The Martial Unity-Chapter 2825: Path Entangler
BOOOOOM!!!!!
The battle turned into a gruelling grind between the monster’s attacks and Rui’s guard.
BOOOOOM!!!!!
Each blow unleashed a devastating impact upon Rui.
And yet, he was unmoved.
Rui was normally a more aggressive fighter this late in the game when his adaptive evolution was complete. However, his expression and eyes were composed even as the monster’s attacks grew titanically powerful.
A power unleashed from every cell working in unison.
It reminded Rui of the spectating Amare.
But that was all.
Amare’s extraordinary mastery was akin to a supremely well-trained group of dancers dancing in perfect coordination due to many, many years of training with each other. The monster’s system was more akin to an untrained set of fellows receiving orders in earpieces from a single conductor, trying to get them all to work together.
"It is inferior."
WHOOSH
The monster’s eyes widened with a stunned expression as his attack crashed into an empty image.
A feint.
BOOOOOOOOM!!!!
CRACK CRACK CRACK!
The monster’s body shivered with pain as a thundering blow crashed into his body with a titanic impact, cracking his ribs on the spot.
"Your perfect internal communication is irrelevant if your mind can no longer keep up with me."
Rui had continuously refined the VOID algorithm and the SOUL System until it had reached the peak. Watching him evade his earth-bending attacks and later his relentless offensive assault had given Rui the final set of data needed to gain an immense insight and foresight into his opponent.
Enough such that even his Martial Mind and quantum internal communication could not keep up.
Especially when he was still greatly sabotaged by Rui’s Temporal Disharmony.
WHOOSH
Once more, his attack crashed into an empty image.
BOOOOOM!!!!
A thundering kick blasted his arm, leaving a tremendous bruise on his body.
One that healed in the blink of an eye.
"No matter," Rui’s tone was chilling. "We’ll see how long you can keep that up."
BOOOOOM!!!!!
BOOOOOM!!!!!
BOOOOOM!!!!!
BOOOOOM!!!!!
BOOOOOM!!!!!
Any attempt at retaliation fell flat as Rui evaded each and every single attack with feints and misdirection, before unleashing a tremendously powerful blow of his own.
Over.
And over.
And over.
He relied on alternating yin and yang frequencies to ensure that the monster could not absorb his attacks like he did earlier, ravaging his body with blow after blow, ever so slightly faster than the monster could heal with his instantaneous communication.
And that was just enough.
BOOOOOM!!!!!
BOOOOOM!!!!!
BOOOOOM!!!!!
He battered the monster extensively with blow after blow, slowly but surely accumulating damage faster than he normally would.
A slow and steady pace to inevitable victory.
A strategy that he would not have been able to exercise before he consumed the Blood of Solaris, but with it, his stamina vastly outstripped that of his opponent.
The monster’s breathing grew heavy and ragged.
His delicate and fluid movements grew messy.
His healing speed slowed down with each attack.
BOOOOOM!!!!!
The monster collapsed to his knees as Rui wound back his finishing attack to knock him out then and there.
And yet, he froze.
Against his will.
"…!"
His vision blurred.
His body locked up.
Almost as if it refused to answer to his own mind.
"It has a different master now."
The monster’s voice was calm and composed as ever as he slowly got up.
His face bruised, cut, and bloodied from the sheer onslaught of attacks that Rui had unleashed onto him.
His glistening white Martial attire bathed in his own blood.
His curly silver hair, once neatly groomed, was disheveled and filthy.
And yet, he inspired more terror in those who beheld him than ever before.

"You didn’t think…" A blood-curdling whisper escaped the monster. "You didn’t think that my brain’s control over my body was limited exclusively to my body, did you?"
It was then.
It was then that Rui realized the sheer horror of what was happening.
The monster’s Martial Embodiment consumed the very world as Rui bore witness to the truth of what was happening.
The strings that were once tied to the monster’s body, were now tied to Rui’s.
His body was the new puppet.
"I’ll admit, it had been a long time since someone forced me to go all-out," the monster smiled with warmth and kindness. "Behold…"
His eyes lit up with ecstatic delight.
"Behold my Path Entangler."
The monster’s magnum opus.
A system of thought studied his opponent’s Martial Body and identified micro anatomical, physiological micro-openings that were fit for cellular infiltration. Then, over the course of the fight, he would deploy special cells, entangling agents, into his body to infiltrate his opponent’s body to target his opponent’s nervous system.
Specifically, the synapses.
A junction through which nervous impulses passed.
It was far smaller than even cells, comprised of no more than a number of molecules which entangled with the entangling agents that his opponent deployed, allowing him to communicate at the speed of light.
Most people thought of physical objects disappearing and appearing elsewhere when one thought of the ’quantum teleportation,’ but in reality, the phenomenon had more to do with information than anything else.
The entangling agents would isolate major nerves that served as communication lines between the brain and the body, allowing him to sabotage and even control his opponent’s movements.

As though he was simply dangling their body with strings.
It was an extraordinary technique that bypassed all resistance, whether it was defense, or even poison resistance. Because it was so niche and absolutely unique, there wasn’t a single Martial Artist who had developed a counter to it up until now.
"I told you…"
The monster’s voice was chillingly pleasant.
He smiled at Rui.
"You should have accepted my help from the very start."
BOOOOOM!!!!!
Rui reeled under the devastating blow to the abdomen.
An attack that he had effortlessly defended against previously now inflicted tremendous damage.
His defense was largely active; it required coordination between mind and body.
With the Path Entangler, the coordination between mind and body had been sabotaged, depriving him of much of his active defense, leaving him immensely vulnerable to his opponent.
