two personalities. She glared at him, but seeing that smirk, she soon revealed a soft smile, that only he could see.
Jason’s heart skipped a beat. Damn, this woman was beautiful.
They walked out of there, their destination very obviously the conference room. Veronica had set up a meeting with what Jason had in mind, and with the flow of information being the way it was, it did not take long for everyone to come together.
The conference room was already filled with executives and shareholders when they arrived. Veronica’s entrance commanded immediate respect, the room falling silent as all eyes turned to her. Jason followed close behind, his presence drawing curious and sceptical glances.
"Who’s the guy?" someone whispered, looking Jason up and down in interest. He had walked in with their boss. He wasn’t some personal assistant, right?
Before anyone could speculate further, a young woman near the front gasped. "It’s Jason Cross! Sorry, he’s really handsome."
"Didn’t he try to steal his family’s money and end up getting kicked out? Why is he here?" someone else said, drawing Jason’s attention. Well... this was just the state of the matter. In these kinds of business and social circles, he could find at least one person who knew his face and maybe the story that his family spread as an excuse to throw him out.
"I heard he tried to rape his own relative… They kicked him out because he doesn’t deserve to be one of them…"
"I heard…"
The murmur of voices rose, some recognizing his last name, others dismissing him as an outsider.
Jason frowned when he heard the crazier speculations. Had it come this far? Had the Cross stooped so low that they were even willing to sully his name? But why now? Was it because he was rising up now?
Narrowing his eyes imperceptibly, Jason realised the reason. The Cross family was suppressing Jason by any means. If he rose up, he might spread the truth, and if he did that, they would have nowhere to bury their heads. They were controlling the narrative, trying to bury Jason before he could even rise up and become anything at all.
But still, these ideas that they were spreading were a bit messed up. It was not something he was sure the Cross family would have to do with, after all, he was still someone with the surname of Cross…
Anyway, it was clear someone had an agenda against him. And it seemed that the agenda was being pushed in this office first, after all, he would have heard of this in his office too, would he not?
Anyway, they were all lies. Lies only became useful if you believed them. And words only affect you if you let them.
Jason ignored them all, his focus on the task at hand. This was Veronica’s stage, but he was the secret weapon.
Right then and there, the doors swung open with a dramatic flourish, and in walked Tim Cross, flanked by a rotund, smirking man Jason recognised as Mr Miles.
Tim’s expression twisted into a sneer as his gaze landed on Jason. "Well, well. If it isn’t the family disgrace," Tim drawled, his voice dripping with mockery. "Still clinging to others for scraps, I see."
Suspect spotted, thought Jason as he looked at this fat man. Two fat men just walked in and one of them had just talked shit about him. It sounded like a shitty intro to a shitty joke, but there it was happening right in front of him.
Since someone was spreading rumours, then could it be that Tim Cross might be the reason his situation was the way it was? Jason kept himself calm even while knowing he was being plotted against like this.
Jason met his cousin’s taunts with an icy calm. "Good to see you too, Tim. Still overcompensating?" His voice was steady, his words a deliberate jab at Tim’s insecurity about his looks and his lack of ability in money and everything else in his life.
Tim’s face reddened, but before he could retort, Veronica stepped forward. "Gentlemen, we’re here to discuss business, not personal grievances. Let’s keep this professional." Her tone was firm, brooking no argument. Tim took a good look at Veronica, taking a fat gulp as he did, and Jason inwardly smirked.
She looks good, doesn’t she? You should have seen her without these clothes!
As the meeting commenced, it became clear that Mr Miles and his associates had orchestrated a trap within the contract. Veronica had begun speaking, telling everyone in the room that her legal team struggled to pinpoint the flaws, but Jason’s sharp eyes caught every subtle manipulation.
"So, Mr Miles... anything to add? Or are you ready to be exposed?" Veronica said, gazing at the two fat men, noticing how one of them was running his eyes up and down her body in a fashion that made her feel sick.
Tim and his fat friend were sitting there with calm smirks on their faces. Miles spoke up at that moment, leaning into the table, his fat belly spilling over onto the table. "What do you mean exposed? Ms veronica... I can’t believe you would say such a thing. There are no problems with the contract as far as I am concerned. I thought we were about to have a good cooperation... What is this?"
"If I may," Jason interjected smoothly, his voice cutting through the tension. He stood, commanding the room’s attention. "Clause 14, subsection B. It’s a loophole allowing unilateral asset liquidation under ambiguous terms. Conveniently vague, wouldn’t you agree, Mr Miles?"
The room fell silent, all eyes on Jason as his words sank in. Miles’ smirk faltered, replaced by a flicker of unease. How had he pinpointed the link? That was something they had buried in there under a few other clauses. It was way too hard for others to even find the source, and yet he had found it.
Miles did not know who Jason was, but he knew from the way Tim talked about him that he was someone he wanted to crush. Miles gritted his teeth. He would have to destroy Jason too.
"And that’s not all," Jason continued, pacing slowly. "Section 22 effectively binds Hall Enterprises to an unsustainable penalty clause. Termination would mean financial ruin. For not just us, but both our parties." He paused, his gaze sweeping the room. "Unless, of course, we renegotiate."
Veronica’s lips curved into a small, satisfied smile. Jason’s confidence and precision were disarming their opponents with every word.
Tim leaned forward, his voice a low growl. "And who are you to tell us how to handle contracts? Last I checked, you’re not even qualified." Tim spoke up at that moment, pointing out Jason’s lack of qualification as a dropout.
Jason’s smirk returned, this time colder. "I’m someone who’s done his homework. And unlike you, Tim, I’m not afraid to use my brain. You… seem pretty good at using your belly. Unfortunately, it’s not the organ of thought."
*Hsss!*
Everyone gasped, drawing in breaths of air. That was a terrifyingly effective jab. The tension in the room was palpable as Tim’s temper flared. "That still doesn’t change the fact that you are not even an employee of this company! You don’t deserve to be here standing by her side, you bastard, scumbag!"
But before he could escalate, Veronica spoke.
"Jason is here as my consultant," she said firmly, her tone leaving no room for debate. "And so far, he’s proven his worth. After all, he’s found something my entire team was unable to find in all this time…" As she said the last part, her eyes gazed at the people in the surroundings, making them look down at their laps. They had made mistakes. This was for sure now.
Tim’s jaw tightened, but he said nothing. Miles, however, chuckled softly. "Impressive. But this isn’t over yet." Jason smirked when he heard this.
Oh, I know it isn’t. After all, I’m not here to dismantle your contract, I’m here to ruin your plans entirely.
